Flashlite working on GT540

First of all you have to got to have clockwork recovery installed ! Also I will recommend to enable JIT on 2.1 you can find instructions here here Thanks to Quartx from 4pda.ru
Download THIS filles to the root of your SD card
Next you must install flashupdate_signed.zip try recovery. You can find the file HERE
After that install FlashPlugin.apk and reboot your device.
I haven't tested it fully but it certainly show all flash contents from the web pages and also can play some videos from the pages ( Remember this is only flash lite )
And most important I DON'T TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR BRICKING YOUR DEVICE
This has been tested on my device and its working fine.

One step is 'put it in the root of your sd card', I don't have a folder named 'root'. Do I have to create a folder?

That means directly onto the SD card.

Works but it only shows adds... most of the vids can't be played.

What version of android are you using?? If you are using 2.2 version it doesn't work. Else you can try factory reset and install flashupdate_signed.zip and FlashPlugin.apk again.

Im using Rom for Poland with fastboot 2.1
i did a factory reset, installed flashupdate_signed.zip and FlashPlugin.apk again and still not working;\

Does anybody know if these flash lite files will work with the newest cm 2.2.1 v 4.3

but i guess you will need to install plugin

Will these operations work for a device with the same processor? myTouch Slide to be precise. We have flash lite working only on Sense ROMs, so I wonder how woult it work without HTC frameworks.

Its Good that your curious but the flash on the sense roms is way better than this. Pull HTC resources from sense and pull the plugin from sense rom?

I'm not using a Sense ROM, that's why I am curious about getting flash lite. I'm on CM7.

I'm a bit noob to do that, just not sure what files need to be pulled. But I really want flash lite on CM7, so I'll do some research.

Am assuming that the update.zip adds the required framework.

Flash lite is a slimmed down version of the flash player that only plays some content and works on arm v6 processors

Cant install eclair X8 stock messaging

Hi xda and users,
Is it possible to install it somehow?ive got the message.apk stock eclair from the orginal x8,but ive tried direct install but it says "application not installed".do i have to like push it to the system and do the permission thing?
Using Gingercruzt 7.4 currently

Maybe you'll have to unistall the current messaging app and install the eclair one, but dont be so sure it'll work. It was made for 2.1 so make a backup just in case.

That app requires SE framework to run, so someone would need to port it... Its same for all other apps from other phones..

Is there any downloadable sense 2.1 Rom there? Because I want use the stock Android music player with his widget and control on the lockscreen. Widgetlocker is too laggy for me.

There is a sticky thread in the Development section with all of the different ROMs that are available. You should be able to find the Sense 2.1 stock, rooted version there. It was based on 2.30.405.1 WWE version.

I found enough but they all uploaded by our dead Megaupload/Multiupload :/

Really, i love it. Bit i cant use the widget in another launcher. In Sense 2.1 the stock music works for every launcher and the lock.
I hate Sense Stock launcher, I feels for me uncomfortable.

I did not know that. Would flashing a system partition from an ruu work? Or even ripping the music app out of one?

mike1986 says it is sense 2.1 with 3.0 interface. Think he means the settings/UI, meaning the apks should probably still be 2.1? Can't confirm that.
I've attached the stock music apks from the Bell release, .28 RUU if you want to experiment with replacing the music APK's in /system/app on a Sense 3+ rom. I have deodexed them so they should work with any rooted deodexed stock roms, if you need the odexed versions let me know.

you can also use an app called spare parts. change window animations and transition animations to fast and it tends to stop them

thanks but ive already tried the .zip file so i will try the other method and report back,
and can u help as ive tried all roms for the salsa and some work with facebook app and some dont
also i dont know how ive managed it with this rom in the thread but when i install it it dosent install the apps from the data/app folder on the rom and the maps app wont update either, i had tried to use cygwin and the kitchen to remove the crt thing but never made the .zip or flased that i just downloaded the rom again but even wiping the flash card still dosent install them
but basically what i would like to know is if it is possible to port the dialer the people app the gallery messages and camera music apps from sense 3.5 to a iconic sense 2.1 rom without crt and im not fussed about boot
rom but kinda like the 1 from the rom in this thread

no its not possible
What your trying to accomplish is a nightmare.
The facebook app will work with most of our roms just not sense 3.5. If your referring to the apps that are Inc in the 3.5 rom data, have you made a ext3 partition? This tends to be why. What script did you flash with the rom if any.
Iconic is old and cumbersome and persoanlly I would upgrade and not use them.
Stay away from sense 3.5 due to the app/cache problems that come with it.
We have tried porting apps and such from other roms with fail. Some do work but come with fc after time and isn't worth the hassle it gives.

i think then your not wiping the sections correctly or the phone isn't and when installing its not installing the data part into the device. do you have ext3 present?

Stock app removal/debloat???

I'm on stock tmobile 4.1.2 running faux 4.2.2 kernel (don't ask me how, but it works) and I'm trying to uninstall stock apks from the system/apps folder and they all keep reappearing after boot. What's up with that?

Tbh, you're best off finding a stock custom ROM like ARHD, and deleting all apps you don't want, out of the ROM before you flash it ... By far the easiest way to have a stock ROM but without all the bloatware. I think the problem either lies with permissions or with a stock ROM being odexed. I'm not 100% on that though so don't hold me to it lol, but others have problems deleting system apps. I'm running ARHD, slimmed down to less than 480mb with Mods and tweaks incorporated, same with themed apps so that all I have to do is install the ROM and I have my Mods, themed stuff and bloat free Sense, all in one.
