Hello,
I can not see the external sd card on my windows PC.
I can see the internal sd card as a drive and i have read write access on my win PC (XP/ prof and win7 prof)
I can see the external sd card as a drive but cannot see any files or folders.
connected USB cabel
select mass storage device
not possible to connect USB to PC via dialog (no notification is vissible in notification bar)
reconnect usb cable
Now it is possibel to connect USB to PC via upcoming dialog on phoneselect mass storage device Message box comes up telling that some apps may not work because they have access to sd card
After disconnecting the phone from PC I cannot access the external SD card on my phone until reboot of phone.
I can access the the external sd card using a card reader on my PC.
I think I got these problems since flashing Voodoo-stable-5.1-Froyo-2.2.1-GT-I9000
Firmware Version 2.2
Baseband I9000XXJPP
Kernel 2.6.32.9
I tried to format the sd card with the phone - no changes.
Best regards and thanks in advance O
I have the exact same problem, when I connect with usb cable to my win 7 x64 system using the mass storage option, at first I do not connect at all, then I have to remove the usb cable once, after that I can connect but only see the sd card on the phone itself, the external sd card is invisible.
When I remove the usb cable I am also unable to see the external sd card on the phone itself and I have to restart my phone in order to see it again.
My proplem is solved. By error I installed the voodoo 5.1. on Froyo 2.2 . But it should have been installed on Froyo 2.2.1 as mentioned in the filename of the zip file. I thought froyo 2.2.1 is included in the voodoo update.

Hi all,
Not sure what happened but out of sudden, my External SD card not detected by my PC?
It's workable/explore-able on my phone but when trying to connect phone to PC via USB mass storage, only the internal SD was detected but not the external SD.
I've tried with and without Debugging Mode, and the system still can't detect the external card.
Anyone facing this issue and know how to fix it?

Somehow, issue resolved by itself. Closing topic...
I had ext sd issues with aokp 33. Could be the reason for simply aokp v2.2 problem.
You aren't going to have a sd-ext on ICS. You can find it under /emmc
i think he meant when connects to PC and USB mode is switched on that his PC doesnt detect the ext sd card. i have the same prob with AOKP where i can only see the internal sd on my PC while im on CM9 i can access both
On aokp one can't access the ext sd on PC without multi mount.... Find it at the market.

I have upgraded from KitKat to Android7 (Nougat).
The Nook does not recognise the external micro sd card.
Also, when I connect to a PC in windows explorer the Nook is recognised but I cannot see any files in the internal memory and the external card is also not showing.
Any ideas please.
The SD card is now appearing as an external card in the Nook. It was not formatted.
It still does not appear on the PC
Problem solved.
Apparently due to Nook to PC being in charging mode and not transfer mode.
