apparantly it only works for Stock 2.2 devices... it works on ur Hero without any problems?

Yup. Running CM6.1 stable on my hero and "installed" it by pushing the apk as "Vending.apk" to /system/app
Just updated a couple of apps using the new market, so I'd say it works (Carrousel thingy is a nice touch)

Thanks for the info! By "push" do you just mean replace? Can i do with root exporer? if so.. what permissions would i need to set. im quite n00b to all this

By push I meant through the adb ("adb push Vending.apk /system/app"), but I suppose you can replace it with Root Explorer as well since you are essentially doing the same thing.
I'm not really sure, but I think you need to mount your system partition to R/W instead of R/O.

It's a cool thing to know

It got installed fine and worked for a while before i installed something. The moment install finished, market started FC ing and couldn't get it working since then ....had to go back to previous version.....anyone else observed this?

hey is there any way i could transfer my contacts from a sense based rom to a AOPS based rom without having to RE-'link' every contact to facebook??? as in.. they would stay linked to their respective facebook accounts when i restore them from the HTC 'People' backed up file.... or any other way to do that??

well, you can --> export contacts to sd, and after, restore them (import contacts from sd)

Can u plz put the cm7 fm radio into a flashable zip?I dont know it it is possible actually, but fm radio is important to me.tnx!

had tried it once... long back though..... it wouldn't keep the 'links to the fb contacts intact....

Is it possible to change the status bar to black?
And change the ridiculous large Wifi icon?

Yeah I like it. But... 2 negative things:
1. Root explorer... Why? ES file explorer is more comfortable and looks much better. Please remove.
2. Notification bar and window... What for an ugly theme? The minimal and grey standard-theme would look much better...

Flashed, it is quite smooth!
I agree with you that it is better than 2.3!
I think Launcher Pro is more suitable for Wildfire
And OI File Manager is better than ES!
But I think you should change the status bar.
btw,It is a good rom, keep it on

Thought I'd try this instead of Cyanogen.
First impressions - very good. Nice & fast (considering the device itself) but took quite a while & 3 reboots to see SD Card. Personally, I prefer LauncherPro over Zeam but good to have an alternative installed as part of the ROM; like the status bar.
Will stick with this for a while and see how it goes.

In the first post you say to check the second page for better appearance or something..

Nice rom, just like the first one. But desperately (for me) needs some appearance adjustement/mods (haven't tried this new appearance (?) yet). Uh, and my statusbar inside is already white , by the way, status_bar_background.png image in this rom not working (as i result we see dark black bacground), i assume it is too big.
PS. IF you want appearance from the first Anonimo's rom and don't want to change anything else, just replace framework-res.apk inside the archive with the older one.

This is the fastest rom I ever seen. : D How did you do that?

If normal installation didn't work out well for you, use the method below.
Procedure to install via Root Explorer Method
1. Download the apk file from the above link to your sd card.
2. Now using Root explorer, go to /system/app
3. Mount the system to r/w.
4. Now search for Vending.apk & rename it to Vending.apk1
5. Copy the file you just downloded to /system/app & rename it to Vending.apk
6. Now press & hold the app and select Permissions
7. Select only the options given below. Now REBOOT & enjoy.....

Alot of nice improvements. This is what 3.x should have always been!

I think you need to replace Vending.apk. First you try to install like a normal application, if it doesn't then replace your Vending.apk (it might install as an update).

I just installed the apk from Dropbox and it worked perfectly.
You shouldn't need to replace in /system/app manually

Is the download link in the OP for a apk file or a zip? I dloaded and it came thru as a zip file. I tried installing thru cwm but the installation aborted. When i explored the file thru astro file I found no apk inside it. How do I install this or am I completely missing something

If it wont d/l on your phone properly install this first and then try again:
Download All Files app

Try this.
the reason that market not working could be the file name ..
and I themed this market pretty different from before..

i tried from my phone and didnt work. tried from pc and copied the apk to phone and then it worked

nice to use, upload fast then old one.

I realize the .apk "download" size changed, but i was referring to the "installed" size. Unopen, the app is around 56-65MB and when open with a few tabs it's around 100MB. (I'm questioning the app itself and it's nature, not so much your compilation, trusselo)

Please use the REAL APP info. not that program...
Menu Button > Settings > Apps > Downloaded > Chrome...
and this is the official new version. install size 16 mb, actual... 48. so i guess its normal

the best browser i used, though it is BETA

Fix for market chrome on all ics devices
there is a quick fix on all ICS roms with chrome. make sure you have a root explorer (root explorer, ES file explorer, ASTRO, etc.). Go into the /system directory and open up the build.prop file. in the third line, it should say:
ro.build.id=(something, usually GINGERBREAD).
delete the (something), and replace it with IML74K, so it should now read
ro.build.id=IML74K
apparently google chrome beta checks for the id, and will not run if the id is not on its ok list. works perfectly fine for me on CM9 build 16 and ICS Fusion.
you can now update the app whenever new releases come out, although the holo-style chrome you posted looks pretty sick.

yea but you cannot update that app through the market, you have to wait for the guy to manually update it. if u want it to stay linked to the market, just use this method

Yes editing the build.prop file can cause other problems with the market as well

This is an Xperia style keyboard theme to mach the MIUI V4, with many languages and fully customized.Flash in recovery,reboot and activate the keyboard from the language and input settings.
Also the zip contains the modified and fully MIUI themed Genie widget themed based on the new Miui Weather widget which is useless outside China. Note that there is no app icon, ONLY WIDGET (which gives you access to the app anyway)
Finally Google Now modified more, now includes more MIUI png’s, . It’s pretty awesome, I must say. Also there is no app icons for google search and voice, ITS ONLY A WIDGET.

GOOGLE NOW is fully MIUI styled and updated to version 2 ( Current one) and includes app icons.

I did said that i FOUND it from MIUI AUSTRALIA and not created it , SO CREDITS WHERE GIVEN.
The google now app is updated by ME to the current one so, i get the facts right i think.
Also the keyboard is not yours, as your have only English if i remember correctly. This have at least 30 languages.
If you have any arguments please dont hesitate to contact me.

I posted the one with all languages on the official English forum. Just credit me (lenny_kano) and its fine. I haven't fixed the new Google Now properly yet (that's right, I ported that too) which is why I wouldn't bother updating to it.

Just realised your on the NS, so ignore what i said about the updated apk. I still haven't got it working properly on ICS, but should be fine for you guys with JB.

the quicksearch apk can't install because of an error when parsing.
And i'm not entirely sure what to do with the files you provided to get google now working.
Could you please explain ?

Remove previously installed quicksearchbox,Put the apk in the system/apps and change the permissions.the reboot.it should be fine now.

hmm weird i still get the normal voice search.
I used root explorer tot replace the apk in the system, named the apk GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk, set the permissions in the same way as the other google system apps and then rebooted.
What am I doing wrong?

Chech if you have velvet.apk installed in system,app.if you have it then remove it.

there's no velvet.apk in the system/app
