Has anyone tried using the above mentioned HDTV adapter with the P1000? It's stated as compatible with the 10.1" and 8.9" only but I'm hoping that it might somehow be backwards compatible (esp with the ICS roms that are available nowadays). I know that Samsung sells the HDMI dock for the P1000 but I use mine with a case so it's not an option for me.

Searched around a little more and managed to find this nifty little dock extender for Galaxy Tabs. Looks like I might just get this to go with the P1000 HDMI Dock.

Galaxy Tab HDMI Dock - $35 Shipped @ Amazon

Hey guys,
Just letting you know, in case you were in the market, that the HDMI dock is $35 shipped from amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-ECR-D...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1297451030&sr=8-1
I picked one up, it works great! 40" of Angry Birds is awesome, lol.
The Samsung keyboard is also on sale from amazon for $65
a keyboard which allows for landscape connection should be available.......
hahahahaha adinis I totally agree with you I was just pointing it out
You will need an A to C hdmi cable too to connect the dock to your screen.
Anyone used this HDMI dock? I bought the regular dock for $20 and refund it right away. It was going to damage my tablet due to poor contact and also the sound jack reduced the volume by over 50% while killing completely the bass.
I hope this new model does not have the same issues.
Edit: I see someone else mentioned the bad design issue.
too bad with Gtab design will make any landscape dock impossible, it would be sweat..
also available on amazon.co.uk for £17.99
I just picked this dock up for $15 from amazon.com (US) love the way it sits on my desk now.. just gotta wait and see if the hdmi out via the dock will get fixed in CM7..
Took both the dock and the keyboard, one for home and the other for work. Now if only the Tab 7 had USB host, I would be done for onr year or more....

N900 - Galaxy Tab 7"
Galaxy Tab Desktop Dock
Just picked up a bargain in PC World (Currys) in Sheffield UK,looking through a bargain bin and came across a dock, asked how much and got told £1.97p so I rushed to the till before they changed their minds... Its cost me more (£3.99) to buy the HDMI cable !!! was told the reason was that they didnt do Galaxy Tabs anymore..
Mmmmmmmmm..... chair spinning as I run to PC World
Lol I picked my HDMI dock from Amazon brand new for $16.... you weren't looking hard enough they still have them around 16 to 20 US....
I just bought this one. 15 bucks ain't bad.

Pretty nice. Only gripe I have is that you have to use the usb cable to connect the dock to your compy. I figured it would have came with an extra cable or something, or rather.... I was hoping it would haha
Hey thanks for this!! Really useful!
I have 2 Sprint SPH-100's that I bought used off XDA Marketplace. I can't seem to find any concrete evidence that they would work with HDMI using the supplied Samsung adapter.
Will the SPH-100 work with HDMI out?
One of the tablets is for my son and I thought it would be really slick to get him some emulators and Wiimote setup on this to connect to his TV in his room.
Actually I just found this:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-ECC1TP0BBEGSTA-Galaxy-Tab-Cable/dp/B004DFADZK/ref=pd_sim_e_2
It is Samsung-Composite cable (he has an older tube TV) and I bet it is lacking an HDMI port. Wonder if this would work because this would be perfect... might be worth taking the chance.
[UPDATE]
HDMI Dock $12 Amazon
[UPDATE 2]
After doing some research it appears the P100 supports both HDMI out and Composite. After reading some reviews I decided to purchase these P1000 composite cables per other Tab owners because it is compatible with the P100 and also offers USB charging at the same time. If this successfully works it'll be great!
On the other hand, I see that the Tab has issues with the WiiMotes but shouldn't have any problem with my SixAxis Controller. The PS3 controller will also offer greater amount of gameplay... so it works out in the end.
Composite (Red, White, Yellow) + USB Charging Amazon
Why I don't want this kind of thing is I don't know whether the screen is or isn't being zipped.
I suspect the quality is not actually full HD
Will the Tab 2 7.0 fit in this thing?
this thread is over a year old lol

WiFi Only Tab - HD Dock and Car Adaptor Not Compatible?

I just got my Tab a couple days ago and went to the Samsung site to check what they have for them and found that the vehicle charging adaptor and HDMI dock (as well as the Vehicle Mount) all show as not compatible with the WiFi only (GT-P1010) version of the Tab. Does anyone have any more information than what is shown on the Samsung website? --> "This accessory is not guaranteed to work with your Product."
Beyond that, has anyone with a WiFi GT attempted to use these accessories with their Tab?
Thanks!
.
The GT-P1010 works with the car adaptor.

I think todays big news might explain the lack of HDMI compatibility. Apparently they cheaped out on the graphics chip for the WiFi only version, so I don't think the lower spec'd chip could handle the mirroring.

Unusual HDMI port

I have a HDMI cable that works perfectly in a Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Note II, so I was certain there would be no problem using it on the Galaxy Camera, but it seems to be a proprietary port which is a fraction smaller than a micro USB.
I am a bit angry about this, as it means a (probably expensive) Samsung branded cable needs to be purchased. Considering how expensive the camera is, Samsung should have at least provided one.
The other problem is finding a retailer that sells one. I can't seem to locate one as yet.

Hi there, with regards to the HDMI port on the Samsung Galaxy Camera, I believe it is using a standard micro-HDMI sized connector. These ports have been in use on Android devices for a while now so you should be able to pick one up for a reasonable price rather easily. Here is an example of a cable that should work: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Micro-HDMI-...=US_Video_Cables_Adapters&hash=item1e6125af08
Good luck in your hunt!

Thanks for the info, I guess I was so used to a phone's multi use Micro USB socket I forgot that the camera has a separate HDMI socket and that it's pretty much standard! Doh!
I shall now buy a cheap one off eBay.
Thanks again.
I bought on ebay an HDMI cable compatible with GS2 and Note, but with gCam does not work. Does anyone know tell me a compatible model, tried in person? Thanks

I know that Samsung HDMI cable are not compatible betwwen S2/Note and S3. I believe Note 2 and Galaxy Camera use same new format that S3 and it's probably why it doesn't work for you. but not 100% Sure.

Samsung uses 3 different types of connectors in their devices.
there's the regular mhl connector used in the note 1 and S2 which I think is a 6pin connector.
The note 2 and S3 use a Samsung mhl connector which has 11 pins and also allows you to use usb for sync/data transfer while outputting video.
and there's the regular old standard micro sized HDMI port which is used in the galaxy camera.
It's a tiny little port next to the battery, which requires a $0.50 adapter plug to get a full sized HDMI cable plugged in, or you can just use a cable with HDMI micro on one end and full sized HDMI on the other.

USB C to HDMI Hub

I'm looking at different hubs to allow the tablet to be displayed on a TV or monitor while also charging the tablet. Samsung's official adapter is pricey and a lot of the reviews I found say it doesn't charge the device it is hooked up to. Can anyone recommend a hub that works well with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6?

Something I need cuz my TV doesn't do 'cast' very well, if at all.
There are some suggestions in the S4 forum that may also work on the S6.
I may get this one
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07J45WRVX/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A19UZI6QRL56O2&psc=1
I ended up purchasing this one. It works and it's relatively cheap. It just doesn't have a USB A port for plugging in a mouse or flash drive. The tablet does charge while it is connected.
