Hi all, i have a new touch pro/raphael.
I would like to know your advice on which applications a kind of "must have" on this device.
Especially, I need
- the best GPS navigation sw (for Italy)
- something to reject calls from certain numbers
- all the system tricks/applications that are, in your opinion, indispensable
- some software advices from you
Thanks a lot!!

Hi peeps, my first post here! I just got my X1 and is loving it!
I'm looking for a freeware GPS navigation software that will work properly with our X1 that does not require GPRS or WIFI connectivity.
Any reccomendations?
The only free and GPLed GPS software I know is local to Israel only WWW.WAZE.CO.IL program. It does use GPRS/WiFi but only to download RT information about traffic and map updates. Can be disabled.
There is SDK published to create your own maps but no WorldWide development active as soon as their software is completely free and community driven.
Hello, there's a freeware called NONI GPS Plot.
You can download it from : http://aeguerre.free.fr/Public/PocketPC/NoniGPSPlot/EN/index.php
It has a lot of functions : speed alarm, route tracing etc...

You should think about grabbing a copy of Copilot Live 8. Tried it, loved it. Have since transferred it to my Streak, but it works great on X1.
IGO8 8.3.4.xxx, no doubt! If you would like version already running on Xperia X1 p.m me. This version support voice alerts, live update, bluetooth support, 3D builds and up-to-date maps...

Navigation software, open streetmap
Hi,
this may be my opportunity to contribute:
For I am a new user, I am not allowed to post links, sorry. Google will help you.
I was also looking for navigation software, especially for biking.
There is a internet routing service which uses open streetmanp maps. Which seems to be pretty good.
The domain is:
openrouteservice
You can switch the language to english.
While searching for a pocket application I stumbled upon
wiki.openstreetmap org wiki WinPDA
Here you find tons of software which you can try. Currently I am not able to recommend anything, cause I am still trying which suits me best.
Currently I am testing
monav
I think your choice will depend on your usage of the software, the memory of your phone and if or if not you have a internet flatrate (> google maps mobile).
I want to switch from google to a software, which uses maps stored on sd card to cut my cost.
Hope I could help,
Jens
Dear Friends,
Long time passed since I was active here, I and try to learn android app development and I have installed JAVA/Android Studio but I can't use it because everything is too small on my new 5K monitor (Philips).
Windows scale doesn't help, changing font sizes in windows breaks some menus in A.studio, I don't know what to do, when the Programs will catch up with the new hardware?
Thanks in ahead!
