or check you system time

Its a 'bug' from the new market. Either u update it later or wait for 2 updates or more and update all at once.
Such issue happens occasionally to me too.

Now i have a new market and so far no probs

Happened to me once, here's what I did:
Go to Settings, Applications and then Market. Clear Data and Clear Cache then restart phone. After 3 to 5 minutes on restart, try the Market again...if still freezes, good luck check XDA for the APK of Market maybe reloading it might do the trick

[Q] Can't download from Market via WIFI

I recently just flash a custom rom with my phone, and I think nothing is wrong, I'm able to download apps in the market by then, but I'm using 3G. This morning I installed a Wifi modem in my PC so I can use WIFI instead of 3g in my phone. But unfortunately I can't download anything from the market, even updates of existing apps. It just says 'app name' + Error cannot download bla bla bla. I just googled it and found out there are also others who encounter it but can't find any established solution.
Any ideas or tips would be really helpful. Thanks
EDIT: everythng is working in my connection, i can browse and even download to other sites, just the market
bump.. any ideas?
Clear the Cache of the market. Had the same problem after titanium backup restore. And install a new app after cache clean.

Yes I already clear the cache, you're right I think this happens after I restore using Titanium. What do you mean " install a new app after cache clean" because I still can't download any apps from market, still having the same error.
Last time i had to install a new app in the market but over 3g not wifi.

What kernel do you have and what version of rom do you have?
I will try to describe my problems with WiFi and Speedmod Kernel:
I have flashed xxjvt and after that i have tried to root the phone from CWM of Speedmod. I had 3 options to root and insatl busybox: simple, adv with some busybox comand remove and expert with most of busybox comands remove.
And the big surprize was because when i chose adv or expert 3G conection was perfectly fine but with WiFi no chance.
So maybe you have a problem with the implementation of busybox...maybe
Try an older market version if you can, the latest version is kinda buggy IMO...

Have you tried going to the market app and uninstall updates and clean data? I've had this problem and it was solved after this.
Go into recovery and wipe cache partition.

im guessing its the new market
Solution 1-Go to manage apps-Market-Uninstall updates and clear data
Solution 2-Needs Root
Flash old market as Zip in CWM
After flashing I always delete /system/app/marketupdater.apk
Finally hit my thanks, before i hit u! loll

Google Play keeps Force Closing

I just re-installed the GingerVolt 1.3 ROM and then installed the ICS Theme for it, and it worked fine, until i opened the Market Place (or Play store, whatever you wanna call it lol) and then when I download something it causes the Market Place to force close, and every time i try to open the Market Place after that, it just automatically force closes and wont let me open it. Then I reboot the phone, and i will let me open it again but as soon as I try and download something, it does it all over again, and keeps doing it until i reboot the phone again. So I Restored the phone to the last backup I made, which I wasn't having this problem when i made that backup. But now, even after I restored the backup its still giving me the same problem. So I don't know wtf the problem is and how to fix it, restoring the backup i made was my only idea. But as i said, even after restoring the backup, its still happening. So does anyone know what the problem might be, and how I can possibly fix it.
And now its not letting me open it at all. I rebooted my phone 3 times and now it just force closes even if I don't try to download something first. WTF ! This is frustrating, I've never not been able to fix an issue on my phones before, but I can't seem to figure this one out. I wish there was a way to delete the market place and re-install it. But as far as I know there isn't a way....is there ?
As far a being able to reinstall the market you should be able to download gapps and flash it via cwm recovery.

But I am wondering it could be an issue with an incompatible with the newer radio and the one ment for GingerVolt 1.3.... What is your current as version (like mine is vs910v9)? If I'm thinking correctly the last sw version that supported GingerVolt was v7. (Please correct me if I'm wrong)

Try wiping the app cache. If that doesn't work, try that and wiping cache/dalvik.
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda app-developers app
I tried wiping the cache a couple times already before posting this, but I hadn't tried wiping the dalvik, but I just wiped both and still no go, and now as soon as my phone loads into the homescreen, it tells me that Google play has forced closed before I even try opening it. Before it wasn't happening til I opened it and tried to download something, then it would start forcr closing everytime I tried to open it, but like I said, now it force closes as soon as my phone boots into the homescreen. So something is definitely corrupted it seems. I think I am gonna have to completely restore my phone back to factory settings. Unfortunately my backup that I made when I first got the phone almost 2yrs ago has been lost somehow, so I am going to have to reset the phone manually. Which I've never done on this phone so I am gonna have to look up how to do it.
Unless anyone else has some suggestions on fixing this issue so I don't have to go to that extreme.

Oh and baseband version is VS910ZV7
And I don't think gingervolt is my problem cause it worked fine until I installed the ICS aka Kangwhich theme, that's when Google play started messing up and force closing on me.
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda app-developers app
You could try just flashing the play store aka gapps. You can get it through the link I gave in my other post.
http://wiki.rootzwiki.com/Google_Apps#20110828
If that doesn't work then there's always flash back to stock via the tot file for which ever Version you choose (pain to get it setup but very handy to have if an issue like this arises)

Google play not downloading

Google play is not installing any apps on my phone. For example when I download titanium backup, the installation gets stuck on downloading. I searched other forums and tried their solutions but still no success. I cleared cache and data, uninstalled updates, forced close the app, changed my account, changed the rom I was using and rebooted my phone. But none of these helped me. Please give me a solution ! I cant do anything on my phone!

[Q] Google Play no connection MIUI v5 fix?

Hey guys, I am using MIUI v5 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2300329 and everything worked really great until yesterday, when Google Play stopped working. Whether I connect over network or wifi, it just gives me an error "No connection" as soon as I click it (google play). What should I do? I had "Freedom" but removed it, and since yesterday google play won't work.
Can anyone help me? I tried to find similar problem from someone else, but wasn't lucky enough to fix it for me. Thanks in advance.

Just tried it, still no connection. To clarify: as soon as I click "retry" button, it kind of refresh very fast with the same message, it won't even try to spin the circle so it would appear as it is doing something, loadin or such. I can't upload a screenshot as I don't have 10 posts yet
Any other solution I could try to fix this? I can't update apps, can't install new ones over play, it's so annoying.

Messed about the the SDcard partitioning and reformatted it then flashed a new copy of the gapp .zip and success! Although i lost my full backup & contacts that was saved on SDcard but that was my own fault for not paying attention Lol.
Fresh backup will be done tonight so i dont have to go threw this process again, spent hours today working it out!
Try different gapps
