i see too more people have problems about promixty sensor beacuse of changing LCD screen. when you change omnia 7's LCD you to will have problem about promixty sensor not working fine.when you make any call lcd is going black and you can't do anything. me too was have this problem
if you on any old rom you was can set promixty sensor from diagnosis app but in new roms like mango diagnosis app is not have any set menu for promixty. we was need first install old rom set promixty after update to newest roms. beacuse of this I WAS CAN'T USE FREEDOOM ROM for my omnia 7.
i get old diagnosiss from any old rom. its have set for promixtyi have tryed its WORKING
install this app with multixapinstaller and not lose use sign xap in settings of multixap

Ok, I know it's not the good way but...
I have upgraded my kaiser to a new ROM 6.1 from 6.0.
I messed the registry and I have a simple issue.
When I launch the Camera I have no image on the screen but the camera is working.
Is there somebody who can grabe the right registry keys to put it back?

Which keys? The whole Hive, just HKLM, or what?

I dont' know which key is corrupted. The camera is working and the display also except that when I launch the Camera application I have a black display, I don't see the picture before taking it.
So, let's say the whole.

Did you mess with the registry or the ROM upgrade messed up the registry ?
If it's the first solution try re-flashing .
Are you using a WM6.1 ROM now, your Radio in your sig is for WM6.0?
If so, flash a new WM6.1 Compatable radio (list in my sig).

I messed with the registry...
Well, I merged my old registry with the 6.1. Everything is working except this. Pretty sure that I messed one key, the one which is doing the link from the camera to the screen since the screen is black but I have all the button and can take a picture. Pictures are taken too.
Check out the nadavi camer thread and download the camera cab that DOES NOT include the camera fix. The black screen issue is documented in that thread fairly well. To my knowledge, no one has found a fix for the black screen issue aside from installing the aforementioned cab. I bring this up because the cab might fix your registry entries for you.

I had installed the fix on the 6.0.
After putting back my backup on the 6.1 with the registry merged, the fix was still there.
I have uninstalled the fix and.... voila, it's working again.
Anyone have a way of installing the "default" 6.1 camera app? I was messing around with some of the other camera versions, and would like to go back to the "stock" 6.1 camera, but can't locate the cab file for it...I'm pretty sure it's on the device as a cab, but don't seem to be able to locate it.

If you go to the official thread and read the last page of posts, you'll see that using the cab with the "Fix" is not recommended. Simply use the regular 5.0.4.2915.00 version and you'll be fine.
I think that we need this thread because many of us lioberated the SnapVue or changed the ROM with customs ROM anb after that we see lot of great new options as GPS or more free space but also there are few problems and we need to talk about them and find solutions. Below are few problems and solutions:
Q: I changed the ROM and the Opera Mini sometimes show me white screen and block my WM side?
A: When you see white screen just click and keep pressed on the left up corner of the white screen.
Q: I changed the ROM and there is no microphone now on WM side?
A: Seems that microphone stop working after the ROM is changed and there is no solution until now.
Q: I changed the ROM and the backlight don't keep the level I choose and always go to maximum.
A: This happen only when Vista is started but when the Vista is OFF the backlight keep the custom level.
Q: I liberated my SnapVue but now I can't download attachement received on my email?
A: Do not click on attachement, just right click on it and choose "Save as".
Q: I changed the ROM and now my keyboard appear as in other language. How can I restore that?
A: Just search on the forum how to edit the registry with the value for your language and all is done.
Q: I changed the ROM and there is no sound on WM side or Vista side. Why?
A: This problem can be fixed by cahnging the ROM with one with this problem fixed. Just search the forum.
Q: I want to change the ROM but this not work for me?
A: Just HardSPL your SnapVue/WM side and then conect it with Vista with USB tools then try again.
Q: There is no SD card, no WiFi, no Bluetooth, no voice and no camera on my SnapVue/WM side. Why?
A: These options was factory "disabled" for SnapVue/WM side and we don't have a solution until now.
Q: My HTC SHift come with GPS receiver inside or you talk about external GPS receiver?
A: Yes, your HTC Shift come with GPS receiver inside and there are custome ROM's which can enable it.

touchflo ain't working anymore i just get a message of 'tape here to launch touchflo' and if i tap it says luanching touchflo for about 5 sec and then it switches back to 'tap here to luanch touchflo'
i can still run htc home.
it happenend after installing a skin ''pcarvalho TF2D Digital Clock.cab''
even if i try to install a new skin with m2dc nothing happens.
so the question is how do i get touchflo to work again????
i fixed it already by just deleting the skin
Me also facing the almost same prob here..but after 'tap' about 5 sec touchflow theme come back alive..the problem is it happen everytime. it almost like every 2 hour once. FYI I'm using standard ROM provided HTC website..hehe..
I too had this problem recently. It happened when I installed my backup settings from M2DC after flashing a new ROM. The new ROM had a more up to date vertion of M2D in it, so I can only assume that is causing the issue.
It only happens when I try and restore an old settings file, not when I change icons etc - so does that mean it's the xml....?
I'm facing the same problem everything is completely fine until i restore my backup .. well i'm using the htc rom also that the htc home runs fine on it...

After short time I've bought topaz, decided to install HDtweak (due to touchFLO in landscape) and G-config (for some apps in landscape), first days everthing was fine, but... For example:I wanna use calculator in landscape, so I rotate phone, in a second the calculator is in landscape, but in another second it disappears and i can see only home screen in standart vertical position... I thought, problem will dissappear with unistalling tweak and gconfig, but I was wrong... so i decided for hard restart, now i have nothning in my topaz, no tweak, no gconfig installed, but i have still the same problems with calc, album and opera...

i think that somehow , on some level , something went wrong with the phone itself
i mean , if you did a hard reset i don;t think it's a software or a program problem
are you using the original rom or a modified one ?
