I flashed the checkrom v6 rom and did everything required.
Then i changed the density to 240 and rebooted.
The galaxy note n7000 logo came up and the screen went blank, presumably it turned off.
The same thing keeps happening every time i try to turn on the phone
Any one have any ideas to what it could be?
try seeing if it's detected with odin. if it is detected search the development forum for the appropriate stock rom and flash it. Then you should be all ok again.
Did you try changing density manually by editing build.prop or using some app ?
When I flashed first ICS repack, I changed density using app from market, and I got bootloop too, so I had to restore stock from Odin, and then do everything from start
Thanks for the advice guys. your advice worked i flashed the rom in recovery mode and it was all fine again.
I used an app from the market to change dpi, so i think it might have been the cause of the problem.

I have a bell galaxy s i9000m and I was using JPO rom for more than a month. I installed lcd density today from the market and after choosing a new screen density restarted my phone. The phone rebooted with the new density but TWlauncher did not start and gave force close erros. I took the battery out and restarted the phone but it kept cycling through the GT 19000m logo and was even unable to get into recovery mode. Then I re flashed to a 2.1rom( JH2) and phone would go past the "S" logo screen with sound and then froze at the black screen.
With any 2.1 firmware flashed I can get into recovery mode but if I try 2.2 (like JPO) it keeps looping the GT19000m logo.
Help that results in a fix will be rewarded
Thanks
Did u flash a lagfix ?
Btw, wrong section and keep ur donation to urself.
Im in the helping mood so come on here
Sorry about the wrong section. Admin can you move it to the right one?
I am on the chat
Flash it with jg8 rom, 512pit, repartition. Then flash with 813pit, and froyo, no repartition.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
does not work with this combo
you could try jm1 512 pit + re partition. after install enter recovery wipe cache partition + dalvic cache reboot see if phone will go. if not back into recovery and format internal memory + do factory reset hopefully it boots.
How about:
1) try to get into CWM recovery
2) instal another launcher (adw/launcher pro) via CWM
3) if it works - install lcd density from market and change your density to default level

I'm trying to find .tar files to recover using Odin but I can't find... Old SGS + Froyo + Portuguese TMN (carrier)... Any help would be apreciated.
Heeeeeelpppp
Now things are getting very strange. I got the original firmware and flashed the Galaxy S with Odin. All went well without errors. But now, when restarting, the device makes the carrier original sound and is swapping between the carrier logo and galaxy logo, endlessly....
I can use the pseudo-CWM menu with the options Install from sdcard, Wipe Factory and Wipe.
Any help or idea to follow?
(I love this mobile )

Hmm..when i screw something up with my SGS, I just go download, and make myself a stock ginger trough ODIN.
Try the steps for installing andy 2.3 as a preperation for CM7
Errr - So I was trying to get Photoshop Touch on my Note working and realized I needed Tablet Mode enabled. I'm on stock LPY, and read someone had changed the DPI and was able to get it to work/show up in the market (using stock ICS/LPY) So I used DPI Changer in the market, and set the DPI to 213 (as a recommendation from the thread)...
After hitting "save" it seemed like it was taking a while to reboot, so I manually rebooted via the power button and now my NOTE is stuck at "Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000" boot logo. I WAS going to do a full wipe in CWM recovery, but don't want to chance hard bricking my device..
I'm at work so I don't have access to ODIN (downloading now as we speak) but was curious if there was some other "secret" method to recover my phone in its state prior to the change - no backups made and the data on there wasn't really important.
TRY PULLOUT THE BATTERY ABOUT 1 minute and put back.
or else, if you scared to use CWM wipe, try use Odin to reflash rom.
OP
PHP:
why wasted money when you can always do it manually?
root explorer/root browser ---> System/Build.Prop
adjust your LCD density to whatever you like. Edit both of them...

Thanks,
I ended up just restoring via ODIN and everything is back to where I had it sans my installed apps.
I am kinda glad this happened, I flashed ICS without CWM to avoid any possible "I/O bug bricking"

And note. Stock ICS does not support tablet mode that is @ <213 DPI
So I, (like apparently many other 5830D users) was having the bug where it would randomly restart for no apparent reason.
i read that froyo did not have this issue, and figured id give it a shot. i downloaded the ZSKC2 2.2.1 files and loaded them into odin with cooper_v1.0.ops, connected my phone and hit start.
it said it installed everything just fine, but when my phone went to reboot, it didnt.
it flashed a black, blank screen for maybe a second and that was it.
so i tried to go back into download mode on it so i could reinstall the firmware it had before, and i couldnt get it to work.
it would turn on the screen, flash the "downloading..." text for a second, and then turn off the screen. it was weird, because the text was white, not the yellow it always seemed to be. odin recognized my phone for that second, but that was it. once the display turned off, the connection went away. i've tried other usb ports, but no luck
is there any way i can fix this? or is my ace bricked for good? i have no warranty with it because i bought it used.
ive read about a USB jig, will that help?
please, any help at all would mean a lot!
1) You should have taken the bill & the warranty card from the owner you bought this phone.
Coming to the point, it appears to me that there might be a problem with your battery, but I ain't sure about this. Try using a different battery with your phone. Also, are you sure to have used the odin & stock rom for S5830D & not S5830 ? Check these aspects first. If you've got them right, then there'll be either a multi-package or a single package filed stock rom for your device. You can google for the exact odin flashing, try again to boot into download mode again & flash. If your phone fails again to go into the download mode, use the search option here on xda to find out the issue with your phone or the best thing to do would be go to the service centre & tell them that donno what went wrong & this happened.

okay, i tried the battery from my other phone and got it into download mode, i installed the stock rom and it is working again, but the reboot problem is still there!
is there any way to fix that? i have a feeling it might have something to do with the kernel, other roms still reboot and apparently froyo doesnt, the only thing common between all the gingerbread roms that i can think of is the kernel.
i have flashed S5830,T,L,B roms with no issues, but the reboot still occurs. cyanogen hasnt helped either, do you have any clues?

After flashing via odin, if you face a bootloop, reboot into stock recovery & do a factory reset & reboot now. It should work.

..but it is not tuck in a boot loop. its doing what the stock roms did; it'll boot into the rom fine, and you can use it, but once it goes to sleep the phone restarts itself.

If you are having this issue with the froyo, try it out with GB. If the issue prevails, go to service centre. Sorry for repeating the same thing again & again but that's the best I could say of it...

I was installing the DA Statusbar mod. Before I did that I back up my phone using CWM and Titanium Backup.
installed with no problems, I then rebooted. Home screen froze for a second and then showed me that my system.ui crashed. It kept doing that for a good 5 minutes. I decided to go back into CWM and restore my last saved state. I recieved an error installing the back ups (I have made 5 so far).
Now I don't really know what to do. I know I have to basically start from the beginning via flashing stock rom on odin. But how would I go about doing that? I can't seem to find the thread that explains this. =/
Thanks in advanced
SOLUTION HERE
You need to be much more specific. What's your recovery version? How did you backup/restore? Have you done this before? What's the error?
Use the unified tool kit to flash the stock rom.
I strangely cannot find a thread for the 9305 for stock roms =\
The stock firmware can be found on sammobile

To shorten the question and answers... If you could still boot to Download mode.
Flash your stock original firmware trhu Odin on your pc or download an exact model for your phone in SamMobile. From there you start a new... Root then re flash the cwm and so on...
If I understand this right you can boot to cwm and you can boot into the phone but the systemui fcs.
You can do a couple things here without having to reflash anything through odin. If you have your original systemui on the phone somewhere you can try and navigate to it with a root explorer then copy it into your system/app reboot and it should be as before, this can be tricky with constant fc's.
If you have a zip which has a systemui in it you can flash that in cwm and should fix the problem.
If you have a custom rom on your phone you can boot into cwm and flash it.
The fact that you have access to cwm and the phone boots but the systemui constantly fc's making the phone unusable means you have more options and quicker ways to get your phone working then going back to scratch and flashing a rom through odin

Solution.
Basically I got stuck at the samsung boot logo for ages.
I am running CWM v5.5.0.4. I have done this before, sorry I wasn't specific, I was trying to multitask. I've attached a screenshot of my phone info for everyone to see.
1. I wiped data/factory reset.
2. Wiped cache partition.
3. Wiped Dalvik Cache
4. Battery Stats
Rebooted, still no luck.
I went into Download mode.
Opened Odin.
Downloaded " Param_Bin_I9305.zip - 612.14 KB" located in this post
Followed the instructions in that post.
rebooted.
Thought it didn't work but my capacitive buttons lit up. SUCCESS!
Saw my homescreen, I thought I would have needed to root again but I managed to get into CWM after rebooting.
I downloaded root checker....I saw that I still had root access.
Installed Pandoriam v6.
Now I am back to normal.
My CWM backup didn't save me, I don't really know why. Maybe I was using it wrong? The thing is It's worked with me in the past, but not on this device.
Is there anyone that could shed light on that issue? I'll try and back it up again. Do I need to repeat the backup more than a few times to register it to the device?
Not sure if this is the right place or not but seems to be a similar situation.
I have a month old S3 LTE that came with 4.1.2 . It has not been rooted or had anything done to it at all.
I found a thread that shows you how to unlock it but was not getting the final option . This I understood was because some of these phones needed to be downgraded .
I saw a procedure using odin and looked for a similar rom on Sammobile but could not see any for Orange UK so picked a random 4.1.1 Rom and flashed it.
This left me with a glowing Samsung boot screen so I tried another ROM and another ROM and finally when giving up choose a current 4.1.2 Rom for EE but that too is stuck at the same place.
Can you help me work out where I am or have been going wrong please?
The Phone is from Orange UK ( EE ) but there was no branding on it .
i also neglected to note the Rom that was on it
if you read the guides you will find out that you need to factory reset after flashing
Unfortunately as the phone is sitting at a glowing Samsung logo, I cannot factory reset. In fact I cannot do anything except keep throwing Roms at it, unless you have any other suggestions?
