I need to replace htc kaiser (Kaiser 130 if this matter) usb but i dont know USB product code. Can someone post it here?
Thanks in advance!
If you mean the USB port on the bottom of the handset, it is part of the flex cable and cannot be bought separately. Flex cables are usually less than $100US.

Indeed it can be replaced. It's a part made by a Taiwanese connector manufacturer Acon (www.acon.com) and if you look on the service manual (accessible through links on the wiki) page 92 shows the connector as Con5 and part no MJE21-11K7P20. Good luck finding someone to supply it but your countries agents for Acon may be a place to start. There are also companies that offer a USB socket replacement service where they do all the work as well as supply the part. Search the USB port failure related threads here for details as their name escapes me.
i have been using my motorola razr charger on my tilt and now its loose and wont charge right, my oem tilt charger still works. anyone else experience this?

Hi,
I don't know where's re located, but many people in the US had very good experience with some companies specialised in PDA reparation. You may want to make a forum search for "broken usb" or similar.
can someone please post on their experience and where is the best place to get the USB connector for the att Tilt, possibly post a tutorial or youtube video on how to do it?
my solution!
hi from germany,
actually i had the same problem with the kaiser a few weeks ago and i searched the whole internet for the usb connector in order to replace my broken one. NO CHANCE!
I call HTC Germany and HTC USA and they were not able to tell me the specifications of the connector. One thing i can say for sure. HTC is NOT! using a standardized USB connector as it is built in other devices (nokia n95, motorola razr etc.).
My solution was: I ordere a display-damaged HTC Tytn 1 and gave it to an electrician who did his job well. He replaced my Kaiser USB connector.
Pretty annyoing, but it worked for me.
Much success to you1
The story is that my SIM/SD-CARD board went due to water damage some 8 months or so ago.
I sent it to a distributor that supports HTC products but they said the N1 was not a product on their list.
I am thinking rather than having this brick that can't read SIM or SD-Cards, I would prefer it working and give it to my child. I know both the mic and phone listening points work.
So I am wondering if I can tell the HTC distributors to replace the SIM/SD-CARD board on my N1 with an HTC Desire one (which they support) at my own risk if it does not work? I know the phones have similarities. But is this board one of them?
In the meanwhile I am getting myself ready for a DIY by looking at ifixit.com.
edit - that must be some of the worst threat title work

Hello,
I live in India. I bought an HTC One from a seller on ebay, who has imported the phone from Hong Kong.
Few days ago, the phone's charging port stopped functioning properly. I took the phone to HTC Service Center to get the port repaired. But the repair person at the service center says that as the phone is from out of India, the charging port is not compatible with the one he has in stock.
He says he can put it in, but it may cause issues.
Can anyone please give me advice about this? What difference do connectors have and what issues can be caused due to this? The service centre guy says he cant say what issues may occur, anything may go wrong because of it...
Im sorry I know its a trivial question but I hoped that if anyone has any hardware knowledge about this, they could help me take a decision whether i should put in the "non-compatible" charging connector.
Thanks in advance

The charging connector is universal. Did you speak to the service rep or the technician?
Edit: are they doing it for free??

No, they are charging some amount, i guess some Rs. 500 or so
I spoke to the technician..
Try aftermarket repair there are also good technician can help you charging points are now same for all companies at least HTC won't use two different types

I'd say, don't go to an aftermarket technician. If HTC is taking only 500, get it done there. At least they'll disassemble and reassemble the phone the right way. Also, aftermarket parts aren't the same quality as the ones HTC will give you. I've bought an LCD assembly aftermarket, and there is a noticeable difference, between OEM and that (although it is 100% genuine, it just isn't as good)

I was considering taking it to an aftermarket repair centre but I had concerns about the way they handle the housing...unfortunately the HTC One is so difficult to open without damaging its outer body

So there wont be any issue about the non compatible charging port right? I will ask HTC guy to put it in then.

Hello there,
I just got my HTC One XL from ebay and I have some questions.
1. Does HTC One XL have this problem too? HERE
2. How should I do the first charge? Should I use my new cellphone first and wait to the battery discharge in order to make a full charge of 7 hours?
Thank you!

you are in the wrong forum, here is the htc one M7 forum. your forum is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-x-att
but I already owned a one X so I can answer your 2 questions
1. Newer batch of htc one x doesn't suffer from the wifi issue. Anyway I think that the XL variant never suffered from that issue. If this happen to you, you can repair it by yourself easily (I did on mine), you have to remove the back casing of the phone, locate the wifi contacts on the PCB and very delicately pry boths contacts upward so they touch the antenna firmly when you put back the cover.
2. Its recommended you do a full charge (100%) once before you use the phone, however I never did it neither to my One X or my One M7 and never experienced battery issues.
I just broke the headset that came with my M8, and was looking for a replacement, the problem is that nobody sells the original ones from HTC, not even HTC, I can only find fake ones in amazon.
If anyone know were can I get the original ones please tell me.
I also saw the new HTC active headset, but I can't find any review or anything. Does anyone have them? Are they good compared to the M8 headset(black and red)???
You know you can use any headset with the M8 right? You can probably find better headsets for cheaper than the HTC headsets, which I read are rebranded Beats.
