Which one is the best business phone? - Off-topic

I have found many discussions on it and most of the people are saying that BlackBerry is the best option as a business phone. Is there any other competitive phones?

No blackberrys are the best native business phone but you could hack your android or get microsoft office...etc to make it better then black berry

Iphone.
haters gonna hate

The bionic is what my gf uses for business. In my opinion it's really just the best phone optimized for business.

Best business phone? HTC Kaiser
Best all around? HTC Leo
Best gaming? IPhone
Best for fun? The latest HTC series after the Desire

i think Galaxy Note could also serve well as a business phone with its gigantic screen. but friendly, it is best to type with a physical keyboard..hence blackberry still holds its place in the business world.
people also said the email function of blackberry is still be best, true?

If Android Never Existed What Phone/OS Would You Have?

Let's get this thread going. I know if android never came about I would be using some kind of Nokia flagship device.

I like wp7 its like the elegant blackberry. I had a Samsung focus but had to part ways with it for the lack of apps

I would probably have a dumb phone still. The only network that has service at my house is verizon, and the way I see it without android the iPhone would still be exclusive to ATT so I couldn't get that. Also, without the iPhone and Android's success Microsoft may not have felt such pressure to improve, and WinMo would be more like 6.5 was then Windows Phone 7. Blackberry's all seemed business too so that would be beyond that. That all happening I wouldn't really see any smartphone as usable for me. If however everything was the exact same, and android just disappeared today I think I'd get a HTC Trophy on VZW.

Good point. I think also I would still have my touch pro 2. I loved that phone.

I'd be using a feature phone. Might have paid the insurance deductible to get my Juke replaced lol.

id still be using and hacking my rokr e8. damn i miss that thing.....
Probably some feature phone. I was considering the iPhail at one point, but it was too generic for me
Well i have a iphone now bc i cldnt turn down the trade but b4 android i never had a iphone i always used what looked the best lol!
100% without a doubt the iphone.

Probably some half-decent social phone. I could'nt live without Android!
WP7... never Ios :-D

I would have gotten the iPhone. I'm kicking myself still for getting Android instead -.-
WebOS phone although HPalm sucks at build quality. I love the OS but another manufacturer needs to start building the hardware etc
I'd be using the iPhone probably...
It's a great product afterall, only thing I don't like that much is the control Apple exerts on what you install on it. So if there's no Android, I'd probably own a jail-broken iPhone.
I just want my phone to be, well, mine.
It would have to be iOS. In my opinion, Android is better, but not by much compared to iOS. It's a great operating system and I would have to choose that particular OS.
I would stay with Windows Mobile. All other newer phone OS suck.
-My signature is better than yours-
WP7... Ahthough im gonna switch anyway even if android exists

I guess i'd have stuck with Windows, so i'd be rocking a WP7 device.
I probably would have kept my HTC HD2 lol

Disappointment

XDA's vote for the best smartphone of 2011 is here! Sadly, the Incredible S wasn't in the list, nor any other single-core phones which came out this year.
Is any one else disappointed in this?
Of course, dual-core phones have more raw power under the hood, but does it really make them that much better? Physical build quality is an important aspect to take into consideration as well. Furthermore, as far as the single-core phones go, I personally believe that the Incredible S deserves some merit as one of (if not the) best.
http://www.xda-developers.com/announcements/poll-vote-for-the-best-phone-of-2011/
My phone is better than any damn single core phone out there....hell I would even dare to say that this is the best single core phone HTC ever built(android of course )

I'm happy with the phone I have, but to be honest I wouldn't rate it as phone of the year. There have been too many newer, faster phones since which have all its features and more.
Incredible S is a very good phone, much underrated

Underrated is the right word. It's a shame because of the timing of its release it got drowned by the media with HTC's own Sensation...

Why do you care about these polls. Just be happy with your phone and that's it. IncS is a great phone!

and sometimes misleading.
have you ever considered how many people actually vote and what percentage of people are voting for a phone they already have while other phone owners dont even vote.
i never rely on polls.
eyah.. really disappointment/
I am happy with my inc s but i'd swap it instantly for a sensation xe
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda premium
Incredible S is the best single core phone HTC has ever made. I wouldn't expect the Incredible S to beat out a dual core phone for phone of the year. If there was a poll for the best single core phone the winner will either be the Incredible S or Nexus S. Devs on Xda love the Nexus S.

Incredible S Vs Sensation

Hi Guys,
I am planning to buy either Incredible S or Sensation. Their Price difference is 2K.
I have read somewhere that Incredible S will be stop from service soon.. Is that so??? If so, i hope the ROM development activities will be carried forward here..
So , Which one should i buy??
Cheers!!!!
Personally I'd get a sensation. I only got this due to it being on sale and I needed a phone quick. .....2k? What currency ?
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda premium
Indian Rupees,, Incredible S 20K INR and Sensation 22K INR
Check the specs but I'm pretty sure sensations are more powerful for pretty much the same price.
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda premium
HTC Sensation is a little bit more powerfull ( at least the processor ). The mobile itself isn't that much better than Incredible S but it has a better support. It is more recent so it gets official updates first and will probably still get more updates than Incredible S. HTC Sensation also has been a very popular phone so I guess it also has a better comunity than the Inc S. The only thing that would be making me bying an Inc S (besides the price but the difference seem low) would be the design. I like a lot the design of the Inc S and it is a little smaller.

What phone would you buy the nexus 4 of the m7

Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda app-developers app
Easy for me.. Sprint doesn't offer the N4. NO use even looking at it...
If i would like to get the best for my money (and i´am ok with max 16gb storage and no lte): N4
If i would like to get the best: htc one
Nexus 4? You're trying to tell me that is hard for you to pick between the super sexy, super sleek, top of the line, aluminum body, specs to die for from the HTC one and the boring design, fragile glass back, boring UI, made by LG nexus 4? Yea, no contest.

But you should also consider the price...

The fact you are even posting on xda shows you have more interest in cell phone tech than the average joe. Therefore HTC One. There is no contest between this and N4.
Posting this in the One section is obviously going to get you a biased answer...
M.
I have the nexus 4, development is ok.
But the htc one has WAY more features. Boom sound, better camera.
Oh man... another useless thread started !!!

I would go for the HTC One
There are several reasons why I would get the One over the Nexus 4. The main reason is, that I've always been a fan of HTC phones and build quality. I've also not been a fan of LG. I currently have a One XL and it is awesome. The N4 is better for developers but its going to be more and more behind as far as specs go.
I think for other people the main deciding factor should be interface. With my One X I can choose Sense roms and AOSP roms. With the N4 you're pretty much stuck with AOSP roms.
A friendly advice is post this thread on the General section http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=256
Obviously you're posting on the HTC One forum. Why would an aspiring owner of HTC One let his dream device down over any other device?
*Except for the trolls here who got no life and just come in the HTC One section just to say how they dislike the device*
This phone does seem amazing but again it's going to be crippled by delays in updates so that's why I picked the nexus. The 2gb ram, 720p screen and quad core is more than enough, for me at least

I think everyone knows that nothing beats nexus devices when updates are to be compared. But there are some people like myself who rather prefer usability and unique features than updates. I myself am satisfied already with ICS. The sole reason why I decided to get this and ditch my phone is that my phone doesn't officially support ICS and unless I see very significant changes I won't upgrade.
I have a nexus 4 and really want the HTC One. Only reason I'd miss the nexus is the updates.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
One smashes n4. Aside from that, as stated before, with HTC device you can run sense ROMs or AOSP ROMs. More choice. Also, Google makes a point to make sure nexus devices are not top-spec, officially. They do this cuz it's a development device. What good is it to develop on a device that only 10% android users have the specs to support? Also, I checked out n4 cuz all reviews said it felt Luke a million bucks in your hand. I thought, it felt like junk, personally.
From my Evo LTE, yup.
M7 no contest. I'd take a Note II, GS3, Lumia 920, or HTC HOX+ before I went back to the N4.
Monetarily the N4 is great for the no-contract price. In no other way would I pick the N4 as my phone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38664009&postcount=9 (my opinion)
Who cares about prompt updates anymore anyways. Are prompt updates that important anymore? This is xda. We can have any update or Rom.
Sent from my HTC Mytouch 4g using xda premium
i think it all comes down to price.....
if you got double the cost of the nexus 4 then get the htc one of course....
M7 no question.
Sent from my 3rd Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
All comes down to price 349 usd vs 650 usd. P.s if you post this in n4 section everyone will say n4, if you post this in HTC one forum everyone will say HTC one. If you have enough for the HTC one go for it i've tested the nexus 4 it has washed out screen, bad camera , and very fragile BUT.... for the price the nexus 4 is a very good phone

[POLL] HTC One (M7) vs Samsung Galaxy S IV

I wanted to see a visual representation of which device people in the Vivid forums are switching too. Im with the S4 :highfive:

If I had to choose between the two phones, I would choose the S4. The HTC One's issues with battery life is my biggest concern. I am probably not going to get either phone as my contract doesn't end till June 2014. If I was going to upgrade I was thinking about getting the Blu Life One, it is half the price, comes unlocked and there is no overlaying OS on top of Android.

While the one looks impressive, after having 3 HTC phones and **** support for all 3 including the major issues devs have had with the devices I'm def going Samsung next. All HTC care about is selling devices then abandoning them, and while I still love the look and feel of HTC they have dug their own grave.

ill be upgrading to the S4 as soon as it comes out
