Sound from speaker is not coming

On my galaxy s suddenly sound stop working wheater it is music player, games... Even some games video not playing at starting. Sound on my headphone work properly.
I thought may be my speaker got destroyed but i have notice at one time my pon hang theb start and after that all things get normal means sound for some short time.
Any idea how to get speaker work again?

If you have not modified your FW, directly take it to service centre. If you have modified, download the DDKB2 and flash it. Then take it to service centre. You will find the FW in the sticky post by krrazzy here at development section for I9003 on stock firmwares. But just be careful, act wise and don't let them blame you for physical damage. It is not covered under warranty.

[Q] Booting problem

Last Sunday I tried to update my S5830's firmware, from Froyo to Gingerbread, but I accidentally used the wrong firmware. The firmware was for a Samsung I5510. My phone won't start up or boot into recovery or download. The lights of the back button and menu button are faint. Is there anything I can do to fix my phone?:crying:

Only JTAG or Sammy Service Center!
Flashing Of The kernel Changed Mounting Points To Inexistent Ones Therefor Your Phone Doesnt Turn On! Sorry theres no "easy Way"

If you have a JTAG you can. It isn't recommended since Samsung service centers can do this for you.

If you are in warranty then you're lucky.
Show it to your samsung service center. If they can't solve it, there's hardly any chance of getting your phone back.

Yeah, I brought it again at another Samsung Service Center and they said that the motherboard has a problem. I smell something lazy at the service center. How much is the JTAG?

I've searched once (a long time ago) and it was something like US$150. Here on Brazil, if the company doesn't repair your product within 30 days, they HAVE to give you a new product or refund your money. Check with your local laws to see if something like this apply, it might be the best solution if the Sammy Service Center is too lazy and take too much time.

A friend of mine's dog dropped my S3 Mini from my hands, and it made a scratch on the phone's housing.
Is there some way to change it?

You can change the back cover with a metallic one (I've seen dozens for S3, surely they are also made for the mini)
Just search google images for "galaxy s3 metallic cover"

Got the idea of this thread from nexus 4 forums, i thought we should also share our experiences about this.
Well, I actually saw only 2 times, someone else also using sgm, one is my friend and another in a cyber café a guy was using there, he was using stock gb lol

It's a very common phone in Hungary. I saw about 50 guys with it. All running stock GB or Froyo (people still use froyo here WTF), except for one guy who had official CM7.

i feel really bad for them...

i have seen dozens of people with galaxy mini running go launcher :laugh::laugh:
but more prominent one is galaxy ace :cyclops:

i saw many people using mini maybe like 20-30 people.. i also rooted and installed custom roms for them coz i just couldn't see them running froyo :angel:

Uh... 10-20 times in phone shop. All of them running Froyo, and one Hipster girl is running CM10.1 (i guess, but i see she is pulling down the statusbar and it's really look like CM10.1).

there are only 3 people have mini on my campus, me and 2 others. 1 using froyo, 1 cmx and now I revert back to emanon..

Dint find any yet. But a guy travelling in a bus with me wanted to know which phone I was using after he saw the CM7 CRT animation from my phone. Guy looked pretty shocked.

Oh, i remember, some months ago my charger was damaged somehow so when i ran out of battery and tried connecting charger, mini gave no response, i thought my battery is gone, so i went to care center and asked for new battery, but when they tryied with their charger it started charging.
Then the guy there started to show me that device is all right, by switching it on
Then what he saw was completely shocking for him, first he saw that splash screen, device name written galaxy mini written instead of galaxy pop (in india)
He asked me if i imported the device lol
Then when he saw the bootanim he was again shocked, i was using nexus bootanim that time, he asked me what's this? A nexus? Lolz
I said i just changed the bootanimation, he looked confused
Then what he saw was completely out of his mind, it was cm10.1
He didnt evn recognised android 4.2 and tryied to unlock it like other devices touch and slide anywhere on screen. He saw completely different ui, blue battery icon asked me which os is this, i showed him android 4.2.2 in about phone
Then what i did was, ran out of there to my home back before he asked me anything more, but at last i told him, dont worry u wont understand

Dude same thing happened with me also.. i was using cm7 last yr in my mini n i wanted to get back to stock rom.so went to samsung centre and i told him to flash official rom. n after checking my mobil he asked me about 10 questn that how to flash rom and how to root what is mean by root.. i was like ohh my god!

Galaxy mini is also well-known in my region..Till now,I haven't met a single guy who doesn't use stock GB Rom...I hope they will have a chance to understand the CM benefits

Don't go tp cc for flashing stock they don't know what flashing is
All they will do is, connect ur phone via kies, since custom rom don't get detected by kies it won't work
They will then tell u some useless things (they have to tel u something at last) like u need to get new motherboard cuz usb port not Woking and blah blah, they dont know wat odin is
You are on xda, who needs customer care when we can care everything by ourselves

i hardbricked my phone when flashing. my first hardbrick over 2 years.
anyway. i sent to service. i suppose they cant see custom rom counter. and repair.

I've read your previous post. Seems like you had flash a lot, at least 10 flashes right? Had you ever reset your flash count? Like using Triangle away?
I don't know if the centre can reboot to system, but even by using USB JIG, you can reach download mode, which will show flash count and device status(official or custom).
But if only they can get to download mode. So lets hope they wont.

hope my motherboard fried lol. but as far as i know when they put that jig. count resets. lets hope for best. or im stuck with lg optimus sol for a while. damn i miss my phone

Not sure if all device will reset the count when using Jig, but it didn't on s3 mini, s4, and galaxy grand duos. I have 1, home made, tried on those phone. It work, just didn't reset the bin count. But maybe its different from the phone centres Jig. Lets hope your board totally fried.

they sending back without repairing it. as i espect atleast there is no problem on hardware. can usb jig wake up phone to download mode? i found one and want to buy.

Sure it can, thats the only thing it can do actually.
If the centre can wake your phone, I believe jig would work in it. Lucky you.

yeah. i dont want to buy a new phone. i found a usb jig works on s2 s3 note note2 etc. is there a chance to work on s3 mini too?

AFAIK it will works, as long the resistor is in the phone range(mine is 300ohm) it'll work on s3 mini. Take you straight to Download mode.

after 2-3 weeks. i finally got my s3mini back alive. official service didnt do anything(shame) and i took it to a unofficial service with jtag. they ressurrected my s3mini. btw usb jig didnt work.
im finally back to the xda comm. gonna try 12.1
