Can someone running the 4.0.3 OTA pull the gapps and related libraries/config files out (see koush's ics gapps as an example http://download.clockworkmod.com/test/gapps-ics-20111128.zip)
I've built a 4.0.3 rom for the gnexus but there appear to be issues with the older gapps.
thanks

Anyone know where i could get the most recent package of gapps for Android 2.3.7? ROM manager has one but it is from August and for 2.3.5. I know i could use that one but just figured maybe there was newer. Thanks

If i follow this steps is there any chance to brick my phone?
I want to install paranoid android build 5 .
1. Make a backup
2. Clear cache
3.Clear davlik
4.Format /system
5.Install zip from sdcard
I want to install this custom rom only if there are 100% no chances to brick my phone

There isn't 100 percent change to have succeed. Anyway LG is hard to brick. I successfully changed my rom but after 2 weeks it got huge problems nd cannot mount partition.
After clearance by NVflash all problems gone.
If you aren't coming from PA rom, and wipe data petition also.

I have stock rom v20s

Then you need to do a full wipe.

I understand your hesitance I felt the same way.. untilled I successfully did it.. first one I tried was cm7 official build used the same steps u list but got a boot loop (this is not a brick as u can still access recovery) .. anyway I had to nvflash the rom and it worked and I now change Tom's all the time just to test and mess about with .. its easy and there is plenty of support available ... good luck

Gapps are flashed after the rom without a full wipe in between.

*Update to last firmware
*flash notecore via odin pc
*download one 4.0.4 rom
*wipe data/System
*install rom.zip + gapps
*boot..
I'm right?
whats starting point gb?

Last ics firmware italy 4.0.4
then just continue step 2, then after pc odin, you can reboot recovery and do the wiping, no need to update again, unless you want different rom. Always follow first post of rom thread, and thread

do efs backup first perhaps
at own risk

gapps is only required for CM and AOKP based roms not for tw roms.

If you are on samsung ics and going to aosp roms , yes this its the way but you need to add one more step.. Download triangle away and remove the yellow triangle after flashing notecore with pc odin once you are on the new rom

Any suggestions for the Gapps?
I'm still on stock, got the phone 3 weeks ago though. Do you recommend getting a custom ROM?

Are you on the latest cwm version? Flash the latest cm nightly, then follow the steps.
