WOW! That was completely impossible to understand. But I'll give it a shot. It sounds like you're having a Note repaired or are shopping for a new one? And that you are worried it won't support HSPA+ or be upgradeable to ICS? If that is indeed the case, fear not. The Note supports GPRS, EDGE, & HSPA data and is readily upgradeable to ICS via OTA or MobileODIN if you're impatient. I hope this helps ease your mind. Best of luck!

At last! it really is true despite reduced after repair and was not working properly as do not want 3G and very hard to receive and is only CDMA. Then I made complaints about 3 weeks now waiting for repair resubmit so I do not! bleached they have offered to repair that Vodafone Samsung present have just checked that whitens 3G modem cable is loose and not securely closed even sent erroneous repair.
Previously Board is broke and new replacement board, but 3G is cable loose and not locked in oged.
Now he works normal again and finally Kingdroid twist.
close late here.
I am assuming that you are using an online language translator, cuz your post is almost impossible to understand.
Please tell us your problem in your native language. Maybe there's somebody here who speaks your language and could translate it for us.
Good luck

Hi i live i pakistan which is located in Asia
I bought my galaxy note few weeks ago
Here in pakistan there are almost 5 carriers or network providers(sim)
And i cam go to any shop in pakistan buy a note and put any simcard in it and use the device. And thats exactly what i did.
after researching about the unit i own I found out i own a galaxy note gt7000 which is made in italy(europe) and runs 2.3.6 ITV something ginger bread out of the box
So my question is will i be getting the ics depending on my geographical location which is pakistan(asia)
OR
Will i get the update when its been released in italy throigh OTA or KIES?
Remember i can use any simcard for my note so i dont think theres a carrier issue here. Common sense says i wud get it wen its released in italy but i still want confirmation plzz
And wen will ics be coming to italyyyyy? ??

Hi guys,
Recently, I purchased an Unlocked Galaxy Note N7000 at J&R NYC. As there is no unlocked U.S. Model, the O.S. that came was Chinese or Korean. I checked the label behind the battery and I concluded the model was from some Asian country. Ok, after some time the screen along with the digitizer broke and I had to purchase a new one (as Samsung Brazil don't fix models from other countries not even paying for the repair).
I purchased one officially from Brazil that is also a Galaxy Note N7000.
I feel it strange though. I seems slower, the screen sometimes lags when scrolling and I don't remember this lag from my previous one.
The question is, can they have different hardware ? Both are N7000, one from China/Korean and the other from Brazil.
Thank you and best regards,
Amid
I can't say for certain, but I know there are different versions of the firmware for each region which could account for the differences you are observing, at least in part.
If they're both N7000 model than they have the same hardware ( unless one of them is a fake, which i'm sure it is not ). Any differences might be caused by firmware though. You'd have to flash the same stock or custom rom on both of them and then check.
Thank you guys. So, this also implies that the digitizer is the same for both so if I can purchase one digitizer from Samsung Brazil it will work in the other one, correct ?

Yes, you are correct
I've not rooted my phone and I did buy it from UK Amazon and admittedly I found that it was imported from Spain since the box is in Spanish. I've yet to receive Ice Cream Sandwich and now I see people are being updated to Jelly Bean. Is this normal?
No your not the only one still on Gingerbread. A lot depends who your network provider is.
If you are using international version of galaxy note than you can download the latest firmware for it and flash it via PC Odin
Search for firmware on google

I've got the GT-N7000 so I don't believe it's international. Thank you for responding though! I contacted Samsung about it and they said because my phone is from a different country that the UK may be having problems pushing the update forward. They told me to contact my local Samsung engineer so I phoned one, and they said they don't even handle that kind of thing because they don't have the facilities :/ They said something like Anova handles that and gave me a number for that. It just seems very complicated just to get an update. I wondered if rooting would be best but I've read about the problem of permanent bricking so I am very hesitant since I am a complete noob to that lol. I know there are topics on this so rooting my phone so I won't bore you with that, I'm just worried about the dangers of bricking it.
I thought I should add that my baseband version is n7000ubkk1
Sounds like you will just need to update via Odin. Other idea might be to change the CSC code of the phone to UK but i am not 100% on how to do that if i am honest.
Out of interest could you not send it back to Amazon and ask for a UK 1 unless you got this one much cheaper as Carphonewarehouse etc are doing Note for £450 and Amazon £400 from the quick search i done. I would rather spend the extra cash and have a warranty etc from a local store.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini that was brought to me because the user was experiencing trouble connecting to the T-mobile network. There would be cell service for about an hour, after which all service would be lost. The problem is reported to have started after performing an update a few weeks ago, which the user thinks was a firmware update. Now, the phone receives no cell service at all. I should also add that the phone was purchased through Groupon, and because of that they were told (by T-mobile) that they'd have to send the phone to China if they want it fixed.
Now this is where it starts getting pretty complicated. First, I tried checking the phone's IMEI number on imei.info. The result shows a Motorola W375 flip phone, not the Galaxy S3. I'm not sure what this means. Secondly, the model number of the phone is GT-I8200L which means that it's for the Latin American market. But it was working for 2 months, so I'm guessing it's not an issue with the hardware?
I'm pretty tech-savvy, but I'm by no means an expert when it comes to fixing phones, so I have no idea what to do at this point. The phone doesn't appear to be unlocked, since my (non-T-mobile) SIM card doesn't work. I'm finding lots of articles for things like "flashing firmware" and whatnot, but I don't know whether this would help. Maybe it's a lost cause at this point?
I'd greatly appreciate any help!
Its a known problem with a Samsung update! There must be a new OTA update from Samsung! Try this!

Thanks for your reply! But there seems to be no new updates. It says that the latest updates are already installed. The Android version is 4.2.2.
Where you from?

I'm in the US (Hawaii, to be more exact)
Try to flash an older firmware from Samsung

Need to know what provider/country you are using it in.
Most likely you need to install the correct CSC pack for your local provider.
Hello Kalm_Traveler,
Thanks for reply, the operator of my phone is KT i guess its Korea Telecom, so as i get from your words, that i need to install international Rom then install CSC which would work on my service provider, im using Vodafone Egypt now, but will this solution break anything on phone other than warranty of course
You don't technically need a different ROM but yes, need to root and flash Vodafone Egypt CSC.
Nothing will break besides warranty because Knox will be 0x1
You can use any Exynos Note 8 ROM if you want because the N950N and N950F are identical hardware
Thank you soo much
