Ok, all of you know all the Gameoft's games force you to install about 600-700 mb of data PER game, that's mean, if you wanna have 5 games you have to sacrifice 3,5 (or more) GB and the 5,5 GB internal storage became TOO short, so I 've searched for a famous app to resolve it (GL to SD), but appereantly the app is not optimized for the new ICS external SD location (mmt/emmc) so when I transfer the data of a Gameloft game (MC3) I've surprised for a RE-instalation of the game's data.
So the point is (sorry for the long story ), which method do you use for move the data of GL's games to the external SD (emmc) in ICS?
PS: sorry for my english

Clean the data of "GL to SD".
If you use Ti backup,it will cache old setting.

So, the only thing I have to do is cleaning GL to SD's data and it should work fine then?

Hi everyone,
first sorry about my bad english
I just bought a n1 brand new and upgraded to 2.3.4 (dont need cooked roms) my question is about the sd card, i know i can move certain apps to the sd card, but the phone its running out of space to install apps, im thinking about to partition the sd card to ext3/fat32 (its 8gb btw)
If i do this, i would be able to move/install apps on the sd card?
I will only use the stock tool to move apps and going to partition with another phone which has clockworkmod installed, or if you know any better app for android or windows please tell me,
Thanks for your time and patience
Ps. Sorry for my bad english again

You need to run a rom that support a2sd (s2e or dark tremor's a2sd script).
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
Using Froyo's app2sd method (which is what you would be using on a stock ROM), it won't ever utilize the sd-ext partition. You need to have a ROM that supports sd-ext and then enable it in that ROM (if app2sdext is built-in) or add it into the ROM with something like DarkTremor's a2sd or S2E.
using the system built-in app2sd function doesn't require your re-formatting the sdcard at all. it's just in some .android_secure folder and mounted onto the system in some way.

The built in app2sd only move the app itself to the FAT32 portion of the sd card.
All data associate with the app still reside internally.
With S2E or DT's script it trick the phone into thinking the EXT section is part of the internal storage, hence all app with widgets and password work like normal.
Another plus is being able to move dalvik cache to sd-ext which free upa a huge amount of space.
Hello guys,
I'm sorry if this was a repeated question.
But i was wondering how we can change our default installation path on galaxy note?
Because the problem is everytime i download something from google play, its installed in the phone memory which is only around 1,5Gb
What's the use of 11Gb that we had on usb storage then? Can we somehow change the default path to usb storage?
And i don't want to use external SD card. I think that's all, thanks guys! Waiting for your respons!

11gb internal storage is called sd card. App2sd is what you need.

I've tried that and it refers to the original function of move to sd card from the application settings. And it didn't work it says couldn't move not enough storage space and its because i dont have any sd card insert.
Therefore 11Gb usb storage only useful for extended game data and photo or music?

Using App2SD you can only move some part of an app to the 11GB (called as SD card or internal SD) memory..also, you cant move each & every app, since some apps needs to be on the Phone memory (memory which shows ~2GB)..I am using App2SD to reduce the load on Phone memory..it wl b useful for apps/games, especially which r bigger in size..what I believe is the more you keep the Phone memory free, the more faster your phone will be..

Thats a better option..buy a 32GB memory card & move all the stuffs like movies, music, photos, docs etc etc etc to it..use 2GB+11GB (in built memory) only for apps, games & their data..
Even 64GB card works on our Note, as per the below thread:

but i wonder you were talking about moving apps 2 sd
However, i moved all apps that are movable, i have no pics, videos, music or whatsoever . Yet, the internal storage gets full very fast to extend that i can't update apps anymore
I hope during the last 4 years someone figured out a solution

Its really simple ,1st you flash this recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=18061 , then you https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24499762635999029 install this trought this new installed recovery , and you now have 6gb memory for installing apps, and 7gb on sdcard0
data=6gb (means +4gb for apps)
sdcard0=~7gb (means -4gb from the stock size)

Hey,
I got a big problem with my phone. When I install games and download it's data, it saves data to internal storage. And for example Asphalt 7 size is 1.63GB. It shows me that there is not enough space in internal storage. And when I move data to external, it not finds it. What can I do?

Use the GL to SD!
He moves all the DATA files to the Memory Card!
To use it, just install the GL to SD, install and download the game and DATA, later open GL to SD and click Options> Move Data. Then and only select games that you want to move (only tested with Gameloft games like Dungeon Hunter, Dungeon Hunter 2, NOVA and Modern Combat 4) and give OK! The application will move all Data to SD card!
To start the game no longer open for regular shortcut, use the GL to SD to start them! Before starting the game click in Mount and then Open!
Free space in the memory of S Advance! =)
I hope I helped!

Simple, make room for game on your internal memory, install it - play. Than when you finish delete data.
In directory bind, set check time to 300 or more. Default is to small, and dont bind files

Fabricionline told him that already, read the 1. page.
gl to sd doesn't work under 4.1
gl to sd only can see 4 programs of 50...
for example can't see angry birds, etc
angry birds has no data i guess or very small,
move data by yourself.
if sd/android/data/
then put to sd/external/data/
for obb
sd/android/obb/
to
sd/external/obb/
and so on.
Hi Guys,\
I am looking for your advice on some internal storage issues on my Samsung Galaxy Note 1 (N7000). i have been using mainly cyanogen rom 10 and Super Nexus Rom.
I keep getting warnings my internal storage (not the internal or external SD card) is nearly full. Apps won't install or update.
If i look at settings/storage/internal storage it says total space 1,97 GB. First it starts out grey and the bar is nearly full. Than it calculates and says there is 192 MB available, 631 mb Apps (app data & media content) installed and 7,71 mb cached data.
I am not an mathetmaticien, but 192 mb + 631 mb + 7,7mb adds up to 830,7 MB. Where is the other 1,166.7 GB gone???? What is eating my internal storage and how can clean this up?
I have tried wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, wiped app data, used apps2sd, i have tried loads of cleaning apps. the only that works is a full factory reset. And after a couple of weeks the internal storage fills up again with ghost data... Any advice here??
Try to use Forever Gone, it fills the memory with .blank files, then it erases all those files and free up space. Hope it helps you with that issue.
If not, consider use another rom , like Asylum Rom, it's CM 10.1 and it simply rocks on my Note with no issues at all.
Good Luck!
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
thanks for the help,
But Gone Forever only cleans up the "internal SD card" Not the internal storage. I have 9 GB free on my Internal SD card, so thats not the issue. The issue is about the 2GB internal storage.

In 4.4 janice/codina ROMs, there's the flag dalvik.vm.dexopt-data-only=1 as default in build.prop (yeah it's named dalvik but doesn't matter what runtime are you using). This means that data partition contains user apps' classes.dex+system apps' (including gapps, more complete gapps package=heavier=more space occupied+more dalvik cache) classes.dex, where as default is data partition=user apps' classes.dex/cache partition=system apps' classes.dex
For example:
40~50 (maybe more) apps installed (including their classes.dex) 1.8~1.9 GB
25 apps installed+that flag in build.prop = out of memory
Just in case: classes.dex = ART/dalvik cache-executable
