I've got an Apple BT keyboard, and can get it to successfully pair with my Nook, but nothing else. I've tried using BlueKeyboard JP, and it sees the keyboard as well, but when I go to an input window, it says "Connecting, do not touch keyboard...", then after that goes away, its notification message says it's there but disconnected. This is really the last thing I want to get working on my NC before I'm really happy with it, but am kind of at a loss. Any suggestions? Thanks! Oh, and I'm running the latest nightly (160).
I've gotten my Apple BT Keyboard (came with my iMac) to pair, but keyboard does nothing.
(do not pair with a CM modded phone, causes the phone to bootloop unless you keep the keyboard far far away from it or disable bt on the phone or poweroff the keyboard etc.)

Hey,
today I thought I have to try something new. When i saw my HD2 lie on my bluetooth Keyboard I just had to give it a try. So I paired the HD2 with a Logitech Dinovo Edge keyboard.
For first impression just watch the linked video on youtube i made:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-l9GckkXzSw
It is kinda possible to control the HD2 with the keyboard. Some commands wont work with the keyboard arrows, some do.
It is possible to assign keyboard keys to Morphgear and FPSECE but they wont work in game. May somehow it would work since the keys are assigned.
Enjoy this one
BTW: its german layout qwertz keyboard but the HD2 takes it as a wwe qwerty keyboard so at the end of the video you see me having some trouble writing a ""
How do I go about pairing my diNovo Edge with the Leo?
I didn't even know the diNovo used Bluetooth, I thought since it came with a USB dongle it was USB.
Nice what kind of cradle do you have there?

i like it too what is it?
hey, yes the dinovo is a bluetooth keyboard ... i dont even use the logitech bluetooth dongle because i dont like the size of it.
Well, the cradle is the battery charging station for the bluetooth keyboard
Leo kinda fits in there but its connected nowhere just used it for the video.
I'm using the USB receiver since I use my Bluetooth for audio, not sure it could do both at the same time.
How do I go about putting the diNovo in pairing mode?
turn your keyboard upside down and press the connect button then look for available bt devices on your HD2
Incredible feature! Did any user who have bluetooth keyboard have tried this on Touch HD?
I saw this at WMPU.. good stuff ...
That's fun!
I just tried it on my HTC Elf and it works! Even when I turn off the screen.
I bet the iPad can do this too... oh wait, it probably can't, seeing as how Apple have their own overpriced keyboard/dock for it.
pairing a LG touch
just tried to pair my LG Touch with no success, the device does show up in my listing fully described, it asks for a passcode which i entered 0000, and it tries to pair and eventually fails....i wonder if you all are pairing because you are using HTC products.....which will be fine being the im due for my HTC Evo 4G next week.... WOOHOO!
Do you think a
Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/keyboards/keyboard/devices/3616
would work ?
Works with Logitech MX5500
Done and confirmed to work with Logitech MX5500 Keyboard
WOW amazing!
I've had a logitech dinovo edge for 4 years, and I always thought the bluetooth capability was somehow proprietary(even though thinking about it that doesn't make sense if it's labeled bluetooth) I just tried it out and it works pretty well, though when typing messages it starts to lag when i type too fast. I wish though it could take advantage of all the other inputs on the kbd like the trackpad.
HD2 bluetooth keyboard works great
I bought a mini bluetooth keyboard on [email protected] and it works great with my HD2.
It makes typing txt-msgs with my giant fingers easy.
It was only $34. Model wkb-1500
Can anyone shed some light on this? I have a Nexus One, stock 2.2.1 ROM and a DiNovo Edge. I can pair the keyboard with the phone but then I get "Paired but not Connected" in the bluetooth device listing. When I click on it there is no response, only the option to unpair.
Thoughts? Thanks!
also working : DiNovo Mini !!
Hello! i would also tell u that the diNovo Mini Keyboard is compatible to Leo. I'm using this little keyboard since 1 year and i am very happy with it. I can put it in my pocket too.... and the accu of it is very powerful (along 2 weeks of using every day)....
only the mediaplayer doesnt work with the buttons (i use strg + ...).
and the price : uuuuhhh a lil bit too much ;D
on the pics u can see how small it is... (cant compare with leo cause i shot the pics with him )

This response is over a week late, but if you get this, I hope it helps.
After pairing:
Download BlueKeyboard JP or Blue Input Demo from Market. After you install either of these programs, go into Settings>Language&Keyboard and check the box next to the program name (either BlueKeyboard JP or Blue Input). Go into the program's settings menu (should be right underneath it in the list). For BlueKeyboard JP, it'll ask you to select your keyboard and input type/style (e.g., US QWERTY), among other things. For Blue Input Demo, it'll allow you to search for your keyboard. Just search and choose it when it pops up on screen.
Last thing, change your input method. For example, if you want to use your keyboard to type a text message, open up the text messaging program. In any of the textbox where the text goes, press and hold your finger on the screen until a menu pops up with "Input Method" in it. Select it and choose the program you just downloaded (Blue Keyboard/Blue Input) in the menu. Your BT keyboard should now work.
I used Blue Input Demo on my HD2 with the diNovo Edge and found that it's better than BlueKeyboard JP. Give it a try and let me know if it works.
HEllo all,
I hope someone can advise or help me.
I have a Nokia SU-8W Bluetooth Keyboard which is a very good bit of kit.
It works flawlessly (0 lag) with a Bluetooth Mouse on my N95.
I cannot however get it to PAIR WITH MY HD2
I can find the device, then try to pair, the HD2 asks me to type in 6-7 Characters on the keyboard, which it picks up no problem.
It then says press enter to complete, at which point I get an error telling me that my device is not discoverable.
I have set the device to discoverable and to no discoverable yet this doesnt help.
I have tried with 3 different Radios 2.7.50, 2.7.51 and now 2.10.50 yet still gives me same error. (also stock, Dutty and Energy Roms)
I just want to make it work so I can play System Shock 1 on Dosbox
I really suffering in my Love Hate relationship with my HD2.....
At last my FM radio gives me more than 1/2 a station, and I got Wiimote working on FPSCE so I can play games....now I want dosbox with a keyboard hehe some people never satisfied!
Any advice or experience with this device or similar would be great.
Many thanks all!
Nokia BT Keyboard pairing
Hi, I did it a couple of weeks ago, and in the first place it was also not working for me.
But I have found out, that if it asks you to press the enter on the keyboard, that it is not the real enter on the keyboard. I am not having it with me now, but I managed it to get it paired to my HD2.
I will try to see, what I have done to get it paired, but my keyboard is at home and I am abroad at the moment. Give me some days.
Once you have it paired, it will makes the connection without problems, even if you have the BT as hidden (as i have). Beside that, you have to play with the correct language settings too, before you have the correct keyboard layout.
Remember, it is possible to get it paired
Edit, solution:
Press once (!) the FN key, you will see the (FN) light will light up.
Now, press the numerical code (these are located on top of the QWERTY keys, and they are now enabled because of the FN function).
After you have completed the entering the code, press the (FN) key again, this will switch off the numerical keys and now press enter.
You should have a connection now
Perfect!!
Thank u very much!!
+ 100 rep
Works perfectly. As IT support I should have noticed!
Many thanks
Works peftectly in word etc....
If I try to use it in Dos box.....is not acknowledgeing any key except the return key
I will investigate more!!

Hey guys,
How come when I pair up my Microsoft Notebook 5000 Bluetooth mouse, CM7 just literally FREEZES. It pairs fine, says it's paired, then BAM, frozen.
Anyone else have this issue and know how to fix?
Thanks!
EDIT: Okay, got CM7 to stop freezing, but now it just pairs, connects and then unconnects. WiiMote was painless, but a Mouse is a PITA. Anyone have tips?
EDIT 2: After a dozen attempts, it decided to pair.
EDIT 3: When turning on my mouse, it instantly pairs, and freezes CM7 to a lock. Does no one else have this problem? Hello? Anyone out there?
I have this same thing happen with two different brands of mouse, Logitech Mx1000 and a generic Inland BT mouse. I don't know the fix but I'm seeing the same shenanigans as you. It'll freeze every version of CM7 and Phiremod I've tried, and if I restart the Nook and turn the mouse back on, the system will lock up again as soon as the "connection arrows" appear on the sides of the Bluetooth icon in the status bar.
Same here but with a speaker phone. Shame. I was hoping to call out with Skype.

Same boat here - I have a Lenovo BT N6901 mouse which I use together with HP BT Keyboard KT-1087. I had to force shut down 3 or 4 times today.
This is how I finally get it to work - power off the keyboard and mouse, then reboot NC - then go to settings and enable BT and connect each of the devices one by one.
Occasionally, sometimes I have luck with deleting both devices and then pairing one device first or other. Just keep retesting.

Won't pair with my HD+. Keyboard works fine with my Galaxy Note and the Nook seems to pair fine with my notebook. Any ideas?
I have the Think Outside Stowaway Universal Bluetooth keyboard, this thing came out since 2004 I think, and I have no problem with any thing pairing with it yet. I originally brought it for my Nokia 770 and N800 back then.

Good old trusty...
Quick update: it looks like there's a request to confirm pairing pin that's not showing. I was attempting to pair it again and noticed when I pressed enter on the Bluetooth keyboard I immediately got a pop-up on the Nook stating that it was unable to pair because of an incorrect pin.
Update: I see similar comments on B&N's site. No pin pop-up. Also happens with other keyboards (Logitech K810 for example). Some have reported other bluetooth keyboards working.
I'm going to say that I had similar troubles pairing with my phone, had to do it on the phone, not the tablet, pairing request didn't show properly...

Is there an answer to this that doesn't require rooting?
Or what keyboards have people found to work with the nook HD+?
Google Play App Solves Bluetooth Keyboard Problems
I had the same problem, but with different hardware, an iHome "mac compatible" keyboard. Bluekeyboard worked for me

Has anyone tried pairing a bluetooth keyboard to their HD+?
I'm running 10.1.3RC2 and trying to pair a Motorola bluetooth android keyboard. I can get it to show up in the devices list when searching, but it always fails to pair. I never get the security key dialog.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Try turning off wifi while you try to pair.
Sent from my Nook HD+ running CM10.1 on emmc.
I forgot to follow up.
I did get this to work eventually. I blind typed the pairing key and it took.
Thanks!

Are you serious even in CM10.1 the security key dialog does NOT show up? This isn't good because I have a logitech keyboard which randomly generates a security key and I wanted to try installing CM10 to pair it but from what you're saying that won't help me in the slightest.
Can anyone follow up on this I really don't want to go through the trouble of shipping this back i just want to make it work, it's just a shame I'm stuck because a stupid dialog box won't pop up.

I never saw one, I figured I didn't have anything to lose trying it.
I just did a complete reinstall(did a factory reset + format /system) so I think it's probably lost the pairing. I'll re-do it and report back how it goes.
This time it'd be on 10.1.3.
Ok gave it a try. So, interesting...what I thought was blind entering the pair code last time might not have been it.
Once I figured out how to get my keyboard to reset and try pairing again, the tablet saw it and just paired immediately.
On the one hand, it sorta seems like it remembered the pairing from previously, but that seems unlikely, as powering the keyboard on and off several times, it did not ever autopair.
But it didn't ever ask me for a pairing key this time, but maybe it just tries 0000 by default?
TLDR:
it paired without asking me for a key, but I didn't enter a key either.

Hm maybe that keyboard doesn't require it or doesnt show a dialog because it's always 0000 but unfortunately the logitech keyboard randomly generates a 6-digit code everytime which is super annoying. Didn't really want to modify the nook but if i had some hope it would pair I'd just do it.
I'm not sure if anyone can give me an answer about CM10 allowing me to see the pairing code, but is anyone familiar with the app Bluetooth keyboard easyconnect? I'm not really sure what the app does but someone on another forum made it seem like that may be a solution to a problem someone else was having.
Edit: I went ahead and installed CM10.1 using the install guide for dummies just to chance it and I'd like to confirm that with the logitech keyboard the 6-digit Pairing code DOES appear now and is completely 100% usable. Hopefully anyone who may be searing for info on this topic in the future will find this post helpful.
So my keyboard will pair but I can't get it to work for input. Works fine with my laptop.
