Hi, i am facing a weird problem while unlocking Galaxy Note. The display is not responding properly to unlock. I don't know whether this problem is only with my N7000 or the others too have. if you have any solution please let me know. Thanx in advance.

Its a Stock ROM. 2.3.6. Some times it happens while Opening any of the app. if i touch an app it response at all. i need to press twice or more time to open. it happens only sometimes. and Thanks for quick response

that's a scary glitch. Unplug the batteries and reboot your phone, reply here if you still have this issue.

Yep... That works. as u said removed battery n inserted back. everything s fine now.. Perfect.

i have gt p1000 n my problems now touch screen not working sometimes.. but after i turn it off n on again,its work.. but after 5mnt it cant work again..

Man, I have the same strange issue!! did you find a solution?
In my case, I have to restart many times until it start to work again... very odd!!
I tried to check for dust around the screen but it is all clean, no falls, no hits on any part of the p1000 body...

Touch screen works fine for some time after every boot, but after 2-3 minutes it stops responding, so I guess touch screen is not faulty it must have to do something with software or maybe digitizer problem

After so many user having this problem , any updates for the fix ?
In my tablet the motherboard was damaged, i supossed the problem it was the touchscreen but it's ok.
Same problem-replaced the digitiser but still.....

Well,how did you get it fixed or you just condemned it ?I had the same problem and thought it was due to digitiser and had it replaced -but no avial same problem...so do I have to discard mine ? any solution please?
(PS:The whole problem started after I rooted and installed CM 10.1 with which it worked fine for a month-and then it started-went back to stock rooted unrooted multiple time and now replace the d'er too...I am now clueless)

Hello Xda members , i have just upgraded my galaxy note from gingerbread to official ICS thru samsung kies , everything went smoothly after upgraded , but my note's screen keeps lighting up and dim for no reason on lock mode , sometimes it continues for several minutes then goes off ,sometimes its like a rotating cycle , it would come back after each 30 minutes...there is no background apps running . i have no such problem using the gingerbread..please help...

I have the same problem, although i didn't upgrade to ICS and still running the original Gingerbread as bought.
I wish someone has a solution for this problem .

If your running in gingerbread it will not brick your phone. Im directing this answer to you when you said that you are still in gingerbread. If your on ics yes it will. Im sorry i have to be spicific next time.

I performed a factory reset, and everything is ok now (ok for 24 hours till now).
Although I didn't know what was the reason, But I'm happy that my Note is doing good.

Im glad to help you. Thank you also.
this problem is called kernel wake lock.. you must downgrade to gb, do a full wipe then install a fresh ics via kies or odin, after booting up in ics go into your recovery mode holding volume up + home button + power key and clear your cache 4 time in a row this will solve your issue and maybe increase your battery life if you having any problem on ics related to battery backup

yesterday i cooked a ROM with dsixda's Android Kitchen.I also checked the updateR-script file to prevent any damage.
but the problem is :
ROM was flashed successfully and every single function worked. I just turned my phone off and it doesn't boot any more.
Any suggestions?

Can you get into Download/Recovery Mode? and what is it doing? Just black or showing the bootanimation? And btw you should have posted that in the q&a thread!

You don't have flashed any kernel that's not for the i9001 right? If you have done that it's hard bricked. if not it's rescue-able

1.I haven't flashed any incorrect kernel
2.I can't boot the phone anyway.

just after flashing my cooked ROM I shut the device down and thats all!

unfortunately there's no SSC here so I could fix it but battery seems a bit...................weird
maybe it's dead.

The first advice I can give to you is to take the battery out for overnight then put it back in.

Did you install some ROM or kernel? If it is stock, go to service if you have warranty.

Do factory reset from recovery. Power on phone by holding HOME+VOL.UP+POWER buttons, and look for factory reset there. But that will wipa all your data and apps (will not touch internal or external sd, just instaled apps, contacts etc). That could help if it is not hardware problem.
Install a JB custom rom, much better

My friends blocked my lock screen and i unfortunately dont remember password to my google account. Recovery not work. Even if i flash lot of things. I have now 4th firmware in my phone with no result . Lockscreen still on.
Is there any solution? Or i have to take my phone under shower? I am working on it for 3 days now.
