Hi there,
I'm on Samsung stock ICS 4.03 LPY Rom. I'm rooted but havent installed CWM recovery yet. I'm on stock recovery. Is there anyway I can change the theme and colors of the UI?
Would it be possible AFTER I install CWM? Could somebody pls post links to themes that work with stock ROM? THanks
bump thread
With Touchwiz? No. If you install a custom launcher, then yes. You could try an icon pack.
If you Deodex the ROM you can apply a theme, Or if you dont wanna do that you can use desktop visualiser to change all the icons.

I did a search on how to deodex the stock ICS Rom but couldnt find anything much valuable other than gingerbread deodex.
Could you point me to where I could find a stock deodexed ICS ROM for my device?

Hi there,
I'm on rooted stock ICS 4.0.4 LRG Odexed Rom. I would like to change my GNote Dialer and contacts to Stock ICS dialer/contacts or Xperia S ICS style dialer without changing ROMs. Is it possible to do so just by swapping phone.apk and contacts.apk?
Can somebody point in the right direction?
Many thanks

I dun think so. Most of the time it requires framework and system ui to be present as well unless it is native Android which I dun think so in this case.

i seccond that, the original LG calendar is awsome...
Gb stock or for example cm7?
Stock Gb: you will need stuff in framework to get it to work, and no-one will do that
Cm7: just install

Hi, I recently flash my OB with the Zeus v7.1 Rom, and try to download the nova and apex launcher, both of them said they wheren't compatible with my device (OB). Is there a way to solve this? Or I strictly need to have ICS or JB?

they actually work on gingerbread, i used one once
search the web for gingerbread ics launcher
i think both worked but dont remember...for the widgets i had to push them in system/app
From https://play.google.com/store :
Nova Launcher: Requires Android 4.0 and up
Apex Launcher: Requires Android 4.0.3 and up
Dont know if there is a mod version of them so they work on GB
i prefer nova. because i bought it for only $0.25

They don't work on GB period. It is reliant on the newer API and thus only work with ICS and JB.
There is launcher that look like that and use older API's. Holo Launcher for example.

Most of the roms based on the stock rom have the stock theme, is there a way to change it to the ICS Holo theme?
