Hi everyone, I have already managed to remove the boot animation on stock ICS, it was located in system/media and it was a .qmg file. But I can't find the annoying boot sound file. Does anyone know where it is or how to make my Note silent while booting?

I don't have a bootsound on my Note, but it should be in /system/media/audio/ui
Thanks for your reply, but it's not there..

Finally I found it! It was in system/etc/PowerOn.ogg

you can get a working copy of it from jrummy's rom toolbox app
Does it have the audio?

If your referring to the "bios" boot animation in rom toolbox it is not the right one.

That shouldn't be possible if you have done everything correctly with correct files. No errors during flash?
During boot-up, how far it goes? Kernel splash, bootanimation?

No errors, that's why I'm here asking for help.
Stuck at the 'Samsung galaxy I9000' guess it's the kernel screen?

Ah. Just noticed your tapatalk signature..you're using gt-i9100 ? If so, then you have definitely been flashing wrong roms..search for the correct sub-forum from XDA and get correct files
Edit: stupid me..if your phone doesn't boot..Then you probably ain't posting with it just ignore this post..

Try my recovery kit if you like, unzip it and read the .txt first,
http://db.tt/MOGZx01S
Just remember it can take up to 10 minutes to boot up after a flash
What does it mean, you're recovery kit?
Any explanations before downloadin?

It contains ezodin, ezbase GB ROM jvu, and cf root kernel, and.pit file also my instructions. the ez bits are just slimmed versions of stock Odin and stock jvu , so if you follow instructions you will be on the GB ROM with root and cwm, so from there you can flash what you want (following ROM specific instructions obviously!)
Has any one got the apk or zip file of gtalk as ive installed cassies slim rom and forgot to select gtalk thanks

Change Log
v1.1 2012-10-12
Workaround for battery drain issue:
'service bootanim' and 'service samsungani' must both be enabled in init.rc and bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg must also be present. These animations will load along side bootanimation.zip and you may even see them for a split second upon boot up. Currently looking for a way around this.

No speed on the kernel.. Only a boot.img
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Xparent ICS Tapatalk 2
It's a stock kernel with init.d, adb root, and custom bootanimation.zip support. No OC. That's hopefully next.
cool..

Hello guys,
Is possible to change the current XT890 boot animation for the new one (MotoX and MotoG)?
I think the new boot animation is awesome!
Yes it is easy to do. Replace the bootanimation.zip in the system/media folder with the one u like. It is possible that u need to resize all the pictures in the zip to the format of our phone to get it nice on the screen.
