I have the chance to pick up a Z3-box for a good price. I do need to get my IMEI repaired and I think it would be fun to play with the Z3-box but I have never used one. Does anybody have an opinion on them? The support forum for the product seems lackluster at times.

Hi everybody!
Well, it has good and bad effects to life in a poorer country. I bought a xda over ebay and imported it into Hungary where I work and life. I tried to get some kind of a holder for my car....none.
I tried to get a car cit (handsfree kit with no cable for the headset etc, which even offers the possibilty to connect a gps) ...none
I tried to find someone to build me one....full hit!
If anyone can get hold of the plans + maybe some parts, I will have the guy who does the moldering for realy low money. As far as I know there are plans flying arround how to do it but I could not get hold of them. Further I was also not able to get some parts I think one needs for this.
If we take this all and make a circle out of this there is a cheap working solution, my only trouble is I have trpoubles with the parts and plans.
If you can help me we could produce this cheap and everyone can participate.
What do you guzs think about this?
Maybe I look right now as a cut off, being new here but I am not. I run a company here for several years. Being a newbie in something does not mean to have bad ideas.
Flame me, throw things on me or give me bad names, I dont mind. But I believe there more people out there which would like this question solved but do not have the abillities to do it themselves.
Hi hungarian,
I've the same problems but I've found two companies who build special cables or where you can buy plugs with or without open cables. I think the best one is in Germany:
http://www.gpskabel.de/shop/
I've wrote him today and wait for an answer.
or here:

and in USA:

Please email to me directly to [email protected] for further communication. B.T.W. I was born in East Germany and we will never forget the year 1989 ;-)

Hi guys.
I'm interested in buying a Kaiser.
I'd flash the rom with Tir v10k, seems working good.
What do you think of this smartphone?
I usually use Nokia with Symbian, just wanted that for trying it.
Is it the same if I get a V1615, Mda Vario III, P4550, Htc Tytn II, Xda Stellar? Or not?
I'm trying to buy it on Ebay, sometimes you can get a good price, I don't want to pay it more than 200€.
I found the utility for unlocking it, in case of device locked to some operator: it's not difficult the operation, right?
Tell me what you think.
Thanks
I also used to use nokia symbian phones but beleive me bro once i got a tytn2 and started flashing roms and "buying" programs for it i wil NEVER go back to a symbian phone the wm phone are so much more versatile than symbian.
The unlocking process is very simple its just like installing a game to you pc as long as you follow the instructions you cant go wrong (well most cant).
Would highly recommend a kaiser/tynt2 also opposed to buying one off e-bay there is a site selling them brand new for around £260 maybe £240 cant remember have a google, would be better if you cant get it new for warranty purposes.
Enjoy your phone when you get it,i am due an upgrade now but regardless of getting a new phone i am not going to sell my tytn 2.
Also i have just posted about anyone who has bricked there kaiser/tytn2 because i didnt take very good care of my housing and am looking to buy a second hand good condition housing,so USE the pouch it comes with because it will chip easily if you drop it, i just paid £25.88 just for a battery cover for it so be warned.
Thanks so much for fast reply.
Can you give some examples of useful sofwares for Windows Mobile?
I cannot find the site you're talking about for taking a new one. Do you think they have many problems that I should need warranty? I don't want a phone for bringing it to assistance every month. Is warranty European on these products?
Thanks

The softwares that are usefull all depend on what you are going to be using the phone for...there are many different UI (User Interfaces) available to download like htc home, manilla 2d/3d, spb mobile shell just to mention a few it all depends on what you want on your home screen.
The warranty is the manafacturers warranty which means that if theres is a manafacturers fault with the device you can send it back for upto one year, some phones will allways be sent out with a fault that got past the manafacturers tests but not very often but it does sometimes happen and if your the unlucky person that gets that one in ten thousand phone you will want to send it back.
I personally have had no problem with my tytn2,there is so much software out there for all walks of life.
I wil try and find that site for you...
Heres one...

Hi guys i have a Tytn II on vodafone but unfortunately the phone is now discontinued and am wondering what would happen if i "lost" it!
I bought it for £100:00 on a two year (i know,i know) contract,if i happened to "lose it" would they try to offer me a cheap crappy phone or
are they obliged to offer me a like for like phone?
I know you guys on here are experienced phone users and may have come across this before.
A lot of us on here have seen this question in various guises before and the advice is don't commit fraud. The rest of us have to pay for it with increased insurance costs.

WHOA!
1) My question is not about fraud at all.
2) I respect your scepticism but the truth of the matter is that i thought i had lost it yesterday and thought i'd pose a question to you guys as i feel that since vodafone don't have a legitimate replacement as of yet for my phone which i get much enjoyment out (flashing etc..)of how would or rather how can they get me a replacement device as i would not be happy with a sony ericsson or any Nokia they have out right now on vodafone.
Fair enough it's just that has been more than enough people asking a very similar question with the intention of pleading loss to get something new. And you putting the lose it in quotes did imply a faked loss.
Personally i suspect that vodafone would offer you something comparable to your TyTn II, not sure what they have in their range for you at present.

Yes thanks for your input i was gutted at the thought of losing my phone as i love flashing new ROM's on it and coming to this very informative website, the thought of me having to "settle"...LOL for a Nokia N96 or something of that nature would be disapointing.
I have a Motorola Telus Milestone that I am using on AT&T in the USA. I believe the motherboard may have died on my phone and am looking to see about getting a replacement motherboard specific to Telus/AT&T if anyone has one they are looking to sell let me know. Thank you
Sir,
I'm not sure about you can find a new motherboard, it may cost similar prices with phone.
I have bought a rarely used Motorola Milestone for $300 on Ebay, I liked it too much but I have problem with the keyboard slider, it's no holding tight, shaking sometimes,
Do you think the sell the phone as parts ?
If yes, how much do you want for both keyboard slider mechanism and camera button (if it's still in golden color, mine came in white color :S )
According to the Motorola Canada website my phone is still covered under warranty for another 2 months. However it obviously does not mean that it will be repaired/replaced. I am still waiting to hear from Motorola if I should send my phone in or not. However if things do not go the way I am hoping. I would sell the device as is for parts only. I will leave a comment on this thread depending on either way whatever I hear from Motorola.
If I do end up selling the device it will be as a whole unit, not broken down. There is a website I found that has parts for the a lot of phones. Here it is:
http://www.globaldirectparts.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=milestone
I may buy whole unit if I can effort the price, please just let me know about it.
Thanks for the link, jgregoryj1
Edit : Do you know any website like that but selling single unit, too ?
Hi there,
First post so first up let me just say hey been lurking on here for awhile but never needed to post before! I seem to have had the worst luck ever, purchased two samsung phones first off a galaxy s2 off ebay which I was really looking forward to using and then an s8000 from cex which I wasn't looking forward to using so much. I've spent a lot of time unlocking and sim unlocking them only to find out they are both IMEI blocked, I've spent a lot of money on them and even when i've taken them into the operators they have been no help even going so far as suggesting I have stolen both of them. I don't really want to give up on either phone but spending £100 on a z3x box just for two phones is a bit much, so I wanted to know if there's anyone in london with a z3x box who would be willing to help me. I understand that it probably looks a bit dodgy asking on a new account like this but I can only assure you of my sincerity. I'll understand if no one is willing to help but if anyone is could they please get in touch with me.
Thanks for your time.
You need to get your money back from ebay and cex, shouldn't be a problem, always get imei no before buying, if they don't provide it, they are hiding something
