Hi guys.I see many threads about my question but i cant find any answer to this.I run in my XPERIA X1 a custom 826x rom that have winmo 6.5.3 .All i whant to ask if anyone know is how can i change this default sound of windows? ( see attach pic).This sound is OH MAN i better dont tel.ty in advance guys.
That screen just enable/disable this function.
You'll need to convert the audio files into WAV e put them on \Windows folder (internal memory, not SD!), then go to NOTIFICATION Pannel and change the sounds as u want!

well not exacly this.for example when you turn off the phone there is a system masage that say for unsaved data and something like that.when this masage appears there is a sound.THAT sound whant to change.

I have grown weary of the time-worn 'ring' the sms notification list offers. I need something new and fresh!
1. New and Fresh ==> Got It. got good stuff i used on my mobile in the past, and i want to use it now
2. format : not a problem, i just need to know what's compatible and i can convert it etc.
THE question is where's the directory where i can add new notification sounds to? i mean, for ring-tones everyone knows its windows\rings --> but where's the folder where i can change the sms tone?

Dump the ring tone you want in .wav format in the \Windows folder of your device. Then go to START - settings - sounds - notification tab and use the drop down box to pick the one for SMS.
Did you ever try using the search function here on the board? It works great

heh Remarkably enough I did try it a few times -> it works great indeed
But for some reason i've been terribly lasy the past few days. I'll do that next time again then --> check search<-- Sorry for that mate
if you wana add your own tone for SMS you can copy the .WAV file to \Windows in your device then back to the old way you will find the tone in there

ive got a few good alerts that id like to put there....ie. new email/message that sort of stuff

Congrats On Ur Kaiser Man, First U Need To Convert Them To .wav Files Then Copy Them To Ur Windows Folder And They Will Be In The Notifications In Your Settings. Try It Out
does anybody know how to make your htc fuze make a sound when you slide to open the keyboard and can you set it to which ever sound you want
with my TP I went to keyboard sound and set any theme there, then went to registry and modify in HKLM-> Software -> HTC -> Sliding Sound and modify one of the entries, put the files u wanna use in your windows folder and then match the names to the entries in there

i create XAP Ringtone by " ChevronWP7.RingtoneInstaller " . install xap Ringtone But when change the ringtone for NEW SMS by Advanced Config , in the setting for NEW SMS , show the None !!!

actually same thing happened to me, there isn't anything there, and im also wondering how to make it appear in there. if there is a specific folder we need to add it to or something :/
so in the mean time i just went ahead and did it the other "hard" way went into the windows folder and got my sms ringtone i wanted and renamed it to one of the sms tones i didn't care too much for and replaced it, too bad it basically is the same name and i can't change it to something else.
I think it has something to do with registry values maybe? i don't know but you should try this in the mean time since im not sure of anything else. if anyone else can help it would be apreciated. in the mean time, i hope i helped for now
