Is there anyway to swap the left and right eyes view to compensate for 3d videos and images that appear incorrect on the LG Thrill?

When u are viewing a picture in 3d in tue default gallery... click menu, then more and see an option called 3D formatter... that's what you want....

Thank you, that works great for pictures,
however i don't see a similar option like that for youtube videos for instance.
It appears to me that almost all Picutes taken by the camera places the left right pairs in Left/Right order while other solutions in general place them automatically in right/left order allowing for cross eyed viewing. For example when I take pictures with my cam phone nad view them with my 3D vision photo viewer i have to swap eyes manually each time. When i take pictures from my PC and transfer them ot my phone same issue.
Has nayone noticed that and do we know if it will be fixed?

Is it just me or is the camera's flash disabled in 3d mode?
Sent from my LG-P925 using XDA App
Agreed. It appears to be disabled.
I also tried to run the flashlight app and open the camera, but it wouldn't allow me to open the camera app if the flashlight app was running.
I think the reason is because the lighting would be slightly off on the two images so when they combine to make the 3D effect it would mess things up.

Agreed.
My friend has the HTC EVO 3D and he was * himself over how awesome of a photo I got, so went to take a comparison photo with his phone...IT FLASHED! I was soo confused.
The picture I took came out better (the image was close up to and the dynamic range of 3D is much higher between 1 and 6ft so anything with a flash everything will look awkwardly bright with that much flash...as his picture came out.)
Also, there is a custom camera app out there (might have been for the optimus 3d) but it might offer a solution.
Well if the Flash on the Evo 3D is washing out the pictures with too much light there is probably a reason they set it for no Flash when taking a 3D picture.
Thx
thx
Love the phone, especially with the Revolt 1.5 ROM, but I hate the camera. The camera lag, time between touching the button and getting a picture, is terrible. So bad, I can't use it to pictures of people/pets in candid moments. Tried taking photos of my boss opening her birthday gifts. All I got was blurry photos of her face buried in the next gift, not the photo of joy of her opening gifts.
Is there anything that can be done? a setting maybe, or a software issue that a future ROM could fix?
Love the phone, other than the damn camera!

You could try a different camera app. I personally haven't had issues with the stock camera, but I've been using camera advance pro. More features and seems to work smoother

Get a real camera? I haven't noticed anything to terrible but this thing isn't a real camera to me.. I have a 60D for that
The only thing that can really be done is inside the settings menu itself. Change the focus mode to face tracking, and turn flash off. The bad part is when you change the settings it does not hold once close the app.

camera update
mtmichaelson:
thanks for suggestion. I am trying Advanced Camera. The shutter lag is much less; so that is great. Also I like aLL the options and look forward to getting to use them all. BUT, there is a proble. The app has locked up twice on me and it only has been 1 hour.
xjli:
I have had and will soon get a dedicated camera, but I would like to be able to capture spontaneous shots whenever the opportunity arises. I always have my phone; won't always have a camera. The Advanced Camera app might be the answer if the force closes go away.

I've got a 30D. Love it but doesn't exactly fit in my pocket hehe.
I've noticed turning the flash off helps with the delay. And as I'm sure xjili will agree, you should almost never have that damn thing on anyway. Flash ruins the white balance / color of photos and makes them look horrible. Easily the most over/mis-used feature of any camera.
My personal favorite is when people use the flash when taking a picture of something far away... Do they really think their built-in flash has a range of 50 meters? But I digress...
Does Camera Advance have any sort of "shaky hand" compensation feature? Awhile back I purchased Camera ZOOM FX for my original Droid; it had that option and it actually worked really well. I totally forgot about it until now, but I'll install it, see how it works on the Revo, and post a review of some sort.

From what I've seen, there is no stabilization feature, however three is an option for a burst about, which takes three images in rapid succession. That could get a clear shot if you have the shakes

Camera ZOOM FX seems to work very well, lots of features including the stabilization feature, but the accelerometer in the Revo appears to be too sensitive to make use of this.
Other features:
*Burst shot. You can set the delay between each photo as well as how many to take (up to 14).
*Add effects to your photos, with lots of effects available for download in the market if you're into that kind of thang.
*Can be set as default camera app.
*Timer delayed shot. Also has an option to take photo when you clap, but I haven't tested that.
*You can set swiping left/right/up/down to various functions like changing white balance, antibanding, zooming in/out, et al.
*Digital zoom seems to work pretty well.
*Haven't had any FC problems, and it definitely snaps photos faster.
*I like the interface considerably more than the stock one. Will get some screen caps if anyone expresses interest.
I'm definitely gonna be using this I instead of the stock camera. No problems shooting video with it either.

I know we can take 3D pictures, but what about viewing 3D pics others have taken. Besides using Phereo 3D app to view a catalog of nice 3D images, an updated app called 3Dsteroid has a gallery of 3D photos from Japan among other places that look great on the Thrill. I tried it today and it worked great. Just thought you should know.
Has anyone watched the demo video with the fields, fish and mountains etc. Have you noticed that it appears to be 3Dish. Not cinema 3D but the effect is there. Everyone that I show sees the same effect. Some 3D movies (Avatar etc) look great.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is this a software thing or hardware?

I noticed that too! I thought it must have been my eyes playing tricks on me, Sony Mobile Bravia Engine? I'm not sure. Oh well.

Yes, the video looks awesome and definately "quasi" 3D, but it is not really 3D, its a trick in the video editing by slightly changing the perspective point int he video and your eye naturally follows it giving the slight impression of 3D.
where I can find the video?

Movie is here for all to see
Hi all, I have owned every Pixel and Nexus phone. Never really got into photography, so I don't know much about taking pics.
In the camera app there are what looks like to be 3 zoom options.
.6x, 1x and 2x.
Is .6x the new addition of the wide lense? Looks wide.
Also when I take a picture with 1x it looks like a normal picture. When I take a picture with 2x, on the phone screen it looks to zoom in as 2x but once the picture is processed and I go back to look at it, it's only 1x.
Issue? Can anyone else confirm this?
Does it matter if I take pictures with the phone upright or horizontally? Does it make any difference.
Thanks.
Well don't know what happened, but now when I take a pic with 1x the picture come out as 1x, and when I take a picture with 2x it come out as 2x instead of 1x like it was doing before.
I have had 2x zoom photos come out at 1x occasionally but it has been fine since the camera updated the other day.

If you are taking a selfie, or a picture of one individual, portrait mode is fine. But multiple targets look better in landscape. And please, please never shoot a video in portrait mode, ever!
Thanks for the replies and advice

LMAO I see people using portrait for videos and it drives me nuts... Although when doing a comparison side by side with the Pixel 4 I had to film portrait to be able to hold both devices while recording
