[Q] Greenish tint on the lowest brightness setting - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just wondering if this is normal? The lower the brightness setting, the stronger the tint. At the lowest setting, it's extremely noticeable.
I'm currently on the latest rocket rom.

Anybody? I'd like to know if should exchange my note?

I wonder if it's caused by the PenTile display, which favors green pixels?
See this image for some close-ups of displays including the GN:

PenTile displays have a different subpixel setup compared to normal RGB. It's RgBg.
It can be the cause of a greenish hue in some circumstances.

if you have that backround saved as a pic, go to pictures, select it>set as backround. it'll open a screen where you can set the opacity.

Change Settings Backgroud Color ???

since HTC One uses LCD display, there is NO need to have Black backgrounds,
Black - only works with LED displays like Galaxy phones (it saves battery)
so is ther any MOD to change the Color of the background to white or grey ?

Anybody else have that problem? Will it get worse?
Yup
My note 8 is on its way to Samsung's Repair center to get that "fixed"... it's a somewhat common issue for my understanding.

Banding noise on photos

Hello,
do you also have vertical / horizontal stripes in the dark areas of the pictures? E.g.
(Pictures are cropped)
Picture from GSMArena:

My photos:
I used the stock camera app. I tried Google Camera, but the stripes are even more visible. I am very disappointed with the quality of the pictures. If I knew before, I wouldn`t buy this smartphone.
Same problem here. And yes, Gcam makes it worse.
