VC or CM or SC - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Do you use any of the color tweaks above?
VC=voodoo color;
CM=cm color;
SC=stock color;
Found today some really cool settings for VC color but when I lock the phone a green tint appears.

yup it will appear if green bar value is less then -27(for almost all the phone?)....check the minimum value of green bar till where that green tint appears...i guess it should be -27....check it out...and yup voodoo color is cool...
edit:green value should be more then -25 as far as my cell is concerned...but on cm7 i had -50 without any tint or something...

Stock.
- Why?
- Less compliment.

Enable CRT-Off animations (search for them), it fixed the green tint problem for me back when I had Voodoo Colour + JW4 installed

[Q] Why is the color picker on android so useless?

I tried to change the bar color on cyanogenmod 6.1 RC1 I wanted to have a nice dark orange bar but.... it's impossible. It's impossible to choose orange to begin with because the color wheel goes from red to black to white then to yellow. This doesn't make any sense! And you can't choose the brightness of the color just the alpha.
Why the color picker has to be so useless? Can it be replaced with something more useful like RGB sliders or even better HSL sliders?
Unfortunately I'm not a programmer so I can't tell if it's doable or not.
+1
Its crap!
One of the older trackball alert style apps had a grid that was much better, but I can't remember which it was now...

[Q] Question about Purple Glass Cyanogen Mod Froyo 2.2 color settings

Hello,
I installed this on my wife's CDMA Hero because she really likes purple.
I have went into the Cyanogen settings menu, under User Interface and Notification colors and changed every setting I can find, and I still cannot get the notification texts to display white on purple.
I've changed:
Notification ticker color
Notification count color
No notification title color
Clear notifications label color
Ongoing notifications title color
Latest notifications title color
Items title color
Items text color
Items time color
None of these has changed the actual text inside the notification bar that you pull down.
What am I doing wrong here? I know the directions when loading the custom color ROM's stated you would have to change these colors for greater visibility, but, I think I have covered everything here.
I have even tried to download new items since making these changes and the new items are not showing up in the new color either.
Thanks.
Nevermind.
Found out that a reboot of the phone turned the text white.
Not sure which setting did the trick, so I'm not changing anything.
Thanks.
It wasn't a setting, you have to reboot to see your changes. Glad you got it though

Don't believe so. But that is easily changed within the build.prop

[Q] Color icon for Status Bar?

Is there a way to change the on/off color from white and green to something more darker like dark Blue? many a times it is hard to see if it is pressed or not due to the similarity for HD2 SD Android.

Do u mean the colour of on/off status in power widgets when openning status bar?

5.1 LP - change notifications panel text color?

Hey,
Im looking for an option to change one or several of the following options:
- change quick settings font color in notification panel
- change font color of app notifications
- set background color for app notifications only, not quick settings background
take a look at this screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/KnWq2s1.png
I want to keep the blurred style with 100% transparency for the quick settings background. But the black text from app notifications is hard to read sometimes, so I would like to change that to white. If that's not possible, make quick settings font black as well. If that's not possible, add a white background to app notifications only.
I can't find anything how to do that. Hope somebody can help me out.
edit: SOLVED
wow, after searching for hours with no result, I found something shortly after I made this thread. I used this to achieve this
so you used this to change the background of the notifications from white to match your selected notification background? I have been trying to figure out how to make the notification background not white...

Well, yeah, I changed the notification background color with LPThemer, but that's not what this post was about and I did it because of another reason. I was just looking for something that allows me to change text color of notifications, because the default black looks ****ty with transparency. It's default black because the default background is white. I used Blurred System UI to make the background transparent as well as add the blurred effect. Then I used LPThemer to change notification text color to white. Then I noticed notifications background was still white (not transparent) in Lock Screen, but the text color remained white. It's hard to read white on white so I used LPThemer to change the background to a half-transparent black. This background is only displayed in lock screen though.

Sweet I think I'm going to do almost the exact thing you did because I can't stand the white background on notifications blinding me at night... Plus it just looks bad. Good to know I can change the font to color to something legible. Good job
Help me
