I want you guys share your best and favorite apps with images and description for the help for those who are looking for their required apps
I like Emergency Medical Services Honeycomb App
This app gives you a honeycomb tablet version of the classic guide to Basic & Intermediate Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) for use in emergency situations.
I use Documents to Go daily. I'm a worship leader and its the BEST app I have found for displaying lyrics and chord sheets while I'm playing. You can fully edit Word docs and Excel sheets and its a great PDF viewer. It has full Google docs integration and you can even view power point presentations. I have the pro version but the free version is great in itself and the pro is well worth the money.
I had to take the screenshots on my phone (no wifi here) but you get the idea.
Spalshtop Remote Desktop is AMAZING! It allows full access to your PC including the ability to stream video and audio to your xoom! Hands down the best and fastest remote desktop app on the market.

I'd much rather use the free teamviewer
Hit thanks or ill hit you
My favorite app is CamScanner. You scan a document with your device and it saves it as a PDF. I was able to get rid of tons of paper because of this app. Now I have copies of all my documents in one place, nicely organized. Not to mention, I'm able view and edit them with ezpdf.

I really like AutomateIt. Easy to set up device rules - use it on my Nexus S and Xoom.

Have you seen MobileSheets? It's by far my favorite Xoom app. I imported all of my PDF sheet music (which took a while) and now I have instant access to them. I can also build setlists very quickly. The dev is very responsive - he has added a few features I've requested.
I also am a worship leader/musician.
I can't post links yet, but it has a free and pro version.

Preface:
Owners of Galaxy S series devices will likely know me as the developer of the free open-source firmware flashing tool suite, Heimdall. What a lot of you probably wouldn't know is that until very recently I worked as a professional freelance game developer, typically being involved in medium-to-large-scale 3D FPS and action games. It's even less likely that you would know that late last year I tried my hand at creating my first 2D Android casual game, Anti-Squish.
About Anti-Squish:
Anti-Squish is an addictive touch controlled casual game. Your goal is to score points by helping flies starting on the left or right side of the screen safely make their way to the opposite side. Prevent them from colliding with each other and make sure they don’t get SQUISHED!
Use the in-built high score system to compete with friends on the one device, or upload your scores online to compete world-wide.
Anti-Squish comes with three main game modes plus one additional unlockable mode:
Classic (Easy, Medium and Hard):
You have 5 lives. See how high you can make your score before running out of lives. Different difficulties adjust how often flies spawn and how often swatters appear.
Rush (1 Minute, 2 Minutes and 3 Minutes):
You have a time limit and unlimited lives. See how high you can make your score before running out of time. The quicker you save flies the faster they will appear. Your score grows much faster if you save multiple flies in a row without letting any die.
Survival:
You have only one life. See how long you can survive without letting a single fly die. The game gets progressively harder over time as you save more flies. Your score grows faster the longer you survive.
Hidden/Unlockable Game Mode: (???)
A bit of detective work should get you the name of this game mode. However you’ll have to unlock it to find out what it is… or ask someone else, but that spoils the fun!
Lite vs. Full Version:
The Lite version only includes easy and medium difficulties for the Classic gameplay mode. The hard difficulty for Classic mode and the other gameplay modes are only available in the full version.
The Lite version still allows you to upload your scores online for the game modes in which you have access to.

Background:
The original version of Anti-Squish and Anti-Squish Lite was made available in November 2010. However it was only a week ago that the game received a complete graphical make-over. The make-over replaced all my terrible programmer art with the beautiful graphics you see above. Props go to Amora Leite for producing such wonderful artwork. The graphical update also included a few minor functional improvements and the game mode available in the Lite edition was changed from "Rush" to "Classic".
Anti-Squish is our first ever Android game. We're hoping for at least a small amount of success so that we'll be able to produce larger games and applications in future.

Hello XDA!
I'm a longtime reader and I would like your opinions my new game Monster's Pinball for Windows Phone 7.
It has two tables and is based on one of my favorite handheld pinball games from back when I was a kid and its just as challenging (can anyone guess what game?)
If you like the game please leave a comment and rating in the marketplace!
Someone left a comment saying the flippers had no power. Is this true for everyone? If so, what device are you using?
Thanks!
Here is the description from the Marketplace:
Monster's Pinball pays tribute to some challenging cult classic portable pinball games.
Can you confront and defeat over 50 monsters in and around a creepy old mansion? There are over 100 items to unlock!
Run the right loop 3 times to enable a confrontation with a monster, then run the left loop 3 times to enable battle mode. Defeat the monster to fully unlock it.
Different monsters are in different locations! Hit one of 2 travel buttons 3 times to travel within the games 18 locations.
While this may be an homage to classic games, Monster's Pinball is full of modern gaming conventions such as:
xp / leveling system
special challenges
powerups / perks
online scoreboards
Supports fast app switching and you can save and resume games! See you on the scoreboards!
Any and all suggestions are welcome, just email me at [email protected]!

Tried it out. Great game. I think the review the other poster gave (i'm the 2nd review on their now) was because he is used to those fast paced electronic pinball games. Not ones based on the classic real pinballs with metal heavy balls. I would however suggest adding maybe tilt to it and penalty for tilting to much
Keep up the good work.
Oh btw i was playing it on an HTC Titan.
UK?
Hi
Why is the free version not available in the UK?
Thanks

There is tilt and it can only be used every 5 seconds. Just tilt the phone in the direction you want the ball to go and give the phone a hard jolt. There is a visual effect so you know it worked. Thanks for trying the game!

That's because the microsoft ad control doesn't really work anywhere besides the US. I've waited a long time for them to expand but now I'm thinking about using admob and adduplex in the future. Try the trial of the paid version and buy if you like it; I kept the price very low compared to the xbox live games.
Thanks for the question though, it really reinforces the fact that I need to make my games free for everyone.

Lately I have been working on a handy application for every poker player. The app is called Texas Hold'Em Poker Odds en does exactly what the name suggests, it calculates your winning odds on the poker table . The app is specifically designed for Windows Phone and features some very fast algorithms to estimate your odds. I hope you guys like it, it will hit the Market Place soon and will be free with a little advertisment. Possibly an adfree version for a small fee will come if there is demand. I am open to any suggestions, I have also been thinking about the possibility of making the free version completely ad free after an x amount of uses instead of a paid version.
Let me know what you guys think. The xap is attached to this post so everybody with a developer unlocked handset can try it out already.
Market Place Description
“People would be surprised to know how much I learned about prayer from playing poker” Mary Austin
But is praying really necessary? Once you master the odds, you've mastered the game. With Texas Hold'Em Poker Odds, you will increase your chances to become king of the table. Become a winner with every single hand! What are you waiting for?
Texas Hold'Em Poker Odds features fast and highly optimized algorithms to determine your probabilities on the table. It is uniquely developed for Windows Phone and feautures a nice Metro-style user interface. Add ability to scan & recognize flop/player's cards, to avoid a manual input (it's a tricky but not a rocket science 'cause of chance to use a predefined patterns). Marvin, check that stuff http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/238114/Realtime-Webcam-Sudoku-Solver , it's a really cool (and I already have ported some important parts to WP7).
However (truly) the app is useless (doesn't matter you play with friends or in casino) - you'll be blamed/shamed/banned in seconds by using this app in a real game
If you want to make a poker tool, how about a bankroll management app. Tournament and cash games, add some stats and give it the ability to back up to SkyDrive.

Ah yeah thats possible but it would be odd to use in real life right. Although I have already madr a Bradley filter which will make image recognition much more easy, detecting cards is still quite tricky. But I have seen an article about it, using a photo edit library.
Yeah thats true, but you can also use it to train yourself to gain more insight in probabilities or use it afterwards to calculate what the odds were of you winning/losing. Or you can have a friend with you in the casino who will look the odds up and signal it to you
Btw I have done that sudoku recognition, but the OCRing is a pain in the ass as Sudokus in news papers have a lot of different fonts and those techniques did not work on all fonts (we had a similar approach). However it might be working like they did it here I have not read the code, just the article. Also I have a very fast Sudoku solver which I can maybe dig up if you need it. Its already in C#.

That would be cool yes, but than for a different app I guess. As this app just focusses on the computation of the odds. A real app to track your win and losses on several tournaments will involve a whole different set up. Non the less certainly a cool idea
It could be part of a complete poker app with different tools. Odds calculator, bankroll management, casino locator with reviews, etc.

Other Info
Byte Code Canada is really me, just a 16 year old from Toronto, Ontario. I will tell you what I learned to make this game.
Well, this is a list of the books I read:
C# 4.0 - The Complete Reference - 1000 pages 1st one, I have experiences in other languages, if you do go ahead and get this one.
O'Rielly XNA 4.0 - 500 pages I just read the 2D Sections and WP7 Section.
Professional Windows Phone 7 Game Development - 500 pages I read a little, learned how to structure everything. I decided to make my own Game Structure(The Foundation, would be another way to call it).
For Silverlight, I didn't really do much on it, but it's where I started from. I made a Black Jack game, while learning C#.
App Hub - silverlight for windows phone
That link is a great tutorial series on the basics of Silverlight. I am sure that there are books about it.
If you are starting to learn C# without any programming experience: Beginning Visual C# 2010, 1st Edition - Is a great beginner book.
Also, just learning the language is not even 10% of the programming. I recommend getting an Algorithm Book such as: How to Think About Algorithms - A great book, just starting it, has lots of nice math and such. But Algorithms are for after you know C#.
Also, never give up Programming is the future.
I recommend downloading the PDFs, and if you really like the book, just buy it. That's what I do when I finish a good programming book

Wow man, good job if you really are 16.. I've been a life long fan of space shooter type games and this one looks really good, I'll try this out and let you know if I find anything weird.
On a related note, I've been trying to program games like this myself for ages and got very close to getting one going with Game Maker 7.0 but never had the vision to keep going... your game is made from the ground up and thus far superior to anything I could come up with.. keep at it, and you'll probably make something of yourself soon.
wow great if you're 16!!!!!!!!
I read you have read some great books, try to read something about functional and reactive programming implementation in c#, but not all in a day, get it easy

*Unconfirmed quote
It looks great. I'm going to give it a try.
EDIT: It's a fun game, but it gets very repetitive. There's nothing to make it very exciting or separate it from the pack. There just needs to be something to make it more addictive.
I think you need more power-ups with exciting animations. And I can't help but feel there needs to be a gun or some other action button. I realize the gun would make it a completely different game though. I also think this is a $0.99 game not $1.87. The simple graphics are cool, but more pizzazz wouldn't hurt. When your game looks like Spirit or Hyperlight it could be worth $1.87.
The good thing is you have a great base. Give this game better graphics and a little more excitement and it will be a total win. I was already getting excited when I pulled my longest string together.
Not trying to be harsh or offensive AT ALL. I'm just giving my honest critique. I want this game to succeed because it's fun and I see it's potential! For that, you need to make it a game that people can't put down.

No need to tiptoe honest criticism is what all devs want. Yeah, I really wanted to keep the gameplay down to one set of controls. As for spicing up the graphics, to be honest, I have no design skills. This is my first game and I wanted to put something out that didn't scream 'amateur' (maybe only softly whispered it instead ). So I went with simple, straightforward graphics. I'll see about trying to tastefully expand the visual style.
RE price - the market has spoken. Downloads have been great, but iAP conversions not so great. I've lowered the price to 99c. But check your PMs, I've sent you access to the full game for free.
Thanks again for the detailed feedback! Anyone else with thoughts/comments, please let me know. Likewise, if you would like access to the full game for free, please PM me!
If you're an amateur and this is your first game, then it is completely awesome! I didn't get the amateur impression at all.
I enjoy the game. I think it only needs one more dimension, of what I am not sure, to push it over the top.
I did see that the ratings are great in Play. Congrats on that!
And thank you very much for the code!!! That was completely, unnecessary, but very much appreciated!
