[Q] Pen hovering icon on Gingerbread - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello.
I like very well the pen hovering icon(point),where this points to the position while holding the pen nearby the display, there the stylus will tap. This is a builtin feature in ICS,but from my reasons I want to downgrade to stock GB and I will miss this feature.
Is there a way to get this on GB?
Thanks.

[Q] Question About Samsung Galaxy Note Stylus

Hello. I was just wondering if any of you out there (more specifically the people who own the Galaxy Note) if you know if it is possible to disable the finger touch input on the Galaxy Note when using the stylus? What I mean is, if you were to want to use JUST the stylus and NOT your fingers to navigate around on the Galaxy Note, is there an option that makes that possible or...?
Hopefully you guys understand what I'm trying to get an answer to.
Thanks!
there is no disable option however if you want to navigate your device using the stylus only, this is done pretty easily. The only buttons that you cannot use with the s pen are the hardware back and menu button however Samsung have created the same functions of the back and menu button if you use gestures on the pen i.e. if you keep your finger on the button of the s pen and swipe left on the screen, it acts the same as the back button likewise, if you swipe upwards, it acts like the menu button.
So in other words, what your saying is that the finger touch input will still be enabled even if I use the stylus?

Click to collapse
First of all dont insult it sayin stylus , its S-pen and is way more functional than so called stylus.
I wonder why you want to disable finger touch. if u dont want ur capacitive back button to get pressed when drawing (most of the users were facing it), then let me tell you that newer roms are taking care of that. i.e while drawing if you hit back button, it wont work unless you lift the S pen.
if your requirement is something else, then you can use gloves
If the finger touch won't be disabled when using the S-Pen, then one must not touch or rest his/her palm while using the S-Pen. It would have been more comfortable if the palm could rest the screen while writing. Yes, gloves may be useful here..
Currently ICS and JB TW ROM's have S-note where you can enable palm rejection. But otherwise you cannot disable the touch on your touch screen
When you do some practice you can draw while resting your palm on the screen without touching the menu or back button.. I use to take notes in college only on my fone and it's very much familiar to use spen now

Beerbong is working on palm rejection in pa 3
Or probably he is done

S-Pen issues after JellyBean

Perhaps I'm just being dense and missing some new 'setting' but...
After I installed the latest German Jellybean ROM (stock with Philz Kernel) I seem to have lost some functionality of the S-Pen.
I can (although its very slow) use the S-Pen to lasso a portion of screen capture and send it to an app. I can write with the S-Pen, scroll home screen and tap apps and select text with the S-Pen.
BUT
I can no longer do a screen capture, nor can I get S-Note to open a window, by holding the S-Pen button and making the prescribed gesture or tap.
Any ideas how I get this back?
same here, lost all these functions
Strange. Try to install the same ROM with a full wipe, it may work.

[Q] How to disble hovering for S-Pen on Lollipop Google Keyboard

Hi
i love this Google Lollipop Keyboard, and i use it long time. (Link)
but i have the problem that if i use it with my S-Pen from my Note4, it doubles the keys.
If i hover away with the S-Pen from a Letter like "a" it types again a "a".
So the first "a" on press and second "a" on hover away that makes it imposible to type with the S-Pen on the Keyboard.
Is there a way to disable this "hovering" ?
Is anyone also using the Google Lollipop Keyboard and have not this problem ?

How to use S pen while presenting with projector

Hi,
I'm looking for a way to use S pen in my presentations. I have connected projector via HDMI to Note 8, presenting live android application. Sometimes, I want to draw something on the top of running app. Now, I just use draw on screen function of S pen, which makes screenshot and let me draw on it, which is totally fine. BUT, there appears button like Save, Share etc., which occupies half of screen (when presenting landscape) after one second when I take S pen off the display. So I'm pushed to hold S pen all the time on the screen, in some corner, drawing a dot to prevent showing those buttons.
Do you have idea, how to draw something on screenshot in fullscreen? Without any onscreen options and buttons?
Thanks!
