FXZ. Or, pull your battery then reboot. That somehow fixed me twice this weekend when stuck.

It's the new SBF, found in development. Or, it would probably be easier to use dhacker's one click fix - found in the same section.

Thanks for teaching me how to find the stock recovery on this. I tried the old volume down trick and only got the fastboot menu. Not sure why I didn't try both buttons. Durp! moment for sure...

If your phone boots up, you can get into openrecovery directly without the need of pressing any keys. Check the link below.

You can't possibly hard brick your phone using Odin and the official Samsung ROM unless you've ticked something in Odin like Nand Erase all, Flash Lock, T Flash... You can only soft brick it in which case you simply reboot into download mode and reflash the ROM.

Basically, Aroma froze while installing TrickDroid so I tried to send adb reboot recovery to the phone and got a nice message saying "error: device not found"
I tried holding the power button+volDown to reboot it but that hasn't worked. The capacitive buttons began to flash and I continued holding for ~1-1.5 minutes.
Is there anything I'm not doing correctly? I've been a long time lurker coming from a SGS2 and things are quite different with this phone so forgive me if I indeed am a noob.

I've noticed with my Dev unit it won't reboot with the power + vol down buttons. I've gotten stuck in Aroma Installer a couple times like that. I just had to keep trying. It seemed to respond better when it wasn't plugged in to the charger, but that may be just me.

Yeah, I'd hold the power+volDown, just power, power+volUp+volDown and nothing was working. I unplugged it from my computer and kept trying to get the 2 buttons pressed simultaneously and eventually I did get it to work.
Already disliking the idea of a non-removable battery...

Aroma works fine on phones below 1080p.
Aroma must be fixed. We know WHY it locks up, it just hasn't been fixed yet.
I've had it lock up without touching ANYTHING.
Locked up on the first screen of a rom install.

I first installed twrp and it locked up the first time I tried flashing a rom. I switched to cwm because I'm much more used to that and I read aroma doesn't crash quite as often with it. Not sure how true that is but I like cwm better anyway.

Twrp crashed my first flash attempt and aroma mostly crashes right after the install is finished, during the install sometimes, and rarely when using the physical buttons to navigate it.
I haven't been able to use an adb command with either recovery when aroma crashes. Not sure if that's the same with everyone else.

Hi guys, I recently tried flashing CyanogenMod 10.2 on my atrix hd which it said was successful. (I guess) But after restarting, it wouldnt boot pass the CyanogenMod spinning Logo (boot loop?) . So I pressed vol up+down and power to shut it off. It works but then it immediately boots up to the unlocked bootloader screen and goes back to the cyanmod logo again. So far I pulled the battery which worked but after pressing vol up + power, or vol down + power it goes to unlock bootloader screen then back to the CyanogenMod logo. Is it bricked? I have a back up atrix but I dont wanna use it

You pulled your phone apart to pull the battery? Try this: hold all 3 buttons to shut it off, and once it's off let go of all 3, then hold both volume buttons and spam the power button. Once you get to the menu, press volume down then volume up and it should boot into CWM. (You do have CWM, right?)

I've been trying to boot into the stock recovery on my phone, primarily to wipe the cache, and it won't do anything. Just seems to boot into a black screen, then an image of the phone with a red triangle and an upside down exclamation mark shows up.
Is this normal?
My phone is completely untouched. Not been rooted unlocked or S-Off.
Is it that you aren't meant to go into recovery on completely stock firmware?

Its essentially a two step process to get there. Once you get to that red triangle, hold UP + POWER until you enter recovery, it'll be a black screen with blue writing.

I tried that. Waited for the image of the phone and the triangle etc. Then pressed volume up and power, and it just rebooted the phone. Kept holding, and it turned the phone off.
