There are only a couple of chefs who are cooking for this device.. why dont you just message them and find out? Would be easier.

Razr rom?

Has anyone tried to flash the razr deodexed rom to this phone yet. Are they identical as far as hardware goes? I'm tempted to try it

The razr uses the same processor as the bionic, the OMAP 4430. It also has the same GPU as well.
The CPU on the razr has be overclocked to run at 1.2Ghz.
The galaxy nexus uses the OMAP 4460 which clocks at 1.5GHz and uses a slightly more powerful GPU than that the 4430 uses.
The nexus has been under locked to run at 1.2Ghz.
In short. The razr and bionic have the same processor and gpu, where they differ is at the kernel level.

So different kernal and locked bootloader= not a good idea?

Processor
From what I have read personally, the Razr has the 4460 as well as the Nexus. The Bionic has the 4430. I am pretty sure that is correct.
Sorry, Just an observation.

No, the Razr has a 4430
I heard 4460 as well, but i also dont have one. Id die though if it was another d2g scheme where they repackage a phone with 1 new option and re-release it as "special" if its the same phone only no removable battery. #Phuckthatfone

OMFG The galaxy nexus is the first phone released with 4460.
As for the RAZR...
The motorola site list the processor as 4430.
It was listed as 4460 on their site after the nexus premier but they changed it back and followed it up in the forums by stating they made a typo which was now corrected.
The teardown of the RAZR also reveals A 4430 CHIP.
IT IS NOT A 4460.

I hope this is possible for the Photon 4G, and by the way, the rom can be modified to work with the Bionic.

Looking for a developer.

I would be willing to donate 100$ for a tablet honeycomb or a tablet ui ics port for my bionic

Im not much of a well known Dev. But I know my way around programming and Android. Ill look into this and reply back with what I've found, and if its possible.it should be seeing as they did this to the nexus roms. But I'll check back when I investigate more.

It is really easy to turn an ICS build into tablet mode. If you pick one of the ICS builds out for the bionic that you want to run I will show you how to do it all for the low cost of a thanks.

I like this ics rom. http://www.mediafire.com/?v16w74zbwrx480x thank you so much

This is rather simple to accomplish. The biggest thing you have to do for this to happen is change the screen density. Since the tablet ics ui is fused in with phone roms now.

I set it to 155 and it didn't do anything except make everything small. What else do I do?

Help with my PC?

Hi guys I know this doesn't have anything to do with this website but I kinda need help and I don't know any other site so yeah
I have a 2GB RAM Intel Core Duo 2.93GHz and 2.86GHz Im running Windows 8 Consumer Preview and Mac OS X Lion inside Virtual machine on VMware workstation 8 anywho Im planning on buying extra 4GB of RAM for better proformance and I was wondering can I add extra processor too like Intel Core i5 (dual Core) or another Intel Core Duo.
So guys what do you think I need help and I'm sorry if that was of topic but I need help
And do you have another suggestions for better hardware.
THANK YOU.

Moved to off topic.
You can have only one processor at a time (usually, I've seen freak motherboards that support 2 CPUs), also, you have a C2D which is a different socket than an i5, so even if you buy a new CPU, you would need a new motherboard. Also for the ram, make sure you have enough slots for it, and make sure you get the correct one. If you have no idea what I'm talking about go to a computer repair shop, they'll do everything you want to do.
Thanks, I can add up to 6GB of RAM so yeah I'm covered on that part but do you think I need a newer processor or will the core duo and the 6GB of RAM would be enough to run both OS' smoothly?

Since you arent running them at the same time it should be good. I have 8gb RAM, and C2D CPU and windows & runs good, and W8 uses less resources.
I'm gonna run Mac OS X Lion in virtual machine on VMware Workstation 8 does 2GB or 3GB and a single 2.93GHz core on the virtual machine enough to run it inside VMware smoothly?

Yes, you should be fine, but don't think you wil use it for heavy video processing or something.
No, I'll just be using Mac OS X Lion for some apps and internet browsing. Maybe a movie rarely.
Thank you so much sir you really helped me.

If your considering that, might as well go for either the DNA or razr maxx HD

Go Large like me http://www.samsung.com/global/microsite/galaxynote/note2/spec.html?type=find
Me to and I'm going either RAZR M or DNA depending on my funds when I decide to do it. When it comes down to it, for the price of the RAZR M you can't beat that but if you have the extra dough, to me, the DNA is one of the best devices ever released

Not sure I would go with the DNA, it has no external SD card and only 16GB of internal memory . That makes it to reliant on cloud based storage.

I just upgraded to the RAZR HD. Frankly I didn't like the DNA not having a SD slot, so it was between the S3 and the RAZR HD. Played with my Sister in laws S3 and wasn't too impressed. So far loving my RAZR HD.

I'd love for this to happen, do you know if the kernel source is available for the method used to dual boot? I got an i9100 dual booting with gokhanmorals dual boot, we should start there with sharing the Linux kernel between two ROMs then it would make experimentation on a secondrom Less risky
Once I finish my degree this June I'll be paying our device a lot of attention
P.s. unrelated I'm in the UK but need to find a replacement digitizer for the Xoom min has a hairline crack all the way diagonally through the sscreeen!!!

So if it was implemented like gokhanmorals dual boot method. we wouldnt be able to boot ubuntu aswell right?

In my opinion i think the uboot bootloader would be better,
And on gokhanmorals s2 kernel. He just used the s2's 500mb preload partition as a system. and had a 2gb data partition on the internel sd. and cache. He didnt have 2 different kernels. The same one for both roms.

Safestrap
I saw that Hashcode did a rev of Safestrap for the Xoom2.

Maybe someone could check in that thread to see if he has any plans to bring it to the OG Xoom (Wingray, Stingray, Everest)
