I'd say the FTF file you downloaded is corrupted.
Delete the file and download again.

have you put the .FTF files under C:/FlashTool/firmwares? (path for default installation)

Huh?
When you click the "Flash" button Flashtool (0.6.7.0):
- Select "Flashmode"
- Click "OK"
The following window should look like this (screenshot of Flashtool 0.6.7.0 on Linux)
Just select the FTF from the list on the left.
delete all files in C:\Flashtool\firmwares
and then copy the .ftf file
it should be working. If it's not work try to download the last version of flashtool
click thanks if it work..
follow this tutorial ...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sb9e99VT3Os ............press thanx .

[Q] Flashing on CWM.

I've been trying to flash a kernel and a modem for a long time now. And it's always been giving me errors.
My modem is XXBMD5, I'm trying to flash it to XXBMG3
For the modem it says:-
Installing: /sdcard/(modem name).zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
Installation aborted .
For the kernel (boeffla) i get the status (7) error.
I really need some help , Gonna flash a ROM after flashing the modem and kernel too.

Oh I got it all mixed up! What I was trying to flash was the firmware, not the modem. But there isn't any XXBMG3 modem for download now. Sorry for the mixing up! But I need help with the kernel now.
Post does not make any sense .
Flash a modem and flash a kernel then wipe the modem and kernel by flashing a rom .
Hi,
May you give download link for XXBMG3?
Thx before.

Unknown CWM installation problem.

Hi, when I try to install CWM on my rooted Xperia SP, once the command prompt displays "daemon started successfully" nothing else seems to happen.
Is there anyway to try to figure what might be going wrong?
Thanks for the help

I will read through thoroughly the thread posted above and try everything suggested. I just want to mention that I was using flashtool.
One thing I'm unclear about, so of the zip have an 'i" for install or an 'f' for flash. The one I've been trying to flash has an 'i'. Was I using the wrong one?

Bro.. You can't flash a zip through Flashtool... the recovery should be in the extension of a ".img" or ".elf" or ".sin" file...
open the ZIP file and you should see a boot.img or kernel.elf file.... just extract it and flash via flashtool...
Flash it in Fastboot mode..
try it... and tell... Hit thanks if it helped... :good:

Yeah I know to extract it first, but should I be using the file that has an I (install) or F (flash)? Because I downloaded the 'I' file.
