[Q] How can you overcome the rising bell sounds? - LG Optimus Black

I would like to ask how to set the incoming call is ringing, do not be rising, but all had to ring the phone?

I use Cm7, and there is no option for asscending, my phone always rings at the volume set.

Att TILT doesn't ring. Please help =(

I have a Tilt, I unlocked and changed the radio and also the rom.
The Rom version is 3.29.707.0 WME
Radio version 1.65.20.29
Protocol 25.88.40.04H
The rom is L26_Kaiser_Diamond_V5_3.29.707_HB
All works, I can make calls, photo, 3g. But when someone calls me the telephone doesn't ring or vibrate. On the screen it tells me that someone is calling but no noice o vibration.
But when I go to Noice and notification and I play the sound the telephone rings and vibrates.
Ring type: Vibrate and ring
Ringtone Ring-Innovation.
What can I do to solve this problem? Thanks!
A. flash a new ROM. This is a common bug in that ROM.
B. Read the thread about L26 instead of wasting a new thread.
C. Post this question in the thread about this ROM?
D. Don't flash any more ROM's until you appreciate reading.

Is the phone volume turned up?
I turned it completely down and sounds will still play through the notifications settings.

Thanks for your answer! I am flashing with Dutty's Diamond V1 Build 19588
When it finish i tell you the news =)
Thanks!
I have came across the problem before (once or twice a week), for some odd reason some times when I have used my bluetooth headset it will try to send all sound (music, tones, rings) to my bluetooth headset and the only way I have found to fix this is a soft reboot, turning off the bluetooth on the phone doesn't help.
SOLVED!

I had this same issue with v2 v3 and now in v5 of the l26 roms. It would not ring, but the phone had sound.
What I did to fix it was go to Start->Settings-> Sounds and Notifications and change the Incomming ringtone to another tone. What was strange is if I changed it back to the defaulted ring tone it wouldn't work again.
When I tried changing the ring tone from with in start>settings>phone it wouldn't work it had to be from Start->Settings-> Sounds and Notifications.
Did your phone have any sound?
I have the same issue. Have sound for everything but the ringing. Vibration works, visual notificatoin of incoming call is there but not the ring. I tried several ring tones both in settings->phone and setting->sounds and notifications, as suggested by arlop, didn't work. I have the stock ROM and radio. I did install a few 3rd party apps, and deleted them one by one with soft resets in between to find the culprit , but even without any it doesn't ring. Next step: hard reset, memory wipe. Then: Get phone replaced.
I am assuming y'all noticed that the L26 ROMs had the ringtones removed, right?
No ringtone, no sound.

Mute volume when ringing?

Hi,
is it possible to mute the volume of the ringtone easily?
For example, on blackberry, your phone's ringing, you just press on button, it's not ringing anymore but the call is still pending for the personn calling you. So you'r just shutting it up for that one call
Do you know/think it's possible on Kaiser?
Thanks
D
yes it is a feature but i can't remember if it works on the stock/official WM6.0/WM6.1. so it might depend on which ROM you are using and which dialer it has. since you didn't specify which ROM you are using, i can't be sure of what i am suggesting to you.
i am SURE the following technique works on all the custom ROMs i have tried (and i have tried MANY!). on some of these custom ROMs, there was even a button on the incoming call screen to silence the ring.
the technique: when the phone is ringing, simply roll the jog wheel (on the left side of the device) and that should silence the ring for the current incoming call.
Hi,
thanks for answering!
My rom is la "WM6.5.5|101m|6.5 kernel|Full Roms By jjblaster3|upd 23529|translatable|16/Feb/2010" from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=567850
I just put it yesterday on my phone so i didn't have time to try what you suggested me.
I don't know if it will help you to tell me if the feature is on my new rom
yes i have used that ROM and it DOES support the feature. i think it will also provide a button on the incoming call screen to silence the ring in addition to the jog wheel method.
That's cool I'll try it soon, thanks

Incoming Call Ringing Volume

Hihi,
I just recently updated my N1 to FRF83 on stock all the way and have started to experience a problem during my incoming calls and would like to ask if anyone else experiencing this as well.
Even after setting all volumes (notifications, ringing, media etc etc) to 100%, whenever I get an incoming call the phone doesn't ring and it only vibrates/LED trackball.
I've doubled checked that there isn't any contact-specific settings for ringtones and also tried using a volume control app to 100% all volumes. Also checked that its not a speaker problem cos the chosen ringtone plays alright on music players. Also tried both custom ringtones and default ringtones and there's no difference.
Been using my sister's phone to call my phone and the thing is that this situation is not consistent.
Sometimes it rings without any issue. Sometimes the ringtone rings for 3-5 secs and silences. Sometimes it does not ring while trackball/vibrate activates. Sometimes it does not ring and trackball/vibrate does not activate as well. The issue is equally inconsistent regardless of whether the phone is on standby(screen off) or active(screen on).
Thanks in advance if anyone can help
I have the same issue with the FRF91 build of Froyo. Looks like the Google forum has a bunch of people reporting this as well.
I'm going to try to go into recovery and clear the cache. If it doesn't work I'll wipe the phone and see if that fixes it.

[Q] Text Vibrate

Is it just me, or does the hd7 lack any sort of vibration for notifications? Atleast for texts? The sounds on it are clownish so I'd rather just have no sound with a vibration on a text. Any way to do this?
Hit the volume rocker and touch the bell icon to turn on vibrate mode. Works for me.

yeah but then when your phone rings it wont ring it will only vibrate.
what the thread point is is that this OS is missing sound profiles were you select what each one does.

I don't think there is a way to do that yet. But there is an update coming soon for it, and I have heard rumors of copy & paste, custom ring tones, and a few other things. Hopefully custom ringers and flash will be included in this update.

[Q] Ringtones all very quite. Any fixes?

I just purchased a Moto G (Global, Dual SIM) model. When I get a call the ringtone (any ringtone, including custom ringtones) ring very soft for one ring, then they ring normal volume for a single ring, the it continues very, very quietly. Its not ascending, its soft for a single ring, normal volume for a single ring, then continues very softly.
And when I mean quite, I very I am alone in my office in the evening with no outside noise and its very quite. It will be unusable during the day.
I have read on XDA people having issues with ringtone sounds. These sounds are intolerable for me. It makes the phone unusable
Is there any fix, or anything I can try?
I have tried equalizer apps, different tones, increasing the loudness on my mp3 ringtone (by 10x), but nothing helps. Vibrate on or off when rining makes not difference.
Many thanks

Sadly not. I am not in any way opposed to rooting phones, my primary phone is rooted, but this phone cannot be for a number of reasons

idk then, the only advice i can think to give you is to uninstall any apps you may have installed near the time this started happening and see if thet solves it.

Although it may not help you (being so long afterward), my solution to this problem was to create a long ringtone. Essentially, I found that, if the ringtone was shorter than the time it took to reach full volume, the second ring started off at minimal volume as well. By editing the file and making it 7 rings long in a single file, the ascending volume reached full volume and stayed there for the rest of the ringtone (6 more rings).
Hopefully this can help you (and any others who might come looking for a solution).
