This morning my calendar app (the default calendar, samsung galaxy s) stopped working, cudn't read the storage.
Cleared data (calendar storage) ---> calender works.
Imported events from backup prog --> calendar has events
BUT:
contacts birthdays NOT shown, and this "birthday calendar" does NOT appear as an option in the list of calendars under settings.
Birthdays of contacts DOES appear when surfing to GMail calendar and on phone sync is on.
Any idea on how to get those optional calendars (same problem also on Jewish holidays) back?

I have two calendars on my phone, one is the google calendar and the other is called 'exchange' that I imported and kept saving events under.
First issue I had was that the 'exchange' calendar wasn't updating on my google calendar, so I tried switch some of my exchange events to the google calendar but I don't get the pull-down option when in the event edit mode.
Any clue what's going on or how I can go about fixing this issue?

I am not able to Sync the Calendar on the phone (Samsung Galaxy S) with Google calendar.
its possible to disabling the Calendar on the phone and use only the calendar fromm google acount.

Are you sure sync with agenda is checked under your google account!
I don't think it's possible to sync the "mycalendar" with your google calendar.
You need to choose "google calendar" manually when creating events.
I hope someone brings a hack out soon that will make the google calendar the default one instead of the useless built-in one.
Mauve u ave already donne it....but ave u triade to' configure exchange mail with the server : m.Google.com and than select to' sync calendar?

What happens if you go to Calander, press Menu -> Settings -> Calanders and then deselect My Calander?

It only displays your google calendar but when making a new event you still have to select your google calendar unless it won't sync the event.

I have a simmilar problem. I cant figure out how to sync my facebook events with the my calendar. Or to sync them with the google calendar. Anyone ever tried this?
I sync my calender with google calender but I noticed only one month of my calender event were shown in my S Planner. From my google calender, I still can see my old calender event (older then a month). Is there any setting that I have missed out in my Note? I want all my calender event to be shown in my S Planner. I have "Contacts Birthday's and Events" calendar subscribed in my Gmail and I maintain the birthday dates of all my contacts in Gmail [format: December DD, YYYY]. In HTC calendar [Accounts] i checked the Google option and in that i checked "Contacts Birthday's and Events" option, which takes the birthdays dates from my Gmail contacts and sets reminders and notifications. But I am not able to see any notifications from the calendar.
Now, i have another option in HTC Calendar Accounts called "People (Birthdays & Anniversaries)" and i have no idea where this option came from and from where it takes the birthday data from but it displays the birthdays. The annoying thing is when an event is about to occur this People thing displays 4 reminders for the same event, which is irritating.
I want to know where this People option came from and from where its taking the data and why the hell cant i see the Gmail contacts birthdays through the "Contacts Birthday's and Events" option??? :crying:

I have a problem with the default app calendar, it don't syncing with google calendar, i go to settings and i tried to sync but however it don't syncing, when i reboot the smarthphone it go the first time and stop. Then what can do ?

Do you have your Google account added to the phone? : "settings - accounts"
In the calendar app, verify under "settings - calendars to display - calendars to sync" if all the calendars are checked
If all else fails: try an alternative app from the Playstore: Today, Google Calendar and Digical are good alternatives
By default the event is stored in phone.
When adding something, select GOOGLE account.
In google account, the calendar is checked, but it don't sync always, i need to reboot and after it syncing one time and stop, or it syncing sometimes by itself.
