Question about swift key x - Motorola Droid Bionic

I just bought it the KB itself works great but the voice recognition and applying what it records in a text doesnt seem to work anyone else experiencing this?

Is it really so much better than Swype? I'm having a hard time convincing myself I need a better keyboard.

I'm experiencing it as well, it's a known issue that's posted on their website. The workaround is to exit the application you're typing in and come back to it, the text should show up....or just switch to an alt keyboard when you need voice entry. It's my favorite keyboard, been using it for several months now. Didn't have the issue on my Incredible but I get it on my Bionic, so I can say it's a great keyboard when it's working right.

Lag!

I get tons of lag with the built in swype keyboard and anything dealing with google voice.
Any clue what is going on?

Not wanting to be the guy that says "nah nah na-nah nah" but I use swype exclusively and google voice a.great bit. Have you changed any settings recently? Try stopping the swype and google voice services and rebooting.

I'm not experiencing lag in Google Voice with Swype. I use them together many times each day. Do you experience the same problem when you toggle back to the stock keyboard? Have you installed any third party keyboards or security apps that record key strokes?
No strange apps here.
Tried uninstalling reinstalling flatting and stopping.
No idea what it could be.... I guess it its good you guys aren't having issues.

Odd... I removed a couple keyboard (SwiftKey touchpal flext9) that weren't even "active" and it seems to have fixed it.

[Q]Google Voice Typing Location

I am on HTC Vivid. I tried updating to ICS to only realize that it failed. I see the new keyboard for ICS the Google Voice Typing. Does anyone know where that is installed on the device of ICS so i can try to pull it off and use it on my Vivid. would be excellent.
Thank you

Also, realize you want the google keyboard but swype also offers a beta that has a voice option. Just google swype beta and it will pop up.
Swype is a decent app but I ended up going back to the stock keyboard as it is more functional..some prefer swype I guess..

I have bigger fingers so it makes it hard for me to tap away at the keyboard. I am much faster swyping.
I have big hands also and the dang space bar is the most frustrating thing on the keyboard...always hitting the period instead of space bar...it needs to be wider..

I agree. The keyboard on the Inspire was perfect...and it was .2 inches smaller of a screen and included a directional arrows.
And to answer the original question most of what the OP is asking about I would think would be in HTC_IME.apk

Swype

Hey quick question I'm a Swype user since the beginning.I activated Swype and away I went.I notice all of a sudden it is not working correctly when replying to emails. It works on texts and even posting here...but when replying to emails it doesn't capitalize or space between words although it is set up correctly and working on every other application but the native mail app which is very nice. anyone else experience this? It did work correctly for a day.thanks!!!

Yes, known issue (sorry, don't have the link). I think someone may have mentioned that the version available on the Play Store fixed these issues but can't remember for sure.
Yes, version 1.5 in the Play Store fixes this, for $.99

Problem with SMS and Google voice default setting

I can't for the life of me figure out how to use Google Voice as my default SMS app. My Note 3 and every other phone I've used in the past few years has all had this as an option. I don't really want to use hangouts as it's just not really setup as a SMS app yet.
Anyone else have this issue or a possible solutions?

This made me giggle
I've been searching around and it seems that this is an issue for all S5's no matter the carrier. I'm experiencing the same issue on my T-Mobile S5. It sucks because I can't get my Google Glass to send messages from Google Voice anymore.
Hopefully Samsung will fix this asap.

I don't have it either and just flashed the first official 4.4.2 to my note2 and it's not there either so maybe it's a change to the newer 4.4.2 firmwares.

Advance Messaging on AT&T

Anyone else experiencing issues with the feature since the last two updates? CSGA and CSGB is when mine started to basically not work at all. Just wondering is any other XDA folks are experiencing this issue and if you found a workaround
My messaging is still working fine, but my phone app seems temperamental now. When I make my call, I have to turn off my screen, count to 5, and then turn it back on to have in-call control. I also use Google Voice, but that hasn't seemed to have any impact.
I dumped advanced messaging always gave me issues.

So what do you use instead? To send high quality pics and videos and such? Also does it have a form of rcs
I just use stock messaging. Really didnt see a difference when I sent video clips with advanced messaging.
