How to Nandroid backup ICS without CWM?

Now since it has been recommended not to use CWM on ICS anymore, what are the possible ways to do Nandroid backups / restore? Especially for rooted stock versions.

Chainfire invented that nandroid i dont think there is a program beside CWM.
Its impossible to Nandroid without CWM.
Not all CWM's are dangerous, IF you want to be uber safe, Flash NoteCore kernel its a safe kernel with safe CWM included.

Are you trying with cwm flashable .zip file for Notecore?
I hate it when that happens
But i usually try and clear all caches, and try again... And then i try to install what ever was on the phone, before the problem arose...

I am tqlking about nandroid backup in CWM. For titanium backup you have to buy the pro version.

For a nandroid backup you have to boot into recovery(CWM) and under backup and restore you can backup the rom as well as applications on your external SDCard.
There is no need to use Titanium if you are using CWM.
However if you don't know how to backup with CWM and your device is rooted then you can use Titanium Backup Pro to take backup of System+Apps Data.
got it and now have done with backup now what next and i have speed mod kernel will its go with king droid rom

It's good that you have backup now, but why don't you download stock firmware as backup of ROM and use titanium backup for backup of apps? And yes, you can flash Kingdroid rom with Speedmode, it will be then replaced by the kernel you will choose in Aroma while flashing kingdroid.

Can't backup Stock ROM with clockworkmod recovery...?

So please keep in mind that i'm a total noob about this kind of thing.
So my phone is already rooted, and I have clockwork recovery installed and I was trying to backup my stock ROM, but it won't back up.
So I seen over the internet that I could backup from my recovery mode, but there is no option.
Is there anything I am missing?
Can anyone tell me please?
I heard about something called ODIN, but I have no idea what it is or what to install it.

When you go in recovery there is an option to back up the rom.. are you sure you are on CWM recovery?
Anyways if you are rooted, you can install app called Rom Manager and it has the option to take backup.. take a nandroid backup through the app and you are done..
ODIN is used to flash a rom to your phone and that will wipe everything you have on your phone (except that on internal and external sd card)

[Q] How to get back to Stock rom ace HELP please

Hai guys
I've rooted my ace, and I've installed cyanogenmod 9 rc2 from maclaw studio's. But I want to go back to the stockrom. I've made a backup before (by clockwork mod), so my question is, can I restore it and use my original rom (android 2.3.5). I haven't tried it before. Should I do something else before. Need I Odin. Plz help.
Hi pal!
You could restore your previous nandroidbackup from the recovery without any problem.

You can restore, but if you have bootloop after restoring just wipe both caches

You're welcome.
Good luck!
But my phone isn't rooted any more. (After the update, I don't know why). Must my phone be rooted before the restore, or isn't it necessary.
I think you need CWM recovery; and so, yes, you need root before.
Anyway, before doing anything you may do another nandroid backup of your new firmware..
Good luck

R: [Q] How to get back to Stock rom ace HELP please
Root is not needed in order to use the CWM correctly. If you restore your backup successfully and everything works you're ok I few time ago I installed CM 7.2 on my Ace with CWM without pre-rooted rom on.

Hi, have u tried to flash the official firmware by Odin?
It's Very Easy my friend
Simple Bro , Download the firmware files from sammobile.com then Google for Galaxy Ace Odin ..I guess the version is 4.38 or something like that ..and make sure you download the cooper file with it then flash the original firmware using Odin.So then your phone is back to how it was when you bought it..now flash CWM Recovery again and then restore your back up.
I hope this was helpful.
If you want the instructions on how to do this ..let me know ..I'll give you think link for the files also

Should I install the same root file by clockworkmod, or another file, because it's the second time. I have already superuser on my phone, but it don't give privileges at my apps. It's very strange. Thanks for your help.

Hi Tob1234!
The rooting method depends on phone's firmware (and android version), search for yours.
If one method doesn´t work for you, you could try another, eventually you'll get it.
You also could install from recovery -CWM- (acording to the OP's instructions) any stock ROM from the threads thus, as you know, they are already rooted.
BTW, I'm on a sotck one: NaTHaN's ROM with Space Kernel and, for me, all goes like a charm.
Good luck!

My phone's firmware is maclaw studios rc 2 (sept. 2012). My version is android 4.0.4. Need I a root file from android 4.0.4 to go back to the default rom? I only want to go back to android 2.3.5. When I restore my backup, is my firmware than the same like before, or not.

Hi, thanks for the link. But when I restore my backup, made with my old rom, I would be back to that rom, or not. That sounds easier. And, if I need Odin, is it possible that I can use it, because I've read on a site that you can't use Odin when you have used clockworkmod.

Hi Tob1234!, when you restore your backup, made with your old rom, you go back to that rom as it was when you did that backup (apps, settings and all).
You don't need Odin for doing that, just use CWM recovery if you want to restore your old backup made with CWM.
You can use Odin, but with other special files, NOT with nandroid backups.
To have CWM or not doesn't matter for using Odin.
BTW, all this stuff is in the links.
Good luck, Tob!

If you want to revert back to stock from cm11.you have to flash the stock ROM through Odin then root it then flash cocore kernel and restore nandroid backup.
If not want to go through PC then
First flash custom ROM 4.3 make all wipes and format then flash cm 10.1 with all wipes and format (especially /preload partition) flash cocore again wipe all then restore nandroid backup.

Why would somebody give you this backup considering that it contains data, settings and personal information?
As I see in your signature you have a totally different phone model than Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070, can you be more specific with what you need?

There is no "best rom".
I told you to install Samsung USB drivers, not Kies. Sometimes Kies is making you a problem when you are in Download mode. Turn it off on PC, remove it in Task manager too.
