the Canadian Virgin Mobiles uses 850/1900 just like Bell (since Virgin is owned by Bell in Canada)
They still have 900/2xxx functionality...

i9000m frequencies
850/900/1800/1900 - 2g gsm
850/1900/2100 - 3g+ wcdma
so as you see it will fully work there.
thanks guys..i appreciate it.

[Q] difference between lg thrill an optimus 3D

Is there a difference between the 2 phones.I thought it was another name but why there're 2 forums?
+ I will buy an unlocked thrill will it be necessary to reunlock the SIM each time I flash a ROM? and should I choose only thrill ROMs-not O3D?

because one was released in the UK and one in the US.
and no.
very much the same. only different is the 3g baseband.
thrill has 850, 1900
o3d p920 has 2 versions: 1. 900 / 1900 / 2100
2. 850 / 1700 / 2100
check your phone provider baseband use so that you buy the right one to get 3g/4g

I thought the Thrill has 850/1900/2100 WCDMA band and the O3D has 900/2100 WCDMA band. O3D will not work with US 3G but Thrill will work with Eu/Asia 3G.

you are right about thrill with 850/1900/2100

for some reason phone arena post different lacking 2100
http://www.phonearena.com/phones/LG-Thrill-4G_id5327
i am sorry about that
as for o3d, i have a version that has 850 / 1700 / 2100 and confirm it works with u.s 3g/4g tmobile
They are the same except one is made for Europe the other for ATT USA. You can use both roms interchangeably.

[Q] Supported band for the UK version

Guys, a bit of a dumb question but can't find the regional specs anywhere
Any idea what bands are supported by the HTC One UK version?
In particular, will it work in Japan W-CDMA Band 1 (2100MHz) or Band 6 (800MHz) ?
Cheers!
/lys
Just look at the specs on the UK HTC site...

well, the Vivid only supports these frequencies for LTE: 700 (band 17), 1700/2100 (band 4) MHz
So, I'm pretty sure you'll only get hspa+ speeds. Still, 21 Mbps or 42Mbps is pretty fast (21 for the 1900 MHz, 42 for 1700/2100 MHz). This is besides the problem of configuring your phone to use the radio frequencies correctly.
