I am running stock 5.5.959.XT862.Verizon.en.US rooted using the method posted in the forums.
When I try to turn on the Wifi it goes into a loop of turning on/turning off and it doesn't stop until I reboot the phone.
Is there any way to fix this?should I try updating to steel droid?

Hello everyone,
I'm using a samsung galaxy s plus and i've flashed the ParanoidAndroid 4.0.4 rom on my phone. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1729331
I've followed the instructions and the rom itself is working great. But if i try to reboot or go into recovery mode by holding the power button and selecting either, the phone will reboot and get stuck on the samsung logo.
If i then remove and reinsert the battery, it will boot up normally. Untill i try to reboot or go into recovery again.
I've tried wiping the caches, changing kernel and even reinstalling the rom but the problem persists.
I'm really hoping someone knows more about this problem and can help me find a way to fix it, because this rom is pretty damn nice and it would be a shame to stop using it.
Thanks in advance
EDIT:
Well...don't i feel stupid now.
I seem to have fixed it by disabling "touch sounds"
Sorry for the waste of time.
after install of new rom phone shuts off, as i always do i flash a new rom way too often, but now i go to flash another one(doesnt matter which one) once i go to restart phone after flashing i see the HTC screen and thenn phone shuts off , maybe one second. i then turn it back on and it stays on HTC screen. only way to get phone to work is go into bootloader and flash old standby to restore to factory settings.
did i just flash one too many times and broke it, i lost any help would be great
i also have tried many different recoveries
Hey I got it, don't know why but I found an old copy of darchstars recovery and I am up and running again. Thanks

Hello everyone,
I had installed CM12.1 around a month back and everything was running smoothly until today. My phone suddenly got rebooted automatically and since than it is stuck in boot loop. Once CM Logo appears it again reboots. When I remove the battery and insert it after couple of minutes it automatically gets on without pressing power on button. It is not switching Off. Because of this I can't even go to custom recovery to flash stock rom. I kept Android Debugging off as it was giving BSOD to my PC. So please help me to recover my phone.
Thank You.
