Hi there!
I've just got to use alfs + ginger DX and now the volume buttons aren't working anymore with PowerAMP Music Player as they used to do when I was using FroyoBread... If I hold them, they start the Music app with another music and it does not change the current music playing on PowerAMP!
I uninstalled the music apk right now but it's not working with PowerAMP yet... what should I do?
Thanks in advance!
Clear cache and data from ur power amp, setting in cyanogen, reboot and clear dalvik-cache on cwm
Thanks for the quick answer! But there is something I didn't understand: what do you mean by "setting in cyanogen"?
I should:
- Clear cache and data from my PowerAMP
- Set volume buttons option off and on in Cyanogen
- Reboot in CWM to clear dalvik cache
Then it will work? Is that right?
Setting in cyanogen is mean by going to setting > cyanogenmod setting > input and enable/disable the volume music button control and reboot everytime you change it until you can change the song
It worked! Thanks, pal!
Welcome~ feel free to explore on this forum =D

have you tried clearing the cache to the cyanogenmod settings app?
go to main settings, application, manage applications, press all, find the cyanogenmod settings app and press on it, press the clear data/clear cache options. that should help you out(probably)

you would have checked but still.. have you checked the volume settings for your phone..
if they are fine then you should reflash the rom ..
RE:
Yes volume settings are as they should be did another flash of the rom still no sound

try some another kernel maybe
if this one supports voodoo sound, you can install voodoo control app and check if there is something amiss there...
try going back to stock and check there also check if you flashed the rom correctly...
First, I'm not a developer.
Second, I'm sick and tired of manually clearing the Media Storage app data.
Someone should make a script or something which would run when Android is shutting down and it would clear the Media Storage data. I don't think that's a problem to make, and it would be very useful. It should be a flashable .zip.
It would be a good temporary solution until a definitive one isn't found.
Who's with me?
PS: I want to be mentioned in the credits as the ideator, if not a problem. xD
EDIT: Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section.
We're all with you
I think cm9 is the only rom that fixes this problem.
It's a nice idea though

No, I want to wipe the Media Storage application's data. I want to do that in order to fix the music player. Sometimes it doesn't want to play the tracks on the external SD card. Then I have to wipe the app's data and reboot. Why shouldn't the phone do it automatically?

Could this feature be ported?
Me too have the same Media Storage problem with External SD but I fixed it using Rescan SD application from Play Store It's free and It's working like charm also you might need to use Rescan Media Root app first just in case.
Regards
I solved the problem by unmounting and mounting the External SD Card

I really don't know as I'm not developer maybe copying/pasting MediaProvider.apk from cm9 rom into /system/app helps. If not you could ask pawitp for help
Hah. This tread was soon forgotten. It was nice with you guys!
problems with media
I am starting to have some issues with my sounds... ringtones, notifications and alarms... I just don't seem to be able to correctly pick them, neither with Android System or Sound Picker. whenever I selected a sound (make it ringtone, alarm or notification) through sound picker, it would play a default sound, and whenever I selected it with Android system, it would just make no sound at all.
Also, selecting on "Music Library" does nothing. Anyone seeing this?...
clearing data for media_storage didn't work even with reboot. "Scan Media" worked for me, but only after a reboot.
@op please look before posting
Wrong Thread, sorry!
where is the lockscreen file of a rom?and whats its name?

Hi
I was looking at this and since the site had the O2x pic on it I was wondering if this would work on our ICS leak?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2002367
I know someone posted that the Version 4.0 doesn't work and makes it not boot on one of Stephan's thread before, but has anyone tried the new one? version 5?
Going to test it and will update this post...
Yes, it works! Flashed AC!D Audio Engine v5.0 Universal Edition and Walkman addon and it works perfectly
Hows the sound? Does it work with all the apps?

Well, it does work very well with pretty much any audio player...still I haven't noticed any difference in app or games. The speaker is much louder and the headphone quality is great. I'd recommend you try it.

Sound enchantments
Do the sound enchantments in walkman player work? I am running pacman ROM, and they don't seem to work :/ Otherwise the music is soooo good and loud :victory:
I tried it on Topogigi's Rom with SP2 custom kernal, and for some reason right after I installed the zip with CWM i lost music playing abillities, had to restore... I wonder if there's a problem with my phone and the files...
could someone who got it working post how they installed it so I can try?...
What I did was:
reboot to CWN 5.0.2.8e
wipe cache
wipe dalvik cache
install universal drivers
install walkman
reboot
when I open N7, walkman, or google play music, all the music doesn't play and or say file is not recognized... or if I do have sound it is like playing super slowly, almost like super slow motion playing... so anyone who got it working any ideas? Thanks in advance for any inputs

After installing Walkman, I also wiped dalvik cache again. Otherwise I did the exact steps. Regarding the Play Music problem, I also had this problem but I wasn't using AC!D so it's not because of it. I think I deleted the app's data(cache) and even reinstalled the app once.

But people... Please... All that sound mods pure lies.
You can achieve better quality and cleared sound buy using no mods or at most an equalizer app.
And good headphones. Maybe this mods help crappyheadphones but believe me, your u won't want to hear with this damn mods n good quality headphones.

Open build.prop
Do you see the #resampling text at the bottom?
Just remove af.resampler.quality=255
Leave persist.af.resampler.quality=255
Add below persist.af.resample=48000
Hi,
with latest Xperia Z update (10.3.1.A.0.244) i can't disable CRT off (i remove the flag but the effect remains) and volume skip tracks doesn't work anymore.
Is there a fix? Is there an alternative to the volume skip track feature?
thanks
Did you reboot your phone?
Sent from my Xperia Z using XDA premium.
Of course, but the problerm is still here. CRT OFF issue was also with the previous firmware, but volume skip track wasn't in the previous firmware.
CRT off works well for me on the prev firmware .
Would like to know if volume skip isn't working. I use this feature, and would miss it. I'm still on the fence to upgrade or not.

I'm on 10.3.1.A.0.244, and use this module for CRT off effect:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2294419
But it doesn't have the volume skip function.
Any of the other features of that module not working? Using that for notification background image and network names.
Could you also test volume skip? From another module. Xposed tweakbox I think it's called.

Ok, reflashed stock rom (10.3.1.A.0.244), volume skip tracks works well with walkman (not tested other players) but i can confirm that i can't disable CRT Off effect.
