Hello,
I have recently installed Nosense 4.2 in my HTC Desire HD. My only problem is that the rom has stock gmail app version 2.3.5 and I want to downgrade to 2.3.4 since 2.3.5 cannot handle correctly multiple accounts. Up to now, i have tried installing the older version with no success, tried to copy it to the system/app with no success. How can I downgrade an application succesfully ?
Thanks in advance.

Hello All,
I used to be on RoDrIgUeZsTyLe MUIU rom and bunch of other custom roms. Every rom has its ones pros and cons but were not very stable. So, I thought I will go back to stock. So, I flash stock rom and stock recovery and received OTA update and installed the updates. Now my phone is on the below version.
Android Version 2.2.1
Build Number - FRG83D
Market Version - 2.12
Baseband Version - 32.26.00.28U_4.06.00.12_7
I was able to successfully download and install many apps but whenever I try to download YouTube I always get "Installation of Youtube unsuccessfull" message. Also, I researched and saw that some people in Europe on Vodafone rom are having this issue. How do I know if my android version is totally stock?
Do you guys have any ideas on how I can successfully install this app without having to root my phone again? I would like to stay stock and unrooted if possible.
Thanks.
use titanium or manually uninstall the current youtube app, reboot then try to install again. Its because its a system app currently. youll probably have to do the same for car home, street view and a few others
I am un rooted, so I won't be able to use titanium. how do I uninstall manually though? I didn't have any issues installing other apps like street view etc.
Make sure the app is installed on your phone, and unmount the SD before updating...

I tried un mounting SD card and installing and still that didn't work. Thanks for trying to help though.
Try uninstalling the old version of YouTube first.

Click to collapse
....if you do not have root access how were you flashing an miui rom?
I was getting the exact same thing as you were, all you need to do is remove the old youtube app
good luck
Thanks for the responses. Like I said in my post I was rooted before but un rooted and went to complete stock 2.2.1. I know uninstalling youtube would resolve this issue but I am trying to find a way to uninstall the app without being rooted.

Hi guys, i have a nexus one with unlooked bootloader and rooted and running cyanogenmod 7.03, my question is simple can i flash to 7.1 or the new nighties without loosing my apps, not google apps but the ones i downloaded from the market, etc. It might be a simple question but just want to be sure. Thanks,
Just flash with out wipe, you'll be fine
Hi guys, I couldn't find anything related on the forums. Downgrading to 6.14.4 hasn't been an issue on sense roms but since I'm on Sinless Rom it just doesn't happen. I have tried uninstalling the 7 version through system, titanium backup and root Explorer, but when trying to flash the old one in TWRP I'm getting the same "failed" error.
Apologies if it's been asked before but I couldn't find anything.
Cheers, Stef.
Hello i have successfully rooted my phone, and installed android-4-4-kitkat-rom-root-for-htc-one using TWRP.
Everything is fine, the rom running like a charm, but my camera does not work.
I have successfully installed Google Apps
I've also tried to install new version of camera software, but there is a conflict, and i don't know how to remove the google apps camera.
I tried to install "A better camera" from android market, the app is installed but i received message - can't start the camera.
So the problem is in the Android, not in software i think.
Can somebody help me? I can provide specific information about version of software.
Thanks
Hello guys,
I have an old Samsung Galaxy Alpha G850F with 5.0.2 version of Android.
I have been able to root it using Odin, then I installed TWRP by the official App giving SU permissions, and I installed the AAMirror APK too.
Buuuuut... Android Auto isn't installing couse of the old Android version (...I think).
So I tried downloading an older Android Auto APK, but it always responds "Application not installed".
So what should I do?
Should I install a custom ROM with 6+ Android? Is it possible?
Is there any way to install Android Auto correctly on the 5.0.2?
Or... can i use AA Mirror without using Android Auto?
I'm feeling lost right now, ty for help.
Buy new phone that supports, solved.
