I have installed the ROM and here are the issues that I have seen so far:
Reboot puts in your into recovery (have not tested if selecting Recovery then reboot resolves this).
I had to flash a different modem (KB5) to get a signal.
I only tested GPS briefly indoors, but was unable to get a lock (not surprising, only rarely did this ever happened regardless of ROM).
Outside of those things, the ROM appears to be rather quick.

Flashed KF1 modem and network is still not working.

Flash twice or KB3 over KF1, works for me.

Ok I can confirm reboot puts you back into recovery and you need to flash KB5 modem or some other modem.
GPS works, and I was indoors.
Did some benchmarks and compared it with ICS Slim and I have to say its pretty nappy. Nice release with MANY options, voodoo sound and color awesome.
Only thing left is to test the battery life out.

KB3 or KF1 don't work for vibrant, at least not in US.
Tried flashing many times....no signal.
Can't get a lock on GPS even with KB1, which is usually always good on other ICS roms.
also a lot of lag typing.....might check this out in coming builds.
Keep up the good work!

Flashed KB5 and everything works great. GPS locks to 6 meters inside my house. Nice and quick rom, good customization.

What changed in 1.2 ?

Hopefully the ROM is not as slow as the download link

There seems to be an issue with phone audio. People keep complaining to me that they can't hear me well on the phone, my volume goes up and down but mostly down. Does anyone have these issues or any suggestions?

Testing now the ROM...very nice!
- market force close in 80% times,but can download apps
- screen calibration can improve
- gps working
- WiFi working (no signal meter)
Note: with this ROM,camera don't force close,only keeps it black...maybe it can help?

mobile data works, just remember to enter APN settings yourself.
and button light, is maybe because lights driver is wrong, ill check up on it.

Orientation sensor
The driver for orienation sensor maybe is buggy, even the calibration doesnt work.

i think both kernel + sensor driver might be non-2.2 compliant..
anyways ill experiment, its just 1 day old now and im new to HTC, only worked on Motorola android before..
but as long as i find it interesting, its a challenge, so im hoping it can be improved, as most roms are 2.6.29 based, so hopefully it works.

Very responsive; Being a ROM with a few hours of live, obviously it is not perfect; however, I think it's already enough to prove wrong that idea of Froyo+SenseUI on Tattoo is too heavy...

Thanks for all the feedback, some obvious, but i simply didnt check up on them.
ill clean up the rom for the next update, and hope to have better hw support.
the market and "Stocks" problems seems to relate to some Internet access function so when site is not responding the app crashes somehow, according to log files, maybe wifi is not perfect.
anyways, im testing if "tiny" gapps works differently, and with gapps the "NetworkLocation.apk" and Googlebackuptransport do not install at all, so that annoys me too.
flashlight app + CN apps goes away...
Ive added a very nice "Files" app from milestone, which gives you the option to copy from windows fileshares very easily. (not sure if its legal to do)
ill also test if my deodex'd ACE rom googleapps works better, although they are HDPI based :-( but scaling seems to take effect here on 2.2 , so maybe it will somehow work. as gapps are compiled for senseui, which might be why the CM6 gapps crashes?

Not sure why its always "V'd" , but if you enable it with APN correct settings its not the same icon at all, so maybe its the way of showing your actual network state? i used as similar approach on milestone froyo, when i found out how to hack the smali code and include new code to add new status bar functions, but it is not like i would do it. I added "E" og "3G" on top of the link signal , where this one seems to show network data enabled (as you concluded).

I have to deodex the rom to fix the htc-framework, where settings are included, which means it will be even slower, so for now ill keep it as is.
deodex'ing is nice for graphics mod's, but speed is actually better with odex'd roms.

To add the WWE functions i copied the WWE customization data of the desire release to enable all language, and i didnt update common.xml to indicate its a tattoo, but thats just looks

looks great so far, but i`ll wait for next releases...

So far soo good. I have been only texting myself lol but it vibrates fine and sends MMS fine. I havent encountered the blank messaging screen yet and i have been running through it quite a bit. All seems well. just gonna run some more tests with other kernels to see what I like best. So far for the performance/good battery the stock JL1 with voodoo5 has been my favorite with Nero b3.

Messaging is black and white again, is it the default one? Can we have the stock mms from Samsung?

Thanks, I think the OP should always include SS of the new rom. It seems like this rom doesn't have battery mod :-( ?

I understand the better performance of Nero v1 but i am just so nostalgic about Beta 3 look.. the notification bar, the messaging app, and the boot up screen especially

What kernel is this based on?

From what I know from previous SuperAOSP work in Nexus One, it seemed that [email protected] makes his own kernel for his own rom for best compatibility. It should be the same here on Nexus S too.

OK so I cannot change settings in the toggles, time, and battery icons so far after using it for about 15 minutes. Just a heads up..

this rom looks nice and runs fast but i couldn't connect to wifi from the first try...i had to reboot it and it was ok...also all the settings i try to make in rom control applies also after reboot, i mean i chooose the battery style and nothing happens...i reboot and the battery style is the one that i choose before...

To the two people above, may I ask what rom you are coming from and what steps you have taken along with any extra steps you done before/after flashing?
The clock control takes 10 secs to update but other than that I don't have any issues with them updating or settings being reverted.

I'm coming from ICS Zen and I did all the steps mentioned in the OP. I can say I have some experience in flashing roms

Sorry I couldn't reproduce your error coming from icszen or even after a fresh odin. It's not a rom error, its a human error so perhaps try to odin to jfd and reflash?
Edit: Good news , I was able to reproduce the problem and I'm looking into what went wrong. Stay tunes.

Hi there man, i am currently uploading a fixed build that will fix everyones problem with the status bar not being updated correctly. Hope its not too much of a hassle to ask you to download again later

seems pretty smooth. even got GPS lock and never had with glitch. will see how it goes after deep sleep.
I can't find the ICS navigation bar within rom control? I really use the soft keys a lot to switch between open apps, has this been removed? any way to get it back?
Also noticed that the weather option doesn't work in the pull down bar? the location option is grayed out and it won't appear?

No ICS navigation bar but trust me dude the weather option works. Remember to select custom location after enabling weather function and the box wont be grayed out anymore.

CustoNexus is a ROM from source by Floatshow & djpbx
PORT by dexter_nlb
Kernel is STOCK, since we got a locked bootloader and currently no way of changing it.
NOT COMPATIBLE with V20a recovery, kernel is different and not compatible with v20a bootup

per default it seems to have force GPU for 2d, which you disable in "developer settings" , as performance tests will decrease alot, but overall use look better.
- start lgcamera (you will get black screen) OK - normal.
- click shot button (you will hear shater sound - but picture wouldn't be taken)
- pres back button on phone
- start camera apk from custonexus - and thats it! worked every time for me.
and works up till next reboot.
it has come to my attention, that mobile data do NOT enable, if you got a pincode on your simcard. so disable this in your stock LG rom, do NOT do it in this rom, it will fail and cause your simcard to enter PUK state and you need the PUK code to get opened again.
battery: do note, WIFI is default - always enabled - and inactivity timeout is 15minutes, you can set it to always and 5 minutes, and deep sleep is faster optained.
Factory reset / WIPE before you install if you come from STOCK LG rom, as this ROM will only install and clear system partition automatically. you are responsible for factory reset coming from another type of rom.
Alternatively - use original recovery where you factory reset as well. (VOL- + powerOn, remove usb cable, or you get to wrong menu) ..
Install the release using latest ClockWorkMod , using "install zip from external sdcard". this is a regular "update.zip" type of install.
if you get error 7 during install, go check in "mount and storage" that /system is not mounted before you install.
if you wipe AFTER install you loose ClockWorkMod and a few other non-important apps, install CWM the usual way, except do NOT install recovery,
its already installed.but just boot into recovery using the app.

BUGS found in this release
- v0.99p5 vibration bug - disable vibrate when touch, it should mimize risk of vibra-freezes

- possible phone audio fix for those with that problem, here
- if you do have simcode lock enabled, you can probably also have mobile data issue, which means you cannot get APN settings or enable 3G.
solution is to disable simcard lock, if you wish to continue with this rom.

SMS just tested now, works fine.
DATA seems not working, but it does see APN, so im not sure if its ok or not, maybe i just do not have data on my test card.

vibration seems to be, havent got any idea on where this is being controlled to be honest , i cannot see if its a hardware thing or wrong pointer to hardware, it is sadly not shown in any logs when failing (i think)
at least for now , i got no good clue here.
camera, can be easy if i just need to fix smaili in apps, seems "allparamters" makes it crash, ill check it.
bluetooth, i dont know. maybe 4.1.2 utilizes bluetooth differently since the sense release had no issue with my bt fix

wipe might help. i did not write it, but it is needed normally with a new rom
just use plain original recovery (VOL- + PowerOn) and fastory reset
