[Q] Back to Stock Optimus 2x - LG Optimus 2x

I'm currently using MoDaCo's Rom on my LG (which is pretty awesome btw), but my wife used a 5.7 power adapter on my phone last night by mistake to charge it i went out without realizing it and when i came back the phone was very hot but the battery was even hotter, im talking about i burned my hand by touching it.
Anyways i let it rest all night and now im charging it back and it seems that its charging fine but im afraid that perhaps the internal components and the battery may have got its life reduce because of the charger thing and since its a 1 week old phone im planing on returning it for warranty so i can get a new one but i need to restore it first to the factory rom.
I made a backup of the original Rom with CWM before i started switching to any other Roms and now once i restore it the phone boots but it get stuck at the LG loading bar, the only way to get out of it is by getting back into CWM and flash back my MoDaCo's Rom.
Can someone explain me why my factory rom backup is getting stuck and how to fix it pls?

Hello!
I would guess you need to flash back to ext3 script.

Hmm, does MoDaCo use Ext4? cause i was using CM7 previous to MoDaCo and i had to downgrade to Ext3 in order to be able to flash and make MoDaCo work

no, modaco use ext3 cause it refers to stock rom. so you have to back to ext3 or nvflash

oh so even tho im using modaco atm, i should go back to ext3 again before restore my original froyo backuo? cause i forgot my phone came with froyo

Help... never had this prob before!

I've had my G1 over 8 months and always had root. I had CM 4.3.2.1 but it was really slow and I wasn't getting any notifications, other people were so I thought I might be getting the problem because I upgraded from 4.3.2 and 4.3 etc etc instead of wipe and reflash.
So I decided to reformat wipe and reflash.
I flashed the devphone first. Rebooted and when I tried to get into recovery again all I see is a ! in a triangle with a phone next to it. I can boot into my phone fine without root.
I can't access the recovery mode at all.
Any suggestions?
fastboot flash your recovery image again. tada. problem solved. Same thing happened to me. I freaked out until I figured that I didn't lose the ability to flash my recovery back.
Is there a complete clone of the stock 1.6 with just root and Apps2SD added?
After using it for a day this is MUCH MORE faster than Cyan and has better battery life but I need to be able to use some sort of tethering and the app space isn't enough for my liking.

question about kernels?

alright so a while back i flashed a custom kernel im not sure which one it was but in settings under kernel it says "2.6.27GK-0.32 gbhilstovepipe )". now when i flashed it i didnt really know what it was or what it does but it said it would make it faster. i havent noticed any difference and ive been looking around and searching but i cant find much information on the hero kernel. i was just wondering if anyone knows how i can get my kernel back to stock and if you could either explain to me or link me to what a custom kernel does. I know this is probably a dumb question but i was just wondering if anyone can help?
and just one more quick question. i have been trying out several of the new 2.1 roms and love them but cant deal with some of the bugs on them so i went back to gumbo 1.5c. i wiped and did a nandroid restore and everything seemed to be back to perfect but ive noticed that now it keeps acting like how it did when i put 2.1 on by slowing down after a while to the point where its just about unusable and i have to restart it. has anyone experienced this or know why my hero is acting so dumb?
Youll probably just want to reflash your rom again without wiping, should work fine. If not youll have to wipe and reflash to get everything back to normal.

[Q] Help trying to get my phone back and running

Hi guys I recently bought my first android phone (wind's lg optimus x2) 3 days ago and decided to try and updated it to gingerbread, as it was set on froyo when I purchased it. So after long hours of contacting lg, wind and checking a butt-load of forum threads to try and get the new update; I ended it up not having gingerbread, but instead I got a nice little brick. I tried flashing the stock wind rom using the KDZ method and my phone ended up getting stuck on S/W upgrade.
Anyways short brief history aside I ended up doing the clockwork recovery and now I have no idea on what I'm suppose to be doing to get my phone back and running on any custom, or stock rom.
Any help would be extremely appreciated and I'm thankful to anyone who helps me out with this issue, since I really need a phone at the moment
Did you make a backup in clockwork? Can you still get into clockwork? If the phone wont boot then you'll need a little microusb adaptor to put the card on your computer. From there, download Cyanogenmod 7, its GB 2.3.7 at the moment, and faster than the stock rom.
From clockworkmod
Wipe cache partition
Advanced - wipe dalvik cache
Install zip from SD card - SDcard - navigate to downloaded cm7.zip file.

The Optimus 2x Wind is to my knowledge a P999, not a P990. Go to this forum to find compatible roms.
EDIT: Start here to flash a proper ClockworkMod.
So can I just NV flash any rom to my device that is compatible with wind? And if so can I use tmobiles stock gingerbread on it?
Ok Guys I decided to flash my wind phone to t mobile stock gingerbread and its working now So thanks for the replys guys

Why does the phone bootloop from compiled system dump of its self?

Hey guys, n girls
I had my phone up and running sweet. I have been building and testing my next new release of my own ROM and did incrimental changes to it. I took note of these to do them manually again if needs be...but I took a complete system dump of my phone so I could work from that with my base. I took a nandroid backup aswell.
What would make a phone after attempting to flash my own ROM...want to bootloop like it is? I used the kernel cleaning script. I tried adding just the changes I wanted to the base ROM of OneCosmic's.
Nothing will flash? I even went back to my Nandroid backup complete wipe cleared everything and tried to restore my phone from where it was working perfect yesterday and STILL it bootloops? How is that possible?
I am getting seriously pissed off and I almost want to smash the damn thing. Its not the first time this has happened either, nearly every time I go to test I have to incrimentally install from JVT, CM7 to FuguKernel, RC1...kernel again, RC2, RC3 and then RC3.1 before the phone becomes opperational again? There has to be something seriously wrong with this?
I am about to scrap it all and take my phone and get TeamHackSung and put al my mods in to that....maybe that ROM is more stable for mods?

Bricked Bionic

I think I bricked my Bionic and need help :crying:
I was running 905 perfcectly and wanted to upgrade to ICS 230 leak so I did a nandroid with bootstrap.
I followed instructions and everything went perfectly, I had my ICS running very good (with full root and all) but I wanted to go back, since I wasm't productive enough with the new layouts and stuff so I installed Bootstrap and retored my old nandroid backup... BIG MISTAKE. The restore went ok, but when rebooting it stuck in a blank screen (for 30 minutes) until I decided to reboot it. and same thing. From there I can't go ahead. I've tried to glash back to 905 and even ICS (from stock recovery) with the Status 7 error, I started in fastboot and tryied RSDLite to go to stock 902 and failed (Failed flashing process. 1/22 flash mbm "allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin" Phone returned FAILED) and nothing seems to work.
Any helps or ideas are welcomed, I think I might have bricked it bad.....
Trying to restore a Gingerbread nandroid over ICS leak is a bad idea.
Did you get your phone fixed?
If not, PM me and I will get you back on track...I hope.

I know.. newbie mistake!!!
I did something like that my self. I have been flashing stuff since the original droid. I messed up and didnt do a backup in recovery. I ended up flashing back to stock .902 using rsd and doing the whole process again. Good luck hopefully you have it fixed by now.
Try RSDlite again with a fully-charged battery, low battery level has been the major cause of flash failures on the Bionic
Note that you won't be able to charge with a bricked Bionic, you either need a wall charger, ask someone to do it for you, or buy another battery from Verizon.
I'd say get to 100% with a wall charger, then FXZ to 902, then apply the 905 update (via OTA or from SD in stock recovery, root, backup with OTA root keeper, then apply the newest leak (232). You should have a fully working phone, but if you wanna go back to the gingerbread stuff, DO NOT flash the leak. Whatever ROMs you use must be made for whatever stock OS version you have. If it's made for 902 or 905 it won't work after you've updated to ICS. If the ROM is made for 2233 or 230 or 232 and so on, it won't work until you've updated the stock OS to one of those builds, or just an ICS build in general (most likely).
You can go back to 902 from any of the leaks.

I have had only one time bricking my bionic.
I was on a cross country flight and ran my battery down to not be able to flash. I was also unable to charge my phone because I had just deleted everything from stock recovery (my first problem). RSD would not work because I had no charge on my phone, and Nothing I did would charge my phone. I know nobody else that owns a bionic so they could charge my battery.
I went to Verizon and explained some bull**** story of my phone just not turning on and they were willing to send me a refurbished phone. I asked if it was at all possible for them to trade me batteries for my Bionic. He allowed me to trade batteries from the store model and came home flashed .902 with RSD Lite and have had no problems since.
