[Q] Galaxy tab nighmare :s

Hi guys.
I kinda mad a big mistake. I have a galaxy tab p1000 and mistakenly flashed a firmware which belongs to p1010. Yeah silly!!!!!! The flash was successful but it totally killed the tab. It will not boot at all no power whatsoever. I left it in the charger for like two hours nothing
is there hope?? Or did that firmware do damage to the tab?? Can i repair it myself or does it need to go to be revived at samsung. Or i hung myself???
Help please.

Have you tried booting into download mode? Once you do, flash it back to stock. You can find stock ware in the dev section. Doubt its truly bricked.

Yeah i have tried the two button combo. Power button and volume down but i get no response. I duno wsup. I cant get power on the damn thing??? Cant get into download mode : s

Try what was done in this post...it seems that even though the screen was blank, he was actually in download mode, and able to flash.

Yeah i have read the post and tried but my tab is not coming on at all. It isnt recognized in odin. Just lying there like a brick. If i can get it going somehow????

Just curious...
If you just bricked your tab, why does your Signature show that you're using a GT-P1000 to post?

Well i am lucky to have 2 tabs and galaxy s. Imma a samsung fanboy/man. And it pains me to know i might have bricked one tab. If u will be so kind n give me a solution??

Thinking that your battery has been ran out.
Just left it to charge for 4-5 hours and try again.
Bricking the device isn't such easy. I made unbelieveble things with my tabs but got it to work again. But I also stucked to that battery thing.

Did you flash the bootloader as well? If you did and the bootloader goes out to lunch, then the Oden/Heimdall tools won't be of much use. In such a case you might be able to find some instruction on how to use a JTAG module to fix the tab. Though, taking the device apart is probably not a trivial thing.

I flashed the tab with firmware from the p1010 tab and mines p1000. So im assuming it erased everything. How much can a service repair cost??Cause if there is no option apart from jtag. I have to to send it in!!!!!
As i cant get any response whatsoever. Left it overnight charging, plugged it into the comp restarting stuff. Tried tricking it by plugging galaxy s and tab at the same time. But nothing.?????

Hey, the i9000 is the most requested device for the UnBrickable Mod. I need one to remove the processor and perform the initial research. If you've got a busted device in the drawer, I could make use of it. It would help the community...

Start playing with bootloaders a bit and if you then don't end up with a dead humingbird then report here! Flashing roms cant brick your sgs! In 99% cases!

Its on the front page of XDA right now. Its a hardware mod that lets you recover using only software from that point forward.

I have the i9000m but collecting dust until i decided to play around a bit..i have followed vibrant mod way... i had it totally bricked prior..(i9000m) it looks similar same as the vibrant. Anyways. it keeps shutting off after flash and doesnt come back on..(My Defn of bricked.. black screen, no response when power button pushed.. back heats up when connected, no lights no sound no nothing), but i did the mod according to "looks" and what i got was a surprise..lol. it went into dl mode.., after a short lived hurray.. and all of sunday.. trying various combinations. to flash it.. everytime i flashed it rebooted (purposeelyy), and it never turned back on,

im thinking of sending it to you, the thing with the 3rd chip(you did say that it wasnt needed...ehehe lets say my fingers slipped and i never really found where that tiny little part went......maybe the soldering iron ate it..but if there is a fix.. hey.. i wouldnt mind but.. at least i have a better looking paperweight...ill give it a few more days then its off to you

G1 highest official update help...

Hello...well my daughter has a g1 that I bought her second hand and she does not have a data plan, but that's not the problem...she has done something to her phone..idk what...but it has reverted back to factory 1.6...since she doesn't have a data plan I can't get past the Google sign in page because 1.6 doesn't give you the option to connect to wifi first. And if I hit the menu button it says wireless settings but there is no option foe wifi...so we are stuck... I just wanted to know if someone could post an ruu 2.1 or whatever for the g1 so I can connect to wifi first to get her phone running. Yes it would probably be easier to buy a new one, but she really likes that phone and wants to keep it...and she's my baby so I'm trying to fix it...lol....help please...any help would be appreciated...thank you...

I'm not sure what will work for you since you didn't give much info beside the fact that you don't know what happened to the G1.
Try some of these roms. You might have to flash them sequentially to get to a stock donut. Look for the signed-kila roms... there are three that will take you to a stock donut.

I suppose you could flash back to rc29, sign in, flash the cupcake OTA, then the other two updates and have a donut.
If you are rooted, there is a shortcut...

Your daugther did the factory reset, that was what happens. The easiest way is to see if any of your friend, or her friends has a T-Mobile Plan with a data plan and borrow their SIM chip. Register the phone and you are done.
Another way is to get your daugther a data access from T-Mobile for a day use. And then register the phone.

Between 4PM to 8PM (time of the first and second post), I wasn't even on the internet, I was running around doing stuff. LOL! Sometime waiting for answer is just a pain. You'll have to wait sometime... Even when I have problem and post the question here, I sometime waited for a day or two.

Agreed- if it's just a factory reset, then borrowing a sim card would be easiest.

[Q] 3 or 4g on from tmobile

I have a US lg thrill flashed to gingerbread (thanks to everyone here) and it is rooted, but I am still getting edge service!! I need 3 or 4g service, I use my phone for a variety of reasons and edge isn't cutting it! What else do I need to do? I used V21D_00.kdz to flash and megatron to root. Thanks to everyone!!

Flash 20c it is Canadian and has the same baseband then u may still need to set your apn or you can flash lestatious biohazard if you have any questions there are guides to help with everything

i was using 3G with T-Mobile since the euro baseband was released for the Optimus 3D. all you have to do is load the baseband and os onto your phone then go to settings - wireless networks-mobile networks- network mode- 3G only and ucheck use only 2G networks. after a while it would pick up the 3G signal. 4G might work but since I have Simple Mobile 4G isnt activated on my plan. Hope you get it to work for you.

So I need to download the EU baseband and install that. After that do what? When I goto my settings there is no setting for me to turn on or off 3g! There is no settings at all! Can someone please post some pics of this because this is really rubbing me the wrong way. I've been at this for over a week!! Thanks again for everyone who has been helping.

Make sure the phone you have IS the Thrill 4G 3D, for AT&T
after you've made sure is the correct phone, then load the KDZ or BB as is also called and make sure is V21D, I have tried V20C and it doesn't work
So after you've loaded V21D.
let it boot, go into wireless settings, access point, press menu and enter your own T-Mobile APN. The one I use is listed on the other thread about using tmobile 3g on the thrill, look for it, and good luck.
I'll post some screenshots when my daughter comes back from school later today and show the thrill running H on t-mobile network

Ok, did it again and still the same problem. I have a 4g lg thrill. This is crazy, why am I having such a problem?!!

ok I look at your screens and the only thing I see different is that you only have tmobile listed as your apn but I have att phone and att wap listed on my phone. I do have the blue do on my tmbile and I've saved the apn. I think that maybe the problem. Is there a way to get rid of them? Thanks man for all your help, I feel I might get this taken care of.

when you are in the apn screen go into the att ones as if you're gonna modify them
press menu and delete, that should take care of your problem

it wont give me an option to delete or change them. Im going to post some pics of my phone so you can see.

Your problem is you STILL HAVE V20P
get rid of it and flash V21D, and then you'll have option to put your own APN

I see now where it says software version but I've downloaded the v21 6 different times! I've even done a google search and I will end up here for the version. The links I've tried here all give me the same one. I even downloaded another one last night before I went to bed and installed it and I'm still stuck with this one. How big is v21 so I know I have it exactly. I will put up screen shots of my computer to show you how many times I've downloaded them and what they say. If you have a link to where I can get it and you know its the correct one, please post it or send it to me at my name at hotmail. Thanks.

What I think is happening is the lg mobile tool is downloading the v20 and installing that. It always downloads a file that is around 425mb then installs that. What do I need to do to stop that from happening?

[Q] Lg optimus black wont turn on

My lg optimus black p970g will not turn on and when i plug it into my computer while holding vol + nothing happens
This happened after i was using smartflash. It said that it completed fine and after a reboot it wont turn on.
No leds or anything, just black.

Did you take out the battery already? If not, try it

well that is kinda obvious, im not a 5 year old. I took everything out and tried plugging it into the computer and the wall charger but nothing. No notification of it charging either

Do you have an online handle that's mickeydubbs?
Anyways, I think just leave it plugged in for an hour and come back, battery stats were probably wiped and the phone thinks it's way too dead. I bet that's it man!

Btw i use sft with battery in phone and nothing happend rong..

what do you mean by an online handle? and ill try plugging it in over night. But when we hit the power button there are no leds that go off or anything that indicated its trying to turn on.

Hi all, I also have this problem like mikey. Smart Tools said it success on completed. But my phone isn't startup anymore. Even I try take out battery, sim, memory. It still can't turn on . If anyone found solution please help us!

I've had the same problem last month.
Just as dare14 said, the problem is the motherboard.
I tried everything as well, but didn't manage to fix it. In the end i just sent it to LG hoping they wouldn't know I flashed my device.
(Hoping they wouldn't notice because my device did nothing at all so no way to check right ?)
About few weeks ago I got my device back and everything was fixed, no charge
When i checked the repair statement it said the motherboard was replaced.
So sadly dare14 is likely to be right.
