I was in the same spot a week ago... full reflash back to stock and that should work. Use RSD lite

Can you list the steps of how to do that. Everytime I use RSD lite it says flash fail 1/15?

[Q] Sticky wicket

Hi everyone,
by flashing neldars BLN 3.0 (Gingerbread) via his SGS kernel flasher there has gone something wrong. somehow my phone couldnt boot anymore and my CWM recovery turned back into the stock 3e. I would try to flash the stock-rom via odin but my battery has only 10%. Then i tryed to charge it at first before flashing something but when i put the battery back into the phone and plug in the charger, theres an icon with a phone and a PC connected to each other and in the center of them is an exclamation mark. So I decided to get the battery off the phone.
What can I do?
Last working ROM: Simply Honey 3.3 (Gingerbread) @ CF-Root Kernel
Need jig look on ebay i had same icons on screen and jig sorted it out or could make your own its well posted on here

the deadlink icon usually shows when you are using a usb cable as charge, how about try using the wall charger for charge. if the battery is already good. when you put in the battery, the deadlink won't show just yet, but if it does just press the download mode buttons even if it shows just holding it for like 15 seconds (enough time for the system to boot download mode) and flash thru odin using a CF kernel.

Slight Issue with 5.901 update

Hey guys, just a quick warning. I read about the 5.5.901 update and how someone said it fried their friend's phone. It's true, I kinda just fried mine but doing the update then doing a data restore. Short of an SBF, I don't think it is possible to repair it. If anyone knows a way to fix it, lemme know.
Have you tried a factory reset?

Try Released Root and boot in fastboot mode (phone off.. hold volume down and power)

Yes indeed my friend, that's when it got stuck in bootloop. Just to be certain, I can't install a custom rom through the stock recovery by placing it on my external SD and using it as an update right lol?
Update worked fine for me

I was able to update with no issues as well.

Is the boot looping the problem? If so is it going into fastboot? Or is it actually getting to the boot animation?
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using XDA App
The bootlooping is the problem. And I can't flash anything through fastboot at all. I try doing the FXZ and it says failed in the first step, I try doing R3l3as3d and it fails, I try manually flshing and it fails too. I don't know what to do.
I'm guessing its saying flash failure, flash the device tree,
fastboot flash devtree device_tree.bin
Also, you can probably boot the phone by holding the volume up and down then power, then hit volume up on normal boot

The only time I've heard of someone that fried their phone is when they had done something they shouldn't have done with 901 update.
It was known at the very early stages that once you've applied the update, to not attempt rolling back or installing a custom rom.
So did the update fry your phone, or did something you did fry it? If you were attempting to restore system data from a previous build, that's probably what caused it.
That being said, have you attempted using the one click script that P3Droid wrote to get everybody back to stock from the cheesecake updates? It supposedly works for recovery on 901 also.
It's available here:

Can't boot past LG Screen.

So I tried rebooting into recovery by holding power and down volume, I thought I remember seeing that the factory reset that showed didn't actually run so I said OK and it wiped the phone. It was stuck on LG screen so I pulled battery. It now won't boot past LG Screen. adb and fastboot don't recognize any devices plugged in...IDK what I can do. Am I bricked? Took it to a Win7 PC to try the LGNPST as per here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1337386 and it doesn't recognize the phone when I plug it into the PC either? Was any way to force fastboot(other than removing the img file which I can't do with no PC-phone bridge access) found?
try to boot into Emergency mode by holding down Up+Power.
at that point, LGNPST should detect your phone and you can restore it with the TOT files.
Then use the test mode fix. Use it as many times as humanly possible until you see the usb icon in the status bar. It can take a few tries, but it works.

I think it has to be on internet connection with USB debugging on for it to register. I would try the emergency mode.

I used the test mode fix after flashing zv9 tot successfully and was able to one click root and install cwm....thank you so much xda and contributers. Thought my phone was as good as a paperweight last night

i managed to make it jvu.. then went to make it jw4
now i can't even enter download mode.. screen stopped working or wtf..
Take out the battery for 1min.
Try removing the battery and then try the 3 button combo to enter download mode. I thing Odin failed because when you tried to install F4 it changed partitions and when you wanted to downgrade to jw4 you did not repartition with 512 pit.
When you enter download mode remember to install the 3 file stock rom with 512 pit and repartition checked.
After installing the stock rom before proceeding with jellybean remember to backup your efs folder ( you can search xda dev how to do that)
I strongly recommend going with Cyanogenmod 10 stable. Its very fast and with the latest semaphore kernel runs like a beast.

removed the battery many times but nothing. i am charging the phone in case it's the battery :/ i closed also odin when i saw it was doing nothing..
i think i did a serious damage on the phone. If it gets fixed i will try cm10.. right now.. nothing :/
I think Odin crashed my phone
because i changed 3-4 custom roms in some hours..
i saw some threads about how to put it back in recovery mode but nothing..
screen is black.. not responding at all : (
I think your battery died in the middle of the flashing process. When you charge the battery does it show the battery indicator charging ?

nothing at all..
Then basically your battery died in the middle of flashing process, you can try with another full battery and try to enter download mode by using the 3 button combo. If it does not it means you have to use a USB jig to access download mode. Once you access download mode remember to have a fully charged battery before flashing

so when the battery dies in the middle of flashing... i can't charge it?
Possibly not, you have to try with a fully charged battery before flashing anyway. I think if you touch the phone while on power and the battery is warm maybe is charging. If there is no sign of life or there is no heat at all maybe is not charging. You still have to try to enter download mode with a fully charged battery, keep trying.

i changed battery with external charger and tried putting it in download mode..
nothing though : /
i don't know what to do
You have to try the dowload mode using an USB jig.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819551
You can't broke this mode by flashing your phone, if an USB Jig don't work, you really have an hardware problem.
my pc makes sounds when i connect the phone.. then the sound that it got dc'ed
i don't think i will find a jig here.. nor i can make one.
i will give it to samsung service center and pay them..
if it gets fixed
1 week and more without a phone lol
Where you're from..? If you're from holland i have a jig for you... if not you can order one from the internet i paid €3,75 for it
GT-I9001 4.1.2 JB by Invendor
same happened to me
i live in India i have the same problem tried repairing my phone but no result.....i gave it to a repairer he tried the riff box repair but nothing happened....and when i am charging the phone it doesn't heats.... if you get something done please update it on this thread, while i'm trying too
i guess i have to find a shop and buy a jig : P
you can order the jig on ebay... i got one for my phone... in continuation of the discussion going on, my phone is bricked as well... nothing is working... neither the 3 combo button or the JIG... also, when i plugin the charger, no indication is showing up... can anyone please suggest what can be done for this?
I checked with Samsung.. they have asked me to get the motherboard replaced and it will cost around 8K...

Motorola Droid Bionic Stuck in Boot Loop

Okay, so I know there are a bunch of threads concerning boot loops, but I just do not know where to go next. So, I was trying to update to Cyanogen mod 10.1 from eclipse gingerbread with clock work mod. The flashing seemed successful, but the phone will only go to the red motorola screen. I cannot seem to find clockwork mod at all with numerous different button combinations. I am able to get into the boot menu and the android system recovery, but flashing any .zip file results in a whole value signature error. Please help me as I can not go long without a phone and thank you in advance. I've tried using Rsd lite 5.6 to flash back to stock, but there was a low battery warning that prevented it. Is there any way to accomplish charging without buying an external battery charger or cable?

Do you have a warranty still? best way to flash roms is through safestrap. That app is almost fool proof.
the only way to be able to reprogram the thing to stock with no battery life left would be to either purchase a motorolla factory cable (or make your own from a spare usb cable) which when used should automatically put your device into factory reprogramming mode.. if im not mistaken this will even work with no battery in there at all. then just RSD lite to FXZ back to stock.
I guess I should have closed this a while ago. The phone is fixed. Sorry for not updating.
