Stuck on 3e recovery

I was running perc 4 i flashed back to stock then to perception6 but now i am some how on 2.1 but with some 2.2 features like flash player and a few other and it wont let me root. They r in to big of a pissing match to get some help in the other forms can anbody help?

I have many times with the one click oden and still the same everytime its leaving my firmware at 2.2

You are using the wrong odin. You are looking for the one that flashes jf6. I think you are using the froyo flasher

I am new here.. Could you please send me a link or some sort of directory... I can not find ezbase or ezboot.

Just go to development section, then use the search function and search ezbase. I'm on my phone so can't help with the search.

Hello most of the root guides for this phone are vague and not well done. Anyone have a detailed easy way to root the captivate?

You could always flash a rom that prerouted. Cyanogenmod roms all come pre flashed and allow you to keep up to date with modern phones. (allows you to go up to Ice cream sandwich 4.0.4! Also Its not unbrickable by any means. I accidentally came very close to bricking my captivate when i first started modding it. Luckily I got a jig and jigged the crap out of it! HAHA

my captivate are bricked, dont go in download mode

I have a samsung captivate and after installing a rom the phone is not turned on.
does not start, does not go into recovery mode and even in download mode, how can I reset it without sending it in for service?
this is now ....

Treat that screen the same as you would the Download mode screen.
Use Odin or Heimdall to flash back to Stock KK4.

[Q] Boot loop even when going back to stock?

I had been running an AOSP ROM which started giving me problems with suggesting that I needed to hard reset the tablet. Since I wanted to try a different ROM anyway, I flashed one via CWM. This got me to a bootloop. Then, I figured I used heimdall to go back to a stock ROM and I'm staring now at a Verizon logo bootloop.
Does anyone happen to know what I can do here? I just want to eventually end up on a CM 10.1 ROM, that's the only goal.
