I've used both, but keep coming back to Andromeda. Both have a semi-stock feel to them, but I've had better GPS luck with Andromeda. PLUS, out of the box, Andromeda has boot animations, WAAAAAYY more ringtones/sounds, and a lot of handy utility apps preinstalled.
I prefer the fact that Andromeda has the 'fixed' TouchWiz; works really nice.
My $.02.
Try out Serendipity if you don't mind trying one besides those two. Definitely the most polished (yes even though I have my own Custom ROM I am recommended Serendipity) and best for a beginner. IMO.

your list is not an accurate comparison. andromeda has 5 locks, removed logs, Da_G's Gps fix, Ad Blocking, modded camera, no phone setup wizard, extended power menu options, HSPA by default anyway. Atrix sounds can easily be found here on the forums. AM/PM toggle, Stay Awake option, and Battery full notification have not been done in Andromeda.
andromeda has multiple keyboards, not just gingerbread.
I think the only real difference is that Cog 4.1 should have the proper drivers for the audience chip, seeing that it's based off the ATT official 2.2. That translates into better sound quality during phone calls. Andro is based off the Armani captivate which apparently doesn't utilize that chip. Andro is great and the one I ran until the ATT dropped 2.2. I had to give it a try. My phone call sound quality seems to be noticeably clearer with ATT 2.2. Once they drop the source, i'm sure the Andro guys will add it in.
Andro also has the Armani wallpapers and ringtones along with a cool intro. A very nice collection of them as well. They are specific to Armani but can be added into the other ROMs as well.

hmm,i saw it,but i wan the original touchwiz
Thx guys for the comments,i think i will go with Andromeda
btw, where to get the full list of Andromeda features? their website doesnt list everything
Try them both out.
I was spoiled by cognition 3.03v my only grip was on certain days at school it was particularly bad about failing to send text.
After it got fried my e71 seems to send them just fine the few days I used it.. only failing to send once or twice. (could also just be a bunch of people might have dropped out last week or two.. it is mid semester).
So I suspect cog 4.1 based on right drivers will be epic.
what r the things that cognition have but andromeda dont? (execpt motorola wallpaper n ringtone)
They are more or less the same.
The real difference is that Andromeda was build from sources and anything that could create problems, lag, was removed before building.
Cognition was "cleaned" after ATT released it.
I liked Cognition for a long time but I got sick of flashing every single day a different version. I see DG stopped releasing so many versions in such a short time frame, i guess because of the Atrix.
Anyway, both of them have the same performance, more or less, i dont know about the gps on Cognition, on Andromeda was pretty good.
If you like real stock, damn, you could even try mine
The biggest difference to me between Cog and i9000 based ROMs is the lack of Voodoo sound because it runs stock kernels, whereas i9000 based ROMS almost always come with a kernel with Voodoo sound.

What is Voodoo sound? I keep hearing about it, but I'm only aware of Voodoo lagfix.
Optimized Shift!
HUGE props to aamikam for MikG (which Optimized Shift is based from)!
Another big thanks to Jermaine151 for pointing out a fix for my dhcp bug!
So, without any further adieu, here it is!
Based on HTC Speedy (Evo Shift 4G) gingerbread RUU, tweaked, modded, and slimmed to provide a clean, smooth, and unique experience like no other. This new version kicks ass, trust me.

Updated Adobe Reader

New SystemUI with on the fly hide recent apps (long press on carrier, long press on a quicksetting goes to the settings menu of that toggle) (i wanna thank ihftp69 for the original works on these kinda options)
New music mode by One_love_420 to skip songs in any music app by long pressing the vol buttons when screen is off (works with htc, pandora, google music, etc.)
Full wipe is always recommended... for those of u that dont want to i will add a patch that will not include market apps or any data apps.
v2.57:
Updated Market (3.2)

Added native screenshot (power and home button takes a screen shot)
Updated Superuser
Patched up all the smali jar files to not track any data (huge thanks to treve for his guide that showed me what i missed in the past)

I recommend switching to this version just because indeed your personal info is more safe and it seems like speed improved on 3g and overall in general due to less actions running in the background.
v2.53:
Updated all market apps (Gmaps, FB, ES, etc.)
Updated busybox to 1.19.2 (smaller and more efficient)
Updated Market to 3.1.5
Updated google's CarHome (u wont see the diff)
Updated Maxthon Browser (direct links to forums should work 100%)
If u guys already patched up to 2.52 u guys are in no rush to flash this... its mostly a version to include a few updates and not really to add features.

Voice search issue should be gone (some had it.. some didnt... i hope all will have it working right now)

Moved ALOT of apps and widgets to data for an easy uninstall (including lockscreen idealscreens)
Decompressed all the m10 files in the rom

Changed default mms limits for sprint and verizon (200k, 2m, 5m)
Updated netflix
Added more mem tweaks (running in boot seq.)
Tweaks in services.odex (speedup rosie, took out some ciq requests)
(for the themers among u... mms.apk has changed from v2.4)

Updated ESfileexplorer
Should have more free ram now... but u guys tell me (my evo is not using the network now... only wifi)
Im sure im forgetting 1 or 2 more tiny things... but nothing major im sure.

Fixed all the tiny issues from the beta version (browser fc, weather bug, mytracks, etc.)

Odex
Cleaned out a lot of junk (not even close to being done though)
Cleaned out the apks from useless files

I loved Opt Shift 2.4, can't wait to try this new one out!
It seems like everytime I say to myself "OKAY, I'm gonna stick to this rom!" another favorite rom of mine gets updated and I want to try it out.
I'm without hope!
I'll check this out later

Suh-weet! Much appreciated Wd, I'll give this a go later tonight.
Wd,
thanks for the update! this rom always runs super smooth on my dinc! downloading now!!
Is there a recent app removal mod for the pulldown. It's kinda redundant since all you gotta do is hold the home button. When I flash landscape mod it uses a lot of room when I'm in landscape. Any info would be helpful, thanks for the sweet update.
Oh yeah, I did also notice, there are still Sprint remnants in the ROM. WiFi stuff and 4G toggle, etc.

Running smooth and fast here! Similar to pure speed v8.5, that's a good thing
i'm having trouble connecting to my wifi network. during setup i couldn't connect so i bypassed and completed setup. after setting up my google account i when to the wireless setup and tried again. i put in my password and it gets an ip address but then immediately drops it and tries again. looking at my router i see it grab an address and then disappear.

+1. Tried reloading the rom even downloaded it again and tried it but still was unable to get an IP address from my router. Tried a second router I have just to see if it was just that router and it wouldn't connect to that one either. Have never had this problem with any other rom including the previous releases of OShift.

I am having the same problem. I superwiped and all that first....have tried twice. WiFi simply will not connect.
Thanks for the work on this though!!!!!
WiFi is probably broken due to using the kernel from the new leak. It seems to cause problems on anything but the stock ROM.

This beast is not for the faint of heart...proceed with caution! Neither I or xda forums are responsible for what you do to your device, so make a backup!
This is skyl1n3, originally made for the d4 by z4ch_skyl1n3. It contains beats, fully functioning inverted gnow, inverted gapps built in (no gapps needed), themed, oc'd, extra gov's and i/o scheduler, and it's fast and good on battery. It is an AOKP based rom. Included now are practically all the mods and tweaks from the original d4 version of this rom. Only difference between the 4 & 5 slot versions is an fps cap which I had to keep on the 4 slot version because it would not boot (tweak can affect stability).
v1.2 ***MUST BE ON SS3 TO INSTALL***
-support for 4 & 5 slot devices
-added camera & gallery 4.2
-added keyboard 4.2
-added CPU sleeper to maximize battery
-added back trebuchet
-added inverted gdrive, google+, google music, twitter
-added new alerts and ringtones
-updated gnow lib
Thanks & Shoutouts:
z4ch_skyl1n3 for creating this rom
sparkyman for helping me out and testing

teamhaters & all devs out there, you know who you are...

To install:
-be on safestrap
-wipe data
-wipe dalvik
-format system in advanced
-install zip
(if updating from beta just wipe cache and dalvik)
Now for the goods....

So some quick feedback, it could use a couple of more ring tones and delivery notification options. It customization is very good, almost overwhelming. The battery life so far seems to be better than the Axiom rom. The data doesn't seem to like bouncing back and forth between 3g and 4G like it does were I live. I am definitely interested to see how this rom grows.

An odd quirk I'm having is with Alarm Clock Plus. I test my alarm and it does the tones and speaks the time like it should, but in the morning when the alarm actually goes off all my phone does is vibrate. I've run the app on other ICS roms with no issues so not sure if it is just a compatibility issue with this rom or an oddity in the audio coding. Other than that, this rom has so many amazing settings choices. I could be tweaking this for so long it will help my crack flashing addiction
EDIT: The no sound issue for alarm only happens when I have the phone on the charging dock. I left it laying on the nightstand last night and the alarm did what it is supposed to this morning. It seems that under Setting > Dock > the audio isn't even able to be selected so that may be where the issue lies.
Also, now that I have ditched my D3 in favor of my Bionic, these are some other things I have found.
Seems to be some glitching in the screen rotation (ie. shrinks and then pops back when rotating.)
I have lost the phone function screen when on calls (ie. all I see is the notification bar)
Other than that, everything else is wonderful. Compared to the ICS issues I had on the D3, i'm loving having the bluetooth working clearly and camera function.
Thank you for porting this and for the original dev who put it together. Can't wait to see what you throw our way post Beta
EDIT: I'm starting feel like I'm the only one running this So, I've also found the Torch does not function, both in the notification icons and the power menu. I am also getting a battery drop abruptly from around 40 that goes down to 20. I have done a battery stat wipe and the run down and charge up, that's the only fix I can remember from my D1 days.
I've tried every time for the Bionic, and and this is by far the best rom. The only issue is the gallery forecloses when you try to crop a pic. Camera, camcorder, and panoramic works. I decided to replace this cam (4.2) with the stock (4.0) ICS camera and gallery. This rom is very stable, and fast. A lot of customizations with this rom. When I have more then 3 issues with a rom, I don't use it anymore. This rom, the only issue was the gallery.

I'm using it to. You're not the only one.. Lol. torch works for me, but I'm using the stock ICS camera and gallery. It didn't work for me when I was using the 4.2 camera. There's a setting for the battery 1% mod. I have a extended battery, which all rooms misread anyway. That's why it drops like that. Use the battery circle mod, it reads it better.

Thanks Furious, I'll check out the battery mod. I'm downloading the update now and see how the 4.2 camera/gallery behave for me.

I'm going to try this rom and I'll report back what I find.
*Edit* Ok, Rom installed and working fantastic. I was able to get wifi tether to work however, without encryption. Also, if you turn on and off wifi tether in numerous succession my phone crashed. I'm also experiencing a huge battery drop from 58% to 47% within 10 minutes after initial install of the rom. That's ok, I use the phone alot on wifi and lte. Thank you for this rom
I accidently posted this in the general thread instead of the Q/A thread. Can't seem to move it there. My sincere apologies.
I am trying to get Stunner 2, specificly pie controls and performance control, to fully work on my note.
Symptoms (on both 2.3.3 and 2.3.11):
- Pie control turned on but not showing. Tried about all combinations of pie control settings to get it to work.
- Performance control shows slider handles fixed to the far left, and cannot be moved.
- Superuser access notifications seem to be off at times (ie. showing 'Superuser granted to Theme Chooser' when i toggle Pie controls)
These symptoms occur directly after flashing the ROM and initial setup (no settings changed, no apps installed). I have also tried it while having extended desktop turned on as some suggested and tried multiple dpi settings.
I have tried to reflash the ROM multiple times, following instructions to the letter (this is my first post here but i'm a frequent visitor and have flashed probably over 50 ROMs on my note in the past). So full wipe, dalvik cache wipe, /system format etc.
Have been searching for a solution for hours now, have scanned the entire development thread, forum search, google, you name it... to no avail.
I loved stunner v1 back then and the vids showing off the pie controls make me Want it!
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
1) Pie control turned on but not showing. Tried about all combinations of pie control settings to get it to work.
2) Performance control shows slider handles fixed to the far left, and cannot be moved.
3) Superuser access notifications seem to be off at times (ie. showing 'Superuser granted to Theme Chooser' when i toggle Pie controls)
Answering you:
1) Did you try to slide your finger from out of the screen to the inside? Because i never had a single issue with Pie
2) doing some reading before posting and using search would help a lot, this is a known issue...
3) Install SuperSU? It has more features and it is more stable!

I have the same problem.
I must admit, it never crossed my mind to try PIE as I've never used it before and I was busy getting used to AOKP/CM10.1 having moved from TW JB.
Thought I would try it as you mentioned the problem and I can't get it to work either.
I am running on 240DPI, don't know if the DPI has anything to do with PIE functioning correctly.
I did think of looking for the app and wiping data and cache, but I can't find anything that looks like it is PIE.
Not the end of the world for me as I didn't intend to use it in the first place, but would be interesting to see how it works.

Looks like it might be DPI related.
I am running on 240DPI, and this I haven't changed.
The default PIE settings didn't work for me, so I changed them to the following:
Trigger Size - Big (This is what makes it work!!)
Pie Gravity - Right (shouldn't matter, but I wanted it on the right)
Pie Size - Large (Gigantic is too big for comfortable one handed operation, with Small the info text is too small for me)
Pie Style - Default (default)
Pie Gap - Huge (default)
The other settings are personal preferences.
All working fine for me now.
EDIT: I have changed the Trigger Size from Huge to Big, as I had some problems with the trigger area overlapping with my on-screen keyboard, so bizarrely I couldn't press the P key on the keyboard. Setting the Trigger Size to Big has resolved this.
Had this problem too and was very frustrated with it. But thanks - changing trigger size to BIG makes it work!
Thanks lots!
Hi,
I have just got EMUI 9 and installed nova prime. Everything is ALMOST fine.
The recent page is problematic :
1. Sometimes there's this blue hue in recents
2. Tapping on neighbouring apps edge causes the recents to close to home screen
Am I the only one with problems like these? Default huawei launcher works without such problems (sadly no hide apps or folder creation in the drawer)

Yeah I have these behaviours.
I guessed the blue tint is by design, a crappy design. Not sure if it's a bug but it doesn't look good imo. Also have the same issue with the recents on Nova. Annoying you have to line up the app you want centrally otherwise it just closes.
Despite these I'm loving my phone more than ever now. It's absolutely flying after resetting and doing a deep debloat. Am keeping performance mode on constantly now too as battery is fine still.
If you're interested I followed this guide..

Thanks for tips.
Yeah, these are bugs. I've just tried hyperion launcher with exact results. Guess it's EMUI 9...
its a "overlay" bug, temporarily stop the huawei launcher helps

I noticed the same for #1 but have not experienced #2 yet.
