Hi all,
One of the things I really liked about the hero roms was the HTC People widget. I was wondering if anyone knew of one that worked on 1.5 machines at all? I've tried the Contact Widget from the marketplace but can't get it to display my contacts at all?
Thanks
i would also like this widget along with the hero messages widget
help us out guys!
People Widgets
I suggest using the AnyCut App to make a widget on your home page with a dialer direct to the contact (like speed dialing, only better).
Does someone has or can post Gmail widget which gives unread email notification on the icon. Tried in market, but every s/w has bugs.
Also i am looking for setting up synchronisinng time set to 15 minutes for Gmail to check for email. But didnt find option to set sync time, plust HTC middle east support is unsupportive.
Lookong forward to positive replies.

You can try Gmail Unread Count, it works well on my DHD, LauncherPro, or Sense (roms tested : stock HTC, Leedroid, Cyanogen RC1).

+1. "Gmail Unread Count" is free in market and works really well. Has loads of customisation options too.
I use GMAIL Popup, does the job for me
HTC stock gmail apps do have unread email notification on the icon.
Thanks GUYs....
just installed it.....
Gmail Label Notifier is also good, if you want to keep an eye on multiple accounts or labels too.

Hey everyone,
I googled around but I cannot find an answer. My boss also has an HTC one since yesterday, and his shows an unread messages number on the email icon on his home screen (default HTC e-mail app). He says it was there from the beginning.
Does anyone have an idea on how to resolve this? I am running stock Android 4.2.2 with Sense 5 (unrooted).

I use Nova Launched with Tesla Unread
Yes that is an option, but I use a lot of HTC widgets which I can't use with Nova right? I also use Blinkfeed a lot. Any other ideas?

You mean this (screenshot below)? It should show the unread count, but if you swipe away the notification in the status bar, the unread count will also go away.
I just can't seem to find a setting or app to have calendar notifications for events that don't disappear after a period of time. I have tried the default huawei calendar, Google calendar and any.do but none of them fulfill the above condition. I need the notification to persist in the status bar until I dismiss it personally.
Did you find a solution or workaround for this? I have this exact same problem!
Anybody?
Try Business Calendar
That's why I use the reminder instead.. the reminder seems to stay until I swipe it away.
I also have the Google Calendar widget on my front screen so I don't miss anything.

Ak I see you mean Google reminders. This is an improvement still not very flexible. All reminders clump together and I can't seem to discard them one by one. Plus if you go into view them they automatically discard themselves.
I still dont understand why Huawei messed around with the original calendar so much - the stock android version is pretty much perfect
For some reason Huawei's calendar took out reminders so I have it inactive and have Google's calendar running instead.
