what rom did you change to?
I have it on realsteel with the v5 mods.
Try charging with the phone turned off?
Mmm i have similar issue try a different microsd cable and if you are able to can check charging with an ipad charger as they give more juice...
I personally use my brothers ipad2 charger and a nokia microsd cable.. because my cable stoped charging its dead and my brothers d3 cable is also dying, and gets the phone HOT....
Sent from my GTablet using Tapatalk
The phone charges fine when its off. but then it discharges so fast with almost everything switched off.
I wonder if it is a bad flash?

Hi everyone,
I've got a problem. When i charge my phone by USB on my laptop. The battery keeps to be drained. The notification icon says it is charging but it's like if it wasn't. When i try to charge my phone by AC adapter, It quickly charge without problems.
When i charge the battery, Wifi and Bluetooth are not activated.
Does anyone has noticed that ?
Thanks by advance

Try from another laptop or desktop.Sometimes Laptops don't provide enough power! Mine for example takes double time with laptop

Being my 1st smartphone (came from a BB) I have noticed it is slow to charge on USB but dont have anything to compare to. Will go up by about 10% in 40Mins for me.
I know that USB has less power running through it so wont charge up anywhere near a mains charge so bare that in mind.
Have you tried other USB ports or another computer? Might be just not enough juice coming through to charge it properly.

Hahahahaaha! Same answer same time!!!!
hello,
I had the exact same problem when I had juice defender installed. Who said "irony" ?
Hi all,
Have a strange problem.
Galaaxy S i9000 XXJVT - phone will occasionally charge on mains but rarely. Usually when battery completely depleted, but not always. Checked wires and also changed charger but all is ok with chargers.
Phone charges OK with USB though. Any known bugs on this? Sorry if it has been posted before but couldnt find any problem like this one.

Really weird problem coz the phone uses the same two pins in a USB socket to charge.. Also, it can't discriminate between a wall charger and a USB cable in terms of charging..
How many chargers have you tried it on? have you tried to use your charger in anyone else's phone?

Yes to all! I checked that the prob wasnt with my charger. There is some instability in charging also. As soon as I manage to charge it 100% on wall plug (occasionally) it stops charging. So overnight, it takes a couple of hours to charge then wont start again.
Recommend reinstall??

hmmm.. Try to install another stock rom perhaps, not the same one you have..
Ok basically I had my first battery drained completely (my phone was around 1 year ++).
I've been experiencing battery drains on my phone such that it is discharging faster than it chargers and I also realized that I'm unable to connect to the PC/ unable to mount SD card.
Knowing that my problem exists, I went on to a repair shop and they replaced my port for $S90 SGD. After replacing my port, I was happy that my phone can finally be connected to my PC without any problems..
Until one day, I realized my phone was discharging faster and soon it reaches 0% on my screen. I quickly plugged in the AC wall adapter and continuing using (by right it shouldn't go flat). To my surprise it went flat and I couldn't charge my battery at all, I was having the Orange LED light.
So I went to the repair shop again and they sort of bumped my battery up and charged my phone. Seeing that my battery discharges faster than it charges, they told me they my battery is damaged and so I went on to get a new battery...
New battery came, I plugged in, turned my phone on successfully without any problems. Battery was at 65%. I left it few hours to charge and WTF my battery turns to 19% and eventually flatten out again .
Now here's the thing.
My 1st battery, (Totally unable to charge, No blinking orange LED)
My 2nd battery, when I leave it for a few hours (I plugged it in and there's orange LED), and soon there's not even an orange LED light anymore.
I really do not know what the hell is wrong with my phone. I'm so disappointed. I just thought that it might not be my battery's problem because a brand new battery shouldn't have any problems..
Really need some advice noww :crying:
Gonna cry. Wth is wrong with my phone?!

You might have apps that are drawing too much current, a charger that's not supplying enough or is not recognized as ac charging.
Install current widget or something similar to see both how fast your battery is draining and how much current the charger is supplying.

My old Inc S did the same thing as what your describing, and the charger port was faulty. I had to wiggle the cord into the perfect position to get it to charge, and even then it only actually charged half the time. Got it replaced by bell.
When you plug your charger cord in, does it wiggle a lot to the left or right? As in more that it normally should?

The problem is I can't even turn on my phone at all to install any apps because my battery is completely drained. I just don't get it how come my phone drains the battery faster than it charges. Perhaps it's my charger not supplying enough power .
It's my second battery already and I'm now sure that it is not a battery problem.
Should I change an adapter (like maybe the iPhone adapter head) and use my usb cable to charge my phone. Will it provide more current

Well, I am not sure whether if it was charging port that was fault. It indeed charged when I tried my 2nd battery when it first came it had 65%. I went on to charge it and the percentage drops when it was charging (when the phone is off) . Perhaps it's not the apps that are draining all the current.
My phone is losing current... My 2nd battery is also completely drained off after sometime and I'm unable to on my phone. Irritating max.
My charging port just got replaced because I cannot mount my SD to the computer and I had it replaced and I was able to connect to the computer and LED indicates it charges.
What could be the other reasons that my phone is losing current? I'm not sure about hardware parts, but maybe perhaps it's the charging gland or whatever things inside the phone that is damaged?
Leave charger plugged in while light flashing. If the light goes off unplug and plug again. You might need to do a few times but the orange light should stay on eventually. Let it charge a while before switching back on. Good luck.

Bought that one the other day.... when I first charged my phone on it, it seemed to have worked just fine. Now I'm charging my phone again, and it's taken almost 2 hours to just go from about 45% to 68%. I'm using the dock with the Sony charger that came with my phone.
Is this normal?

Try plugging the cable into the AC. If it's still slow, there's something wrong with the cable.
Do you have any other micro usb cables that could fit into the dock? Try those too; see if they're any different.
Hi...
For a while now I've had a problem with my Note 9 only displaying that it is regular charging when plugged into my fast charger plug and cable. I tried a numbr of troubleshooting steps from restarting, cleaning the port, trying safe mode, buying replacement fast charger and cable, factory settings, rooting but it still only showed as cable charging so I became convinced it was a physical problem with the port. Wireless fast charging continues to work as it should.
I recently installed AccuBattery and when plugged into my fast charger/cable, the charge current completely fills the the green bar to between 1800-2000 mA so now I'm beginning to wonder whether fast charging is working ok, but the phone is reporting it incorrectly.
Does anyone else know what kind of charge current the Note 9 should have when cable fast charging please? Also, just out of curiosity, what should it be when wirelessly fast charging too please?
Thanks for any help...

I know this is ridiculous question. Did you enable it in battery setting?

I started charging at 25%. With screen on I got 2700mah.
I left my phone off for 15 mins and stayed at that 2700mah average.
When I turned my phone screen on, I had 45% but screen on charge dropped to 1000mah.
If you look at the bottom of my screenshot, it explains why you need to turn your screen off to get accurate fast charge Numbers. Your phone might throttle the screen on charge if a certain criteria is met.
Once again. Did you enable it in the settings?
I am eagerly awaiting your response... [emoji3]

Hmmm the numbers you get do seem to suggest there is an issue with my phone. The screen off speeds are around the same as screen on.
Samsung quoted about £10,000,000 to repair as it's rooted and they have to replace the entire board to satisfy their warranty terms.
May have a go at replacing the charging port myself.
Thanks again :good:

I don't use fast charging, ever. So that's probably why my port still works. I have gotten so much dirt in it and cleaned it out it isn't even funny. So I'm less 6 to believe that fast charging is what ruins the port not debris.
A lot of people who use fast charging have the same issue as you-,it burns out the port.
Honestly, my advice is to love with fast charging over wireless and not spend a billion dollars replacing the port. Wait until it's time to replace the battery in a year or two and do it then. Fast charging over cable only saves you 30-40 minutes. I can charge and do charge my phone normally and it only takes around an hour and 40 minutes.
