I want to change the sounds when volume button is pressed.
I know where these sounds are located, they are in mp3 format.
How to change them? Is there any special thing to do?
When I changed to other sounds, there were no sound at all.

well, i believe that they need to be looped like a .midi file and they should also be the same length.
hope this helps

Hi,
Do you think it's possible to map the vol+/- button to media volume instead of ringer volume when you're on home screen?
thank you
It should automatically switch to media volume when media is playing. What exactly are you trying to do?

Somtimes i want to lower the media volume before starting a game.. wish just using buttons could do it!
It can be a pain...
I use Audio Manager. It's an app, not hardware, but it works...

Another option: I use Volumer++. You can have it live right in the status bar. Volume keys are remapped to MENU and BACK.
Not the answer to your question, but this app is very cool, and you can select the volumes to control. I find it much easier to manage volumes than using Volumer or Audio Manager.

I forgot that audiomnager exist, i will give it a try.
Thank
I too am interested if anyone has found a solution to this. I have no need for my Nook's volume keys to do anything with ringer volume. I would love to be able to remap these for media volume exclusively.

You should use playerpro. The functions are amazing and u have the option (in settings) to press up to change songs and long press for volume.I have mine reversed tho so volume works by pressing up/down and long press to change song. It only takes a second to change songs. Great app. Check it out

My old (HTC) phone used the controls on the headphone cable to move between tracks, instead of change volume.
I have to admit I prefer things that way - so would like to know if there's any way to change the behaviour on my Mini.
Any suggestions (apps, mods to flash, etc) appreciated

Tried holding the buttons?
I had those also on my previous phone (Motorola) and it worked by long pressing those buttons.

Take a look at my thread here, there's a "press volume keys to skip tracks mod" and there's a chance it could also work with your headphones control http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39282702#post39282702

Looks like that works in Doubletwist too - thanks!
In some CyanogenMod-based ROMs, holding volume up or volume down while the screen is off, and music is playing, will skip to the next or previous song. This is very useful if my phone is in my pocket and I want to go to the next song. But right now I'm using CivZ_Multi_Flex (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2219353) which is based on stock, and doesn't have that feature. I'm wondering if there's a way to add it, so it behaves just like in CyanogenMod.
I also asked this not a long ago, got no answer. I don't think it's possible, only with media players that support that function.

I just recently switched from an iPhone 5 to an Sprint HTC One and flashed Cyanogen Mod 10.2 onto it, the headphones work to switch songs but they do not work to turn the volume up or down. I have tried long presses on it, I am using the Apple Earpods, I am willing to switch headphones if some work for volume + and volume -. Also does anyone know any other custom roms besides CM that work with song switching, anyone that has viperrom or any other custom rom that can tell me? I have tried the apps like Headset Controller and JAYS on the stock rom and they did not work as well as CM did, any advice is appreciated thanks!
There's a setting in there somewhere. I forget exactly. On PACROM, it's under lockscreen settings. Check around, you should find it.

I found settings for long press back button and long press home button but not for headset options, and those two options do not increase or decrease volume. Thanks though.
