sorry, but you are asking in the wrong forum. this forum is for the original Samsung Galaxy Tab (7 Inch), perhaps you would have better luck looking in this forum:

I've tried almost anything I've found on the net... also this one... and it is not working...
I've flashed various ROMs but nothing... Even so, I tried with CM10 and still it is locked... On S3 you are playing with nv.bin and efs to make it work... On S3 mini it doesn't work like that...
Any other idea...?
Thanks man!
Installing Rom's won't get your phone sim unlocked, it's still a new phone so wait a while yet I bet someone has got it unlocked somewhere. That's why I always buy sim free phones got a option to use any sim anywhere.

Then, looking for more info i found this article:

it claims that its from this forum.....something is just not right or is it really possible to do that?

Even if the rom is legit, you can't install CWM with a locked bootloader so I'd say no.....
Hey everyone,
I'm wondering if the SM-G800A version from AT&T can be rooted? I see chainfire lists several versions but not this one and I don't know if this version has been proven to be compatible with some of the others. Any info would be appreciated.

I didn't know towelroot. Have you used it before even on another model? I've been out of xda for a while so it seems this is new.

Actually, I've never used it on my S5 mini. Maybe a year ago, I've used it on my S4.

Look in the S8 forum for ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, ..... There is a thread that will tell you how to root your phone. It is not a simple method, but it is all that we have. https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...root-g955u-g955u1-snapdragon-sampwnd-t3658911
Edit - I linked you to the wrong thread which is for the S8+. Use the similar one for the S8. Sorry about that.
hi everyone,

No root method as the US models have locked bootloaders. Been like this since the S7 came out.

Yes all US Note 9's have locked bootloaders. If you want one with an unlocked bootlader then buy the international Snapdragon model which has a unlocked bootloader.
