I think I bricked my note. After turning it on, it pop up the " Samsung" animation and the screen went totally blacked. When I hold the Volume Down + Home + Power button, It went into the downloading screen in Odin Mode and it got stucked there. Can anyone help on this ? thanx in advance.
If you put into download mode then it has to stay there in downloading mode, it stucked in downloading mode means? what process you have performed after entering in download mode?
go to recovery , Home + Vol up + power
wipe cache, n wipe data if needed (u will lose data)
thanx dr. I managed to get it done. i download the stock roms

Hello people
I think my I9000 is what you call bricked.
When i turn on the phone, it goes to the Recovery Mode, and when i choose ~~Reboot system now~~ after like 30 seconds, it goes back to Recovery Mode again.
please help me out what can i do? Thank You
P.S Vol. down + home + power on or Vol. up + home + power both works.

It's dead. Time to ring Samsung, plead innocence and hope for a repair or replacement

in recovery try:
wipe data/factory reset
this will wipe your data so if you can get it working some other way and/or dont want to loose your data dont do it
You're more lucky, you can easly flash it correctly trough odin and/or cwm/recovery.
Somtimes you'll need a adb trick getting into downloadmode if it aint working with connecting it to ODIN without kies, having a CMD open typing from the folder "adb reboot recovery" en hit enter/return when the the COM port is flashing yellow in ODIN.
What stage of flashing from Odin did this happen? It should go into download mode. Try disconnecting power and battery and waiting a few minutes. If you cant do that, return the phone. If they wont replace the phone, there is a way of forcing the phone into download mode using the following

If you do get to download mode, reflash to a stock Eclair following the instructions carefully

Hi
Ok I tried flashing the Ultibread v1.0 rom, but the phone went "dead". Dead as in horizontal colored stripes flickering at boot. I press VOL DOWN + Home + POWER and in Odin it says "<ID:0/003> Added!!". I start following the guide in Darkys ROM v.9.2. Press start in Odin and it keeps freezing at "SetupConnection". I don't know if I'm in Download mode, because all I can see is stripes on the phone.
Can someone please try and help me here as I'm getting nervous that I have ended this phones life, and it's not my phone
Thank you
press VOL DOWN + Home + POWER once Samsung screen shows release Vol Down + Home then Power .
Yellow download screen if not phone needs recovery jig .

Hi All,
I am in a mess My GTI9001 got freezed so i pulled put battery and restarted it. After that, It's just rebooting with samsung jingle and stopped at samsung logo ( repeating again and again).
I have tried every hard reset mode. ( vol key + power, vol key down + power etc etc ). I can see only two prompts on screen.."first with green android sign and saying downloading targeting, do not turn off "or " ram dump mode cause force upload"
Tried various ways but only these things happening.
Need help mates as no idea whatsoever. No tweaking done with mobile yet,I am very much a lame when it comes to root or flashing.
Expecting expert advices.
Cheers!!

RAM DUMP & Download Mode is else, you don't need them now (yet). Try to boot to recovery (vol up+power) and try to wipe cache & dalvik cache, and then try to boot the phone

you tried ramdump mode and download mode, to get in recovery you have to use volume up + power, without home button. try to get in recovery and factory reset
EDIT: you have to keep pressed the combo i said for a couple of second after the samsung logo apper, then you will se an android out of a box, it is time to touch menu key once, you will see screen change brightness, if so you are getting in recovery mode

You usually get the "setup connection" error when you are in the Emergency Download Mode instead of Download Mode. You go to Emergency Download Mode by holding down Volume Up + Volume Down + Home Button + Power Button in which it loads a screen that says "Emergency Download Mode" and you go to Download mode by holding down Volume Down + Home Button + Power Button in which it does load the correct download screen with the yellowish message that say "Downloading…". Please make sure you are going to the Download Mode. 'm sorry to say that you have hard-bricked your phone. If your phone is still under warranty, then you can approach a Samsung Service Centre. I have already suggested few solution to a similar problem, but none of them worked. Not even USB Jig. You can refer those solutions here. Maybe it will work for you.

Sorry buddy, there is nothing else you can do except to go to a Service Center. You can give USB Jig a try though but I'm not sure it will work
Isnt it vol down + home + power for download mode?.. vol up gives me a completely different screen..
