So I'm looking through the market for this app, it's in the free section, and all of a sudden I can't find it anywhere. Neither can my wife on her G1, who is the one who actually uses it (I'm not disciplined enough), and she would really really like to be able to have it on her phone again. She just recently upgraded her phone to 1.6, I've had 1.6 for a while, could that be the problem?
Anyhoo, if someone could shoot me a link or a pm about this, we/she would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks.
It shows up just fine for me! what rom are you using?
pm me with your email I can send you the .apk
I've tried finding it on WG-Y2.6, My wife is on Official Donut, Now I'm on OpenEclair and still can't find it
Which version of the apk to you have? im running an older one and obviously cannot update.. any ideas on where to get the current apk?
thanks!
Fat Secret Nexus One Froyo
I can't get Calorie Counter by Fatsecret.com on my nexus one running Froyo - it's just not listed in the market for me. it does still show up in the online marketplace and i have a 2.1 rom where it still works.. this could be a deal breaker for froyo or fatsecret
com. fatsecret.android
The new chat with google without having to wait for 2.3.4. But on the Gtab both screens are turned sideways This is running on Vegan Ginger, someone else test on a different rom and let me know if you have any luck.
face tbe tablet down it will turn normal
Nice find, thanks!
Running VegaN-Tab 5.1.1, works great! Thanks for finding this!!
Maybe just me, but it may have kept the g tab from falling asleep.
I installed and when i log in it goes to a white screen and says contacts at the top of the screen. Im not quite sure what to do from there or if this is an error. Anyone have any input. Im running vegan ginger rc1. Thanks.

You have to have a contact that is available to do video chat in order to see the contact.
Still can't get it to work properly with Vegan Ginger.
I was able to get it to work, although i get the sideways screen issue -- still a better substitute than having nothing...much better quality that the yahoo messenger video chat
Running vegan 7
Working on Calk's ROM
I just got this up and running on my GTab running Calk's 1.1 ROM. The picture quality is very pixellated which I assume is because it hasn't been tablet optimized. I'm really just happy that I can actually use the camera for something, GTalk no less!
Wow, Nice find! installed on my gtab running vegan 5.1, made video calls to both my PC and Evo, worked great!
Justim
Running Vegan Ginger RC1 here. The video is rotated 90 degrees on both my end and the computer feed. If it works on Vegan 5.1, I think that's reason enough to switch back to it. This is the missing killer tablet app as far as I'm concerned.
apk?
I am running stock and do not have access to the market. Can someone post the apk please to see if it works on my stock gtab?

How do you mean? Like, lay it face down?
Excellent app, this really made my day when I got it to work and only displays users that can videochat so no guessing

Downgraded to vegan 5.1 and she's running perfectly now. Great find guys!
For some reason, I have about a 5 second audio delay on mine. Running VegaN-Tab 5.1.1, another guy in our office also has a gtab running the same Rom. When we tried VTok on our internal wireless network we got the delay. Haven't tried it on any other system yet.
Anyone else seeing this behavior or have a suggestion for fixing it?
Anyone have this running well on a Gingerbread release?

I wouldn't try to get much of anything to work on a stock G-tab. You need to just go ahead and bite the bullet and install VegaN 5.1 at least. If you stick with the stock ROM you will ALWAYS have problems getting apps that everybody else gets with no problem. If you follow the instructions here at XDA you will get full market access too so there is no downside.
Vtok looks and sounds interesting, but the fact that none of my contacts show up (even though I know they have video set up) tells me that maybe everybody must have Vtok for it to work, like skype, tango, etc. ?

That isn't, or shouldn't be the case. I gave it a spin last night and was able to connect to someone on normal PC Laptop. The person you want to chat with has to be able to use video at that moment or they won't show up in this app. Not intended to be rude, just to give it a little highlight so other's don't miss it and ask the same things later.
I had the same VEGAn Gingerbread issue with the camera rotation, but i've seen that on pretty much every device i've used any video chat on that was geared to be landscape by default.
Video quality was very low, but i'll blame that one a bad internet connection till I have somewhere a little better to test with. Hopefully this is updated to work a little better in the future since it's the most widely usable option outside of Skype(which is still holding onto that video chat function from most of us) or Yahoo(plugin needed for Android), but Yahoo seems to only work for a minute or two before it pretty much destroys the stability of my tablet till I reboot... lol

This is a complete lie!!!
You can install Android Market on a stock firmware, and have access to all of the apps that a custom firmware has access to. Don't give advice if you don't know what you are talking about!
Many thanks to Dizzy's IMEI fix!!!
Great program to get an IMEI number on our NC and allow apps like HBO Go to work.
Great thread (Dizzy's) on this in the Dev forum. It was a little intimidating for this rookie but I figured what the worse that could happen. Took me two tries (cause I had an old Java version) but now I have HBO working, more comfort & knowledge about the NC with ADB, etc.
This forum is fantastic!!!! I knew if I got in trouble there would be help on this forum. Thanks for all you guru's out there who have made this possble.
You're lucky...I can't seem to get it working for the life of me. I altered the framework file using the latest IMEI generator from Dizzy and that worked fine but when I run HBOgo, all I get is the spinning cursor and then an error telling me that "some videos are not available at this time" or something.
I've updated to the latest CM7 release candidate over the weekend hoping that would solve it but nope.
Perhaps my kernel or flash version need updating? I really don't know what the problem is...everything else on the Nook works perfectly.

My HBO Go app updated today, and now it works! Before, it would force close when I clicked "sign in," but today it's working perfectly, with no other modifications!

Have you downloaded the LCD Resolution app? I read a thread here somewhere that said to get that app, then change the density to 160 and check the box that says to do it every time you boot. This makes your market app work a lot better. I was able to get HBO Go from the market after doing this. If it doesn't work for you, I'll post the apk.
Can someone please help me? I have slowly lost all my notifications! The only way I get them is when I actually open the apps. It has been going on for a few months now. It started with my Yahoo Mail, then Word with Friends, also my local news station's weather alerts, now Facebook! Not sure if it has anything to do with it but I have been running AOSP's aospCMod Gingerbread ROM but I have recently switched to CyanogenMod 7 GingerBread. It happened on both. Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me? Your help will be greatly appreciated!!!

Have you gone into Settings/Accounts and Sync and made sure that everything is turned on? I have gone back to roms sand found that Gmail (for instance) wasn't checked to be synced. How often do you have syncing set to in the app/s itself? i set a lot of mine to never, so you might want to look into that also if you haven't already.
Good luck!

OR, it may be that you're low on memory, and some things just aren't running happily.

Yep, just happened to a friend. Low on space. Deleted a few apps and they came back.
I have been getting low on memory. I will delete a few and see if that helps. Thanks!

I don't know anything about iptables, but AtBat12 runs good on my CM9. What are you doing when it freezes? I don't watch videos or watch MLB.com games, so that may be a difference.
Sent from my Nook Color running ICS and Tapatalk
yes thats the difference i have a subscription so im trying to watch the games and i need iptables to beable to use orbot to work around the blackout
I don't know anything about MLBAtBat or orbot, but I can tell you that CM9 does have iptables. And keyodi's kernel added NAT support a couple updates ago.
Things like droidwall now work, when before they didn't. Now something is definitely still not 100% enabled, for instance you can track app's wifi data usage through settings, but droidwall can't log packet blocks. I understand that proxydroid works now, though. Is that what orbot does?
Would a VPN work for you? You're just trying to get around a local blackout, right? Try DroidVPN, it is a fast network that is free in market. You'll have to email them for a password, though.
Anyway, I am not doubting there's a problem, but it isn't because there aren't IPtables. They've been there for a long while.
i downloaded the current nightly from eyeballer and everything worked good with the proxy stuff but now i cant get google apps to work even after logging into google voice and mlb app wont find my location hmm ill keep working thanks for the help
