Forgot to protect root using rootkeeper and flashed euphoria Ics rom onto vibrant. Cannot root using the utility how can i root my phone now?
Sent from my DROID RAZR using XDA
Euphoria is already rooted. OTA Root keeper won't work bc this isn't an over the air update. All our custom ROMs are already rooted.

I have an Incredible S with Froyo. I just used the Alpha method to S-Off, I installed clockworkmod, and I rooted the phone. If I install the Gingerbread OTA what will I have to do to get root back? Will I have to start from the beginning with the Alpha S-Off method? I just wanna go to a regular Gingerbread Rom until Cyanogen Mod is ready.

Taking a GB OTA will definitely cause you to lose S-OFF and root, but according to the AlphaRevX beta thread, it has been verified on both Froyo and GB Roms.
If I were you I would just flash a rooted GB ROM and not take a chance that AlphaRevX would on the OTA GB Rom.
If I want to root my Galaxy S running on 2.3.4 JVQ or JVR, how can I do it? I don't want to upload kernels which will bring me additional functionality, I want only to root my phone and that's it.
Is there any way to root it except to upload kernels which have implemented root + other functionalities?
Thanks.
Just look for cf-root. These kernels are stock just added with root and nothing else.
I am not so sure since most users experienced bluetooth malfunction after flashing CF-Root.

Root it with cf-root and then flash back the stock kernel. Works perfect.

Look for Ramad's stock rooted firmwares in the development section I think. They have stock everything with root, superuser and busybox 19.0. they're also deodexed and zipaligned, they run great.

Check out this app SuperOneClick Root.
Is there a way to root a Sprint Tab without loosing the original rom?
If you're on the stock froyo use superoneclick, if you're on the stock gb (EF17) then, you're limited on ways to get root. Best option for root is oldmacnut's Better than life future echoes v1. The stock rooted rom isn't the best, but it does work for most things.

Looking at your user info, I'm guessing you have a verizon CDMA tab. The CDMA tabs are a little trickier to root than the GSM ones I believe.
Your best bet is to flash a pre-rooted ROM. As they are already rooted, all you have to do it setup odin/heimdall/ROM_manager. That is what I did with my sprint CDMA tab. There should be plenty of rooted ROM's to pick from.
good luck

is there one that is 100% stock
You simply flash a rooted gingerbread kernel. Find Chainfire's CF-Root v3.3 kernel. You flash it through odin.
Thats for gsm i need cdma vzw
