I went to install Factbook from the market yesterday and it just got stuck on "Installing..." so i killed the app and tried again but had the same problem. I tried other apps and they all froze as well. Now i can't seem to install or uninstall any app and all the apps on my sd card refuse to work. If i go into the application manager and select an app, all the fields just sit at "Computing..." I was able to fix it once by clearing the cache in recovery, but now Factbook and the other apps i tried to install after it just sit in the market as Free but not installed. Trying to install any new app will make the installer/uninstaller crap out again. This sd card is brand new and i've had no problems with it until now. Anything I can try to fix it?
Currently running FRF91 not rooted (waiting for Cyanogen 6 to release)
Did you manage to solve your problem? I'm facing the same exact issue right now.
I had this issue since frf85, somehow today it went away. I think Google fixed it on their end.

I just flashed the 5.6.890 to my phone using RSD, I then re-rooted my device using Pete's Motorola Tools and now whenever I try to download/install and uninstall something in the Android Market, the Market crashes. Help?
Try uninstalling the market update and clearing market app data from settings/applications/all

The new market keep force closing...can't even get it to open. I tried clearing data and cache and that didn't help. Uninstalled updates and downloaded an early version of the market and that one tries to open but FC's too. Running Miui 1.8.5. Any ideas on how to fix this. Annoying.
Did you ever get this going? I am having the same issue, tried all I can think of.
I had this problem too one one nook (have access to 2, both on miui). Only solution so far was rolling back using titanium and the renaming market updater with .bak to disable it. If i didn't market would update and fc again.
Strange thing is - the other nook is still fine and is on same market release as the other was when it was force closing.
Hoping for a better solution.
I dont like the new market, its design sucks and it lags terribly..
The solution is easy. Use Titanium Backup to remove the otherwise impossible to remove Market Updater application.
Then go into your System > Applications menu and choose to uninstall updates for Market.
This way you can use the old, properly working market, without worrying bout the OS to redownload the new one.
I hope I was able to help you.

I am having the same problem on the newest miui build that is available. Is anyone stil updating miui?
I just updated to version 3.5.15 of Google Play (Market) and now when I try to update my apps, Blockbuster, Citrix GoTo Meeting and Kindle it says there was an error (941) and it couldn't be updated. Does anyone know what is causing this? Also, prior to updating the market, those apps were not showing as needing an update. Any ideas?
Tried clearing data from the settings?? Worked for me when I updated from 3.3..

I tried clearing data/cache and it is still giving me the same message. I really wish I had made a backup of my previous market, but unfortunately I didn't. Would uninstalling updates work and then it can update on its own?
I came from stock gb rom flashed a stock ics firmware using pc odin. Now i can't install apks anymore using astro file manager or even the stock file manager. The install button doesn't function. Ive already ticked the install from anonymous sources but still no go. What went wrong? Help.
Get on a safe kernel and try wiping cache, dalvik, and data. (Franco, speedmod, or CM9)
Do NOT wipe data on stock ICS!
Is that the only workaround? Im a little bit worried about bricking my device with all the horror stories here.
Downloading and installing apps thru google play works fine. However when i try installing apps using astro, all my downloaded apps won't install, the install button doesn't respond.

I don't know what Astro is....so I'm not sure what else to tell you.

I also have screen filter app installed, did you uninstall yours?
Wow!! Removing the screen filter app did the trick! Thanks a lot man!
Same Problem !!
I had the same problem, now solved after removing the screen filter app.
This is just a guess - maybe the old apks are not compatible with ics maybe they are outdated and would only install on gb.
